°When you met, there were better circumstances, but that was the reality you found yourself in. In an old throne room with a group of people who, like you, just wanted to learn more about Voltera. But the reality was different, the legends and tales were not fairy tales. Vampires were real and they started killing all the humans.
°Several fearful sounds left your lips as you felt not only the warm tears on your cheek but also more and more often the warm almost hot splashes of blood that stained you. How fear turned to panic and the blood seemed to fill the room.
°Blood and death seemed to be everywhere in the room, people torn apart, children torn apart, blood flowing everywhere. In the chaos, in all the chaos of reality, she saw the three. Three perfect beings. Three demons.
°It was a miracle that the three hadn't pounced on her yet. She was somehow able to disappear in the mass of people. She must have looked like a deer in headlights. Eyes wide with fear, tears running down her cheek and the dripping sound of blood that sounded like ticking.
°But the red eyes of the three did not leave her for a blink of an eye. Her heart seemed to beat so loudly that she was sure they would hear it.
°But as the last drop of blood fell, adrenaline flooded her body and the instincts of fear took over, she turned and ran as fast as she could towards the exit.
°But it wasn't even three steps when someone grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her to the ground. There was a force that went through her whole body as if one push was enough to kill her. It was frightening. With her back and head hitting the marble floor hard, she doubled over in pain.
°With one blow, the air had been forced out of her lungs and black spots and a flicker ran through her vision. But as far as she could see, the blonde seemed amused, the smirk clearly visible on his lips.
°Crying and whimpering, trying to crawl away with the last of her strength, she shuffled her figure across the floor. But this too came to an abrupt end when she was grabbed again and got back to her feet with such ease that she was afraid she would topple over again and fall to the ground.
°Instead, the blonde grabbed her and forced her head slightly to the side. But she couldn't even stop herself, only silent tears ran down her cheeks as she realised that this was the end. Killed by a legend that should not exist.
°And yet she did. She was about to close her eyes and hope it would be over quickly when someone seemed to shout the blonde's name.
°Her gaze went to the black-haired creature and saw anger flickering in the red eyes. Rage and madness. Before the blond left her with a last deprecating look and went back to his throne. "Plea-Please, I-" she began to plead, but fell silent when the black-haired man suddenly stood in front of her in the blink of an eye.
°But she couldn't escape any further because he had already grabbed her wrist and was holding her tightly. A shiver ran through her, he was cold as death. A walking corpse. A vampire. But his gaze bored into her, sending tingles through her body. Something seemed to be doing it something she didn't understand what.
°Suddenly a smile came to his lips and a mixture of delighted squeals and giggles left him. Slowly, as if afraid she would be frightened, he lifted his other hand and placed it on her cheek. Smearing the blood and her tears, he just watched her for a moment. "What a beautiful sight" he murmured to himself and his red eyes seemed to show joy.
°But even she could feel that there was something between them. Whether it was his nature or her fear. Had she already gone mad or was there more between them. "She is mine," he said carelessly, not glancing at the other two.
°He didn't seem to care what the others had to say. His will would be done and that was all that mattered. YYou do, don't you?" he asked the question directly to her, seeming to look into her head again.
°Searching for her thoughts to escape the paranoia that had empowered him. But she had no choice. Not unless she wanted to live a little longer. A no would mean a painful slow death she was sure.
°She nodded, barely visible at first, and then gave a broken "Y-Yes" as he took his hand from her cheek and pulled her behind him. Just take her with him, leaving her no choice. "A new pet" she heard Caius murmur and saw the brown-haired man's sad look as he turned his gaze to the floor.
°Everyone in the room seemed to know that his new pet had no chance of escape. She was his partner at least until his parnoid side devoured him and he would kill her. But there was still time, wasn't there?
I think it would be so fucking funny if we got a book from any other vamipres pov and they're all talking about the cullens but they keep referring to it as Carlisle and His Disciples/ the Cullen Cult.
But not even in a mocking, derogatory way, they just straight up think Carlisle started a religions vamipre cult.
The reason Aro is so hesitate to destroy them is that he's been alive THREE THOUSAND YEARS he's DESTROYED EVERY possible PHYSICALLY threatening enemy on the planet (Accept this one pocket of shifters but stick a pin in that one they're allies with the religious Cult at the moment, he can't interfere yet)
But NOW for the FIRST TIME in vamipre history
They have something akin to a religions cult
They have an alternative way of living
They have diverse ideologies and cultures beyond the remnants of a thousand of human cultures each vamipre retains such foggy corrupted memory of.

Carlisle spent decades of his life in Volterra with this ancient greek guy, and as of the start of canon, he still thinks of him as a good friend, and keeps the big baroque painting that portrays him as a part of the family. You cannot tell me that they weren't lovers.
Please note that I'm talking about the book version, because the movies turned Aro into a a cartoon villain :/
