How would you identify between enneagram 5 and 9, especially if it is a Ti dom type. There are times where I feel that enneagram 9 types ( especially istps) don’t really care much about conflict or peace compared to Fe users or Fi users.
Oo interesting! Yes, non-feeler 9s may not come off as 'peace-loving' in the same way as high Fe or Fi users. However, a 9 and 5 will still be distinct in their core struggles and motivations. Imagine a 9 and a 5 shying away from conflict. The 5 may have a general dread of feeling 'used up', having their emotional reserves drained, and being uncomfortable with raw emotional disclosure. The 9 may have a general dread of having their inner sense of calm disturbed, feeling a sense of disconnection or separation from those around them, and losing their sense of unity and harmony with the environment. The two behaviours may look the same on the outside (withdrawing, retreating, not showing up fully with relationships) but the motivations and fears are different :)
