Star Trek: Voyager 06.06 Riddles
major drawback of fandom ship name creation style is that i thought tuvix was not an episode of voyager but, in fact, the ship name for tuvok and neelix. this lead to me watching several seasons trying to see what people saw in the two. i now know better but physically cannot get the image out of my mind. this is a couple on the verge of divorce. its so funny to watch. just saw an episode where neelix shouted at him "you don't have feelings for me... you have feelings AGAINST me." and then a few minutes later, "you know what's surprising? i really like him. i just wish he liked me back" they NEED couples counseling and probably also a divorce. i just don't think either believes in divorce. every week neelix says "you aren't the man i fell in love with" and tuvok replies "likewise" or some shit. they live in misery and do NOT want help. anyways highly recommend viewing the show like this but also i wish i could go back and be free.
Say what you will about Voyager and Enterprise, but nothing quite compares to the absolutely batshit episodes in those two shows. Canon mpreg, two characters get merged together, clone made to save a man’s life gains sentience and doesn’t want to have brain surgery, warp barrier break evolves man into salamander where he mates with his captain (also a salamander), whatever the fuck The Thaw was. I love it. I want more befuddling Star Trek.
it's everyone's favorite holiday
SHITPOST DUMP AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
bye tuvix, you were weird and made me uncomfortable
Thinking about whether Picard and Sisko would have killed Tuvix. Since the original Tuvix was a combination of the security officer and some guy, the closest equivalent on the Enterprise would have been Worf and Wesley, or Worfsley. I think Worfsley would just ask Picard to kill him so it wouldn't be much of a moral dilemma.
On DS9, the closest equivalent to Tuvix would be Quark and Odo, or Quodo. This also wouldn't be much of a moral dilemma, as Quodo would be the most irritating being in existence. I think Sisko would kill him without hesitation, even if he wasn't sure it would bring back Quark and Odo.
(Until Lower Decks.)
