why must i ruin a cute upbeat au with angst? anyway the spinoff of the toon au going downhill has a name now, calling it twisted toons (i still suck at naming things). basically, human!bendy and company’s greatest ambition was to bring their toons to life. after investing thousands of dollars and years of their time in building the ink machine and setting it all up.. it didn’t work. nothing happened. the three sadly declared the operation a bust, closed the studio, and went their separate ways in life.
bUT WE JUST CANT HAVE NICE THINGS CAN WE? turns out it was a delayed reaction, and the toons came to life several years after the crew left. except all of them are a gosh dang M E S S. susie and allison fused together, sammy’s ink is scattered all over the music department, and poor henry dissolved into ink in front of joey just moments after he came to life, just to name a few.
joey is terrified out of his mind and furious that his creator would let this happen. he sends a letter to bendy, and patiently waits for his creator to receive it. bendy heads to the studio, and joey convinces him to find a way to fix his friends and destroy the ink machine.
bendy does N O T trust joey whatsoever. after all, the little toon has every reason to hate him. he follows joey through the studio anyway because really, what other choice does he have?
