Okay, longtime iwtv fan here, here’s how I want the books to be adapted into seasons of a show:

Season 1: Obviously the original Interview With The Vampire, that’s what we’re getting and I love it.

Season 2: The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. I think you could make a great season finally looking into Lestat’s past and his view of interview/season 1, and then the whole rockstar thing, they’ve always felt like one book to me in a way.

Season 3: Prince Lestat, Prince Lestat & The Realms of Atlantis, and Blood Communion: A Tale Of Prince Lestat. All really closely tied together around Lestat’s princehood and just overall are really close. Blood Communion is the last novel in the series and the last entry to the cannon Anne Rice ever wrote, and it ends with Lustat together and happily heading back to France to live in Lestat’s chateau. Overall just a really good end the series, I’d love to see it.

You could do the Tale of The Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil, The Vampire Armand, Merrick and Blood and Gold, but there isn’t too much of it that’s actually required to understanding the later books, and Anne Rice herself said that Prince Lestat was the sequel to Queen of the Damned, so maybe you could add Armand’s backstory in with the other seasons, and and any other info they need without putting the full books in there.

Blackwood Farm and Blood Canticle feel like they fit better in with that and so they should be put in a separate adaptation of the mayfair witches.
