A cute headcanon for when the Sully’s find a way to wrangle their children for bedtime
Neytiri basically bribes Tuk into getting ready first because she’s the one who wants to stay up late like her siblings
Jake sends Neteyam to do a quick sweep on the clan to bid everyone goodnight and make sure everything is all good (and because he’s the oldest and most responsible he knows Neteyam can handle those responsibilities)
Lo’ak and Kiri are usually tasked to get out the sleeping mats, blankets and cushions and get everything in baskets
Kiri is grumpy at night because she wants to do her skincare routine of healing rose oil and her little science experiments she’s got going on in her little nook
Tuk has a copy cat version right next to hers because monkey see monkey do
Neytiri has to practically wrestle Tuk to get her braids oiled up for the night so they’re not a rats nest the next day
On colder nights they all hog pile together and snuggle up but otherwise everyone is in their chosen spots
Tuk usually opts to sleep with mama all snuggled right up in the nook of her neck
Kiri and Lo’ak used to sleep across from each other until they got in trouble for making a competition of trying to get each other to laugh in the dark by making funny faces and Jake silently dragged Lo’ak right next to him and that was the end of that lol
Neteyam is in his little corner quiet and sleeping before anyone like the golden child he is
When the boys were younger they’d bunk together in a hammock and Kiri and Tuk shared one but Kiri would stay up late on her tech pad and keep Tuk up so they got separate spots
Neytiri and Jake snuggle with each other and pass out fast from all the clan duties and having wild children lol
I thought I’d do something a lil different, since the Nav’i are so connected to nature, it would be a cool concept if they were given a gemstone that represents them when they were born
ᴹᵃˢᵗᵉʳˡᶤˢᵗ
𝐀𝐔: Just like the Songchord that is created when a Na’vi first comes into the world, they are also given a gemstone that represents them as a being. Throughout life, whenever this gemstone appears - it means something. Na’vi use it to represent themselves on their own Songchords and their clan’s Songchords. Their gemstone is also worn as an adornment; jewellery, sewn into clothing, and/or worn in their braids.

・Blue Lace Agate lets you speak your authentic truth

・Her stone is Rose Quartz
・Known as ‘Unconditional & Universal Love’
・Even though Tuk is young, she still shows an open-mind and open-heart to all things
・It’s elements are Water and Earth - which correspond perfectly. Tuk wasn’t of age to have her own Ikran, so she’s not used to being in the air
・She doesn’t judge the Metkayina’s way of life, instead she embraces it. Making friends wherever she goes.
・Rose Quartz restores trust and harmony in relationships
・The Earth element rules Rose Quartz crystals; hence, you’ll easily calm down when holding this crystal, especially during stress, grief, trauma, loss, or heartbreak.
・However, she does come from the Forest Na’vi - the Omaticaya. This represents the Earth element. And since moving, she has become one of the Reef people - the Metkayina. This represents the Water.
・Their stones can foretell their future, but not every Na’vi wants to know their next chapters. So it isn’t a tradition to go searching for your future in the stone.
maxi !! i need thoughts on modern!sully's cause for me i think i see neteyam at college with a business related degree or something
-🐬
business major neteyam is so good but i raise you Math Major Neteyam™ !! idk i just see him working with numbers really well for some reason … AND HE’D BE SOOOO NONCHALANT ABT IT he’s like cleo from math stack exchange 😒 all his siblings would ask him for help but instead of actually teaching them he’d only give them the answers so they can teach themselves … bitch
kiri would obv be a woman in stem !! taking after her mother fr … she’d either be focused on botany or marine biology idk,,, tbh i think she’d be double majoring in anything stem related <\\3
lo’ak… now i think he would’ve gotten into college with a sports related scholarship but would eventually shift to smtg marine related (courtesy of his gf tsireya)
and tuk my niece my babygirl my DAUGHTER… zoology ftw!! u see how brave she is in any situation ?3!:)$ like that little girl can handle anything
The cold season coming to the forest so Jake and Neytiri bring out everyone’s custom made blankets (tuk prefers to snuggle with her mom of course)
Mo’at bringing over extra herbs and tonics to boost everyone’s immune systems
Jake and Neteyam carving new knives because this season is bountiful for hunting hexapedes
Traveling to the hot springs on the hallelujah mountains to star gaze at night (date night edition)
Neteyam and Kiri harvesting coco pods and make homemade hot chocolate for the clan during the communal dinners
Neytiri making some new bracelets and loincloths for everyone to symbolize the colder season
Kiri finding a sun spot in the forest to go and nap for hours
Jake getting nostalgic over Christmas and his old life on earth so he incorporates some traditions with his own family to honor that (Neytiri actually loves it)
The Sully’s gifting each other something like a secret Santa and eat a big meal together and are all cozy
Jake taking the kids to the lab to visit the scientists who are extra lonely this time of year and Tuk makes up some dance to entertain them with
It’s raining out so I decided to whip up this cute little headcanon
On rainy days the Sully’s all cuddle together in their Kelku passing the time by listening to the Pandoran ambience around them
Kiri likes to take out her tablet Jake got her for her birthday, and watch all of Grace’s video logs just smiling and eating some snacks
Neytiri is able to convince Tuk to sit still and re do her messy little braids. Tuk compromises because she knows Neytiri will put all the new rocks and beads she found, in the fresh braids
Lo’ak naps and stole Norms old mp3 player from the lab. (Norm absolutely knows and just lets him) he listens to a bunch of Earth songs and tries to pronounce the English words phonetically like Eminem’s raps lol
Jake and Neteyam carve a few new wooden figurines for Tuk
Neteyam loves to weave; he’s excellent at it because Neytiri taught him at a young age, on rainy days he can just sit and weave new baskets, decor, bracelets, armbands, necklaces, loincloths you name it. Everyone is getting a little trinket from him
Neytiri will try to get everyone queued up and fix their braids one by one. Sitting behind them and tugging their hair to make sure the braids last longer than before because it’s such a struggle to get everyone to cooperate for her
Tuk watches Grace’s video logs over Kiri’s shoulder while she gets her hair braided
Jake will tell stories about Earth and at Tuk’s request; the day he and Neytiri met. While Lo’ak groans “we’ve heard this a thousand times before!” (He secretly loves this story. He’s a sap)
Neytiri will tell stories of the time she bonded with the mighty Thanator and the time of the first songs in the clan. While Neteyam’s eyes light up with every word
They’ll all snuggle together for a family nap. Family naps are very common and they all basically hog pile on top of each other
During rainy season the temperatures can drop significantly at night, so Neytiri and Neteyam handcrafted some blankets for everyone while they all cuddle up together
Listen, it was coming eventually! Here’s a cute fluffy headcanon for when the gang gets sick I hope it brings you some comfort
Jake is used to colds, back when he was human he was more prone to illnesses on Earth due to pollution and poor health so he doesn’t complain much
Neytiri pretty much spends an entire evening rapidly making extra herbs, tonics, vapor rubs, teas, and soup for the kids, and what runs out Mo’at shows up with more batches
Neytiri and Kiri don’t get too sick because they’re constantly taking herbal supplements and drinking teas to boost their immune system, so they are doing the heavy prep for meals and medicine
Mo’at makes sure to stop by to do some Tsahìk acupuncture and healing for Lo’ak, Tuk, and Neteyam who need it most
Lo’ak is a grumpy kid when he’s sick. Constantly moaning and groaning, whipping out all the dramatics “mother it hurts!” Coughing and sniffling extra loud for a little more attention
Neytiri is a total sucker and even though she knows he’s playing it up, she cuddles him, rubs extra salve on his chest and back, gives him an serving of extra soup, and snacks
Tuk stays strong, she’s unusually hyper but Neytiri scolds her and makes her nap throughout the day. She sniffles a bit here and there and complains but Neytiri just feeds her and takes her to the hot springs
Neteyam just sleeps it off. He’s quiet and miserable but he knows he’ll feel better with a large meal and sleeping off the cold
Jake lets Kiri take extra care of him when he’s sick. He knows she loves practicing her techniques that Mo’at taught and pretends it’s bad. “Thanks babygirl” *coughs and sniffles
On the worst day, they round everyone up with bags of the medicine and they go to the hot springs on one of the Hallelujah Mountains. The water is healing and opens up their sinuses making them feel a little less run down and yucky
There’s lots of snuggling when they’re all sick. One is sick, they all get sick, so Neytiri and Jake just wait it out and hunker down as a pack
Kiri’s favorite thing to do is get the digital pad out and watch Grace’s log videos with Norm passing the time by
If Neteyam isn’t sleeping, he’s quietly sulking in the corner weaving a basket or two
Fluffy Headcanon for how the Sully kids were as babies and kids
Neteyam:
By far the easiest baby, Jake and Neytiri thought they won the lottery with him
They had no problem with how Neteyam accepted Kiri when they first adopted her
Neteyam didn’t know any better: that’s his sister
He latched easiest, and sleep training was quite seamless
Fast learner
Very curious as a baby and once he started walking Neytiri had to watch him at all times because he’d get excited using those little legs to run everywhere
He started speaking first out of all his siblings learning Na’vi and English simultaneously which is something Neytiri and Jake did for all their children
Super bubbly and giggly as a baby always laughing and easily entertained
He was more attached to mama constantly gripping her legs and crawling onto her chest at night cooing into her neck
Neteyam possessed a strong connection to his Na’vi heritage like his mother and took a liking to mimicking everything he could watching her
As a toddler Neteyam showed great interests for hunting so Jake started taking him to the small river by the camp where he caught his first fish
His first woven armband Mo’at helped him make, he gave to Neytiri which she still wears
Has a small scar on his forehead from tripping and falling on a rock playing tag with Lo’ak, Kiri and Spider but he makes sure everyone knows he never cried
Kiri:
When Jake and Neytiri saw Grace’s pregnant body they immediately knew what to do
Kiri was a shy little thing but very alert and tenacious
She was colicky as a baby and had a hard time breastfeeding but eventually got the hang of it
Slightly fussy eater
Jake was absolutely enthralled with his baby girl always watching her with careful nervous eyes
She had and has him wrapped around her little fingers
Would often follow along with Neteyam watching him and copying his actions
Her first toy was a hand carved wooden Toruk figurine Jake made her which she constantly Carried everywhere; she even slept with it
She was the kid sucking her thumb all the time until Jake and Neytiri bribed her with toys to get her to stop
Proud daddy’s girl
Lo’ak:
Kiri and Neteyam were relatively easy when it came to parenting until Lo’ak showed up
He’s the wildcard baby
Came into world screaming, crying and kicking making his presence known
One word: BITER
He was the most fussy with feedings and latching took forever, Jake had to make bottles for Neytiri just so she could have a break
Absolutely obsessed with Jake, constantly following him around as soon as he learned how to walk
He developed an infatuation for tugging on his brother’s tail and tackling him and biting his ears
Also a thumb sucker
Him and Kiri caused the most mischief together
His first word was ‘No’
Lo’ak would throw temper tantrums when frustrated and Neteyam would be there to comfort him “Lo’ak why you cwyin?”
By the time Lo’ak was old enough he was causing havoc around the clan pulling pranks and getting into trouble
Jake made an extra big wrap just to strap Lo’ak to his body so he could keep an eye on the youngest at all times
Stressed Jake tf out but Neytiri has a soft spot for him the most
Tuk:
By the time Tuk was born Jake and Neytiri had pretty loose rules
She could get away with just about anything
Tuk was fairly easy as a baby but loved to tug everyone’s braids
If you held her she’d have a fist full of hair in no time
She had a sensitive stomach as a baby and on multiple occasions threw up on Jake
Once old enough to walk and talk all she wanted to do was follow around her siblings
Absolutely idolized Neteyam and because of the age difference he would just carry her around the clan as she’d piggyback along for the ride
Tattle tail
Always telling on Lo’ak because he’s mean to her and complains when she would try to follow him around
When she was little she was very similar to her mama; curious, vivacious and totally unafraid
Learned all the curse words from Lo’ak like ‘shit’ and ‘pussy’
Jake almost fainted when he heard those words from her
