Paranormal talk under the cut
Hi and sorry to bother. I was recently diagnosed with schizophrenia so I started following you for support. There's been this one thing that's been bugging me a bit so I wanted to ask, but is it weird that I have schizophrenia and I believe in paranormal stuff? I've just always been interested about paranormal things and it's always been one of my biggest special interests and I have huge collection of paranormal books (mostly about ghost stories) in my bookshelf. I've also always wanted to see a ghost. But I just can't help, but think that maybe I am weird for liking those kind of things especially when I have schizophrenia. Also worth to mention I don't believe that "people who have schizophrenia are just spiritually active etc" kind of stuff (which is actually very ableist) I've just always been generally interested about paranormal stuff such as ghosts and cryptids. But sometimes I just think that what if I'm too weird for having a special interest like that.
I think if it brings you joy, and isn't harmful to you or anyone else, then there's nothing wrong with it! Plenty of people, schizophrenic or not, love paranormal stuff and that's fine!
the mcnasty stream,,,, aefeksfjes god i love all three of these fools. Hope Charlie enjoys the company in his soul.
ranboo is like ‘if i’m gonna die i’m gonna die in a cool way’ and i honestly think that’s why he isn’t scared of messing around w/ paranormal stuff and making jokes etc. i think he’s genuinely content with dying to something paranormal
so anyway I was watching the trailer for Omori and at the end where it fades out my computer just went unresponsive. Like as if it was turned off, but it was still on. After a few minutes we got the cursor to show up but nothing else. I’m not kidding.
Like what kind of creepypasta Doki Doki scp bullshit is this. The eldritch entity that advertises itself as a earthbound-style psychological horror game but breaks your computer when you click on the steam trailer. Kind of a shitty eldritch entity if all it can do is break my computer if you ask me.
Hello, weird question for my followers. Would you guys want to hear about my personal (and other people’s that I know) ghost stories or things that happened that are most likely caused by the paranormal? If you do, please reblog or tag others so they can see it! (because Tumblr doesn’t like me for some reason and keeps others from seeing my posts sometimes) Thank you! Have a great day/night!
this is based off the loey lane episode of buzzfeed unsolved and is a part of my buzzfeed unsolved tss au! :D
warnings: talk & description of paranormal experiences (based off what loey described and what was experienced on camera). this is creepy but i did it for the joke so wkxjjdjdjd
most of this dialogue is word-for-word from the video, by the way. any quotes from the ghost or speaking to the ghost are accurate, though not everything is included here. :)
roman is a beauty youtuber who’s had paranormal experiences his whole life. but only after buying a ouaji board for the aesthetic do the experiences become fearful.
one experience includes a glass of water moving, another consisted of waking up to a deep male voice chanting in his ear.
once, after he fell asleep watching tv on the couch, he woke up to hear a woman’s voice call from outside his apartment’s door: “she’s going to come in now. is that okay?” it felt like there were two people there, and the voice was actually soothing. roman reports that he might have actually said yes—something that terrifies him. but of course, when he went to check the door, no one was there.
so he called trusty old virgil and logan to check it out!! (as if they’ve ever solved a mystery, much less gotten rid of ghosts)
they go in, speak to the ghost(s)/demon(s), clearly hear it say roman’s name, blah blah blah. nothing of importance.
when logan goes in alone, he makes slights against this “demon.” tells it to possess him, eggs it on. he even fakes a demonic-possession-seisure for the camera—why not? there’s nothing in there, after all. he believes roman believes what he saw—nothing more than that.
virgil, of course, points out that logan’s “i believe roman believes what he saw” is ridiculous. who says roman isn’t right?
but he’s glad when logan comes out unscathed, even if he does sarcastically tell virgil that the place is all riled up.
virgil goes inside alone next, prepared to try and unscrew the pickle jar—an inside joke him and roman created while logan was faking demonic possession, an inside joke that logan is jealous of (“you guys have inside jokes now?”)—and is much more careful with whatever’s inside.
he talks to it, gives it silence it can speak during, and nothing happens. he goes out to stand with logan while roman goes inside alone.
roman goes into the bathroom with the evp alone.
“is there anyone here who... wants to communicate?”
the lights flicker.
“it’s so... frickin’ weird in here.”
meanwhile, outside, logan starts flossing to pass the time.
virgil: “now can you slow it down? because i actually don’t know what you’re doing.”
back inside, roman asks, “is anyone there”
hey, roman.
“oH MY GOD”
it proceeds to laugh and growl at him as he freaks out.
“can you tell me what you want?”
i want you to drink.
meanwhile, outside, logan is teaching virgil to floss. (keep in mind, this is from 2019 lmao). for some reason, he’s oddly good at it.
“out, back, in.” they both move their arms back and forth slowly as virgil tries to understand the child’s dance. (no one make a dirty comment about this line. this is WHAT SHANE SAID)
“what’d ya- what’d ya do with them [your other arm]?”
“they’re back. back over here.”
virgil does it correctly, if slowly.
logan walks him through a couple more times slowly, then says, “now fast!” and does the dance at the correct speed.
virgil tries and fails miserably, instead agressively breaking into the shoot.
logan, completely disappointed, vaguely gesturing to virgil’s dance: “well, no, now that’s a different thing.”
cut back to roman
“what is your name? ...i just... chills.”
[unintelligable] come in.
“aH—i think i hate this.”
back outside his apartment:
logan: “i’m sure he’s fine.”
“he’s fineee”
“probably fine.”
they finally go back inside, where roman his very clearly freaked out and nervous. he describes what happened to him and logan and virgil nervously laugh it off.
“well, look’s like we’ve done our job here! we’ve stirred up the place, it feels cleansed-“
roman: “it feels cleansed?!?!?”
logan: “yep, we’re done here.”
in conclusion, while logan and virgil are smart, they’re also dumbasses and not very good at their job.
feel free to send asks/ideas about this au! i’m completely in love with it hahaha

Hey it''s ya boi and i have to ask a self indulgent one. Any ideas on what L would think of an s/o into the occult, paranormal and so on? So not talking about myself of course never. *crab walks away*
Hey!!! I love this so much you have no idea!
L’s really intrigued by their interests. He doesn’t take stock in it necessarily, but he also isn’t one to ignore the possibility of something more existing. (I mean, Shinigami exist after all).
He doesn’t really believe, but he likes to participate in the things his S/O is into. (You hold a séance? He’s there. You want to do a tarot reading. He wants you to do one for him as well.)
Wants to know all the kinds of witches there are. He especially likes the idea of Kitchen, Hedge, and Storm witches.
Asks a lot of questions about types of magick. He’s really into herbs, crystals, and runes.
When they want to go ghost hunting, he’s in. He thinks it would be very interesting to be present if something out of the ordinary happens. He would like to be witness to this.
Likes the traditions of the pagan sabbats, especially the ones that include certain baked sweets.
Of course he becomes an expert on Samhain. He was born on it after all so he takes a greater interest in this. (sometimes he can be a lot with his facts, but you like how into it he is.)
He isn’t a fan of summoning. Even though he has no proof this actually works, he isn’t one to tempt something he is unsure of. (You like that he even entertains the possibility that it works. It shows he isn’t completely a non-believer.)
