is there any confirmation from cc that ty likes kits back
because i read on some fandom page for twp that the series starts with both of them knowing there feelings for each other
Is it implied somewhere in her short stories or is it answered by her on her tumblr
i’ve had this idea that when kit and ty reunite again ty avoids looking at kit completely. and because it’s been three years kit’s physique and facial structure have changed quite a bit, but ty doesn’t want to get lost looking at Kit like he did three years ago. He doesn’t want to open up for Kit after Kit left and broke his heart, because if he looks at his wild curls and freckled skin, a bit paler, he might not be able to resist. But Ty’s curiosity is stronger than his need to protect himself, and by resisting looking at Kit his need to see how the other boy has changed over the few years amplifies rather than dims. All Ty can tell is that Kit’s voice has dropped a few octaves, and that he’s happier; his laughter is more carefree and his words aren’t masked with sarcasm and passive-aggresiveness.
Kit might be avoiding interactions from Ty because, you know. He thinks Ty doesn’t care about him at all, which is not true, but he was traumatized from being neglected during childhood. But when he doesn’t have a choice to keep a safe distance, Kit still treats Ty with the same respect for his boundaries: when Kit raises his voice a bit too loud and notices Ty cringing, Kit talks in a softer tone. Kit doesn’t touch him out of nowhere.
Then, Ty get’s injured really badly on the battlefield and Kit gets to him the fastest. Ty flinches when Kit touches him. He begs Ty to look at him and to stay conscious. And that’s when Ty looks at him, for real this time, for the first time since they met again. Ty finds every detail on his face, every difference from 3 years ago. Kit is close to tears and he pulls Ty close, and Ty exhales because he’s wanted this again for so long. Ty yearned for Kit’s arms around him, and there they are now, and he’s not dreaming. Kit is feeling so much, emotionally, and he unintentionally uses his powers to heal Ty.
I know it sucks and I know it's difficult for all of us right now but I just can't understand how some people don't believe that the pandemic is real or saying that wearing a mask is no protection at all so they don't wear it...
2020 sucks! I can say that. This year I lost 2 jobs because of COVID19 but that's how it is. The situation is heavy and its frustrating but we have to keep going. Act rationally and think about others. Even if you say "Ehhh even if I'll get Corona it wouldn't kill me so whatever. Bla bla bla" Good for you but that doesn't mean your 80 years neighbor granny have the same conditions as you! Wearing masks is more protection for others than ourselves.
Please keep wearing masks and stay healthy! 😘
Even shadowhunters wearing them. 😆 Look at Kit and Ty 😷😷
I'm no master in literature by any means but this really bugs me. I've read Six of Crows, All for the Game, The Raven Cycle, Call down the hawk, the entirety of the Shadowhunter Chronicles and all those books have really compelling gay couples. In the Shadowhunter universe Magnus x Alec (TyxKit, AlastairxThomas) are more fleshed out and have gotten so much extra content in recent years. Anna x Ariadne and Aline x Helen are pretty nice and all but not as thrilling. I've thought about it for a while but in my mind the dynamic between m/m couples cannot be translated into w/w and those seem cute but a littly bland to me or the synopsis of books just doesn't interest me.
I've gone out of my way to search for explicit lgbtq books and during this time I've devoured some in a couple of days.
Running with Lions(Julian Winters): really cute and thrilling, i've had several moments where I've been fistpumping the air (m/m, bisexual protagonist)
Her Royal Highness(Rachel Hawkins): also cute, somewhat unrealistic (f/f, bisexual protagonist)
Not your Sidekick (C. B. Lee) interesting world, absolutely predictable, cute couple (f/f, bisexual protagonist) (also read Not your Villain and want to read Not your Backup for the ace Rep)
Red, White & Royal Blue (Casey McQuiston) damn what a book, great parallel universe, love too see it some day.. absolutely thrilling storyline (which is somewhat similar to Her Royal Highness but better) actually made me believe in the goodness of American politics (which says a lot because I am european and hate the US government for various disgusting crimes they've comitted during history) (m/m, bisexual protagonist)
My conlusion after reading these books: I liked the f/f ones but the m/m where just objectively better. Am I going crazy, reading the wrong books or not enjoying them as much as I should...? Don't get me wrong I love every rep we can get but I am annoyed. And I also don't want to be the girl that only reads m/m books because that can be wrongfully interpreted in the feteshizing kind of way (bc I find sex generally uninteresting as I am ace, I just love the chemistry baby).
Has anyone had similar problems or can recommend great books who are in line with my previous reads?
Can someone please discuss this with me I am begging ya'll 🙃
Kit slung his legs over the fence on Cirenworth’s balcony, a warm cup of coffee in his hands. The day was warm, but the otherwise blue sky was blotted out with clouds, and droplets of rain would occasionally splatter into his mug. The balcony was overlooking a small garden, where Jem, Tessa, and Mina sat on a picnic table. His family, Kit thought. His new family.
There was Tessa, who he shared his love for stories with Kit, who would hand him some homemade desserts and kiss him on the forehead when he was sad. Who had 100 years of mothering under her belt, who made him feel safe and wanted, who had been the mother Kit had always needed.
There was Mina, his baby sister. Who would grab his hand whenever it was possible, who he would read stories to, who giggled at all his bad jokes since she didn’t really have standards for humour yet. Mina who would spin around in the hallways every morning to show him the pretty dress she had chosen today, who loved him innocently and completely.
There was Jem, who would take him into town to walk in the park or get coffee at the market, who never raised his voice, even when Kit managed to make unholy screeching noises using the violin that he was mentoring him with. Jem who taught him about Will, and Lucie and James, there was also Cordelia, and Grace, and Thomas and Alastair and- basically all of his distant adoptive relatives separated by almost a century. Jem would show him old portraits and tell him stories, though he was a Silent Brother while they were all in their prime, he knew everything there was to know about them. Apparently, they were great heroes who slew Hell’s Princes and prevented catastrophic wars, the biggest heroes and best warriors of their generation. The Alec’s and Clary’s and Jace’s of their time.
Or, the Blackthorns of their time.
He winced at the thought of them all. Not a day went by without one of the Blackthorns crossing his mind, almost two years since he had seen them, two years that felt like the longest of his life. Small things, like how Mina’s plaited hair reminded him of Dru, or how pancakes and waffles made Kit long for Julian’s pancakes, they bothered him a bit, like small warnings poking Kit in the back of his brain. A slight feeling of dread or skepticism, like the peaceful, yet terrifying moment before a jumpscare in a movie. Unlike the rest of them, anything related to Ty would arrive like a punch in the chest. Ty hated him, he knew, he said it himself. He didn’t blame Ty for it. Couldn’t bring himself to, couldn’t bring himself to hate him. He knew he could never stop loving Ty. Kit had lied to him, and hurt him, and confused him, he had abandoned Ty when he was grieving and vulnerable- and now he was too much of a coward to ever face Ty again.
Kit squeezed his eyes shut. He leaned down with his chest against his legs, his chin resting on his folded arms. He tried to focus on anything but thoughts of Ty, he studied the rain on the green grass, the way it shone as the waxy layers of water covered the ground, the way Mina’s little space buns bounced on her head whenever she moved, each individual bump and crevice and texture on the stone walls of Cirenworth Hall. He focused on every drop of rain that landed on him, it comforted him in a way. Kit had spent his whole life under the obnoxious heat of California, a hellish land of eternal summer. He always thought rain and clouds were better than sun. Gray skies and woolen blankets and tree branches getting whipped around by wind, the familiar and constant sound of rain landing on the windows, they fashioned an ambiance that felt cozy and soft to Kit, like a place to snuggle up under blankets and watch a movie.
Ty had thought the same thing.
Ty had told him that, once, when he and Kit took a trip out to the beach by the Institute. Ty had been feeling overwhelmed and frustrated on his quest to resurrect Livvy, and Kit had taken him out by the sea, in hopes that would take his mind off things. It had been raining slightly, droplets peppering some Sherlock Holmes book that Ty had open in his lap. The wind was whipping through both Ty’s hair and Kit’s, the salty smell of the water had been diluted by the rain. The wind was messing with Ty’s book, turning pages and curling the ends, he had sighed dramatically, half of his forearm was holding down the book. Silently, Kit reached over and cupped the hardcover in his hand, holding it down for him, their shoulders touching.
Their hands had brushed.
It had also been raining that day on the rooftop, when Ty had asked Kit to hold him.
Maybe he didn’t like rain that much at all. Maybe he just liked it because of Ty. But that was a reason enough.
look. I know it's been a few days. Listen. The next prompt was "getting married" And I was writing it, and it turned into this really long multichapter fic and I decided to save it for another time. So I scrapped it and wrote this instead. Honestly, it did not need to take this long to write it but it did.
Prompt; Snowballs

More Kit/Ty
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ty was going to be so surprised. So surprised he would probably jump right into Kit’s arms. Kit hoped that’s what would happen. He hoped that many tears of joy would be shed in his name. After all, it had been months since they’d last seen each other face to face. Both of them pulled away for different cases. On opposite sides of the world. Technically, Kit was supposed to be back in Australia in a couple of hours. If he was being honest, Australia was not his favorite place in the world.
But he supposed that was the beauty of being a Shadowhunter who was unassigned to an Institute, and suffering from constant boredom. Sometimes, the Consul, (who was also a close family friend and a godfather to his little sister) would call you up and say, “Hey, can you go down to Sydney Australia Institute and stop a demon worshipping cult?” and Kit would go, “Yeah, sure. I’ve got nothing better to do.”
Which was true. With Ty off being an amazing Centurion, often teaching at the Academy. Kit found himself with a lot of time on his hands. He also couldn’t help but feel a little useless. With Ty being great and smart and all, and Kit...lived in Devon. With his parents. Sometimes he babysat his friend’s kids. So when he got an offer to go somewhere and at least try to be as amazing as his boyfriend, he usually took it.
Sydney was hot, and seventeen hours ahead of California. The bugs were also as big as his seraph blade. While he did enjoy the warm weather, and making new friends. He missed the way the cold air of Devon would rush through his lungs. His new friends also enjoyed making constant fun of his accent. When the head of the Institute said that someone needed to portal over to New York and give a report to the Consul, Kit leaped at the chance to go back to the northern hemisphere.
He had planned to simply pop over to New York, and then Magnus would throw him back over to Sydney. But when he had gotten there, Catarina Ross had been there too, and invited him back to the Scholomance with her. Just for a quick visit. Kit had pretended not to notice Magnus’s grin or Alec’s raised eyebrows.
When Catarina and Kit had arrived at the Scholomance, the sun was shining but the rays were weak, the air was cold, and the ground was littered with snow. Catarina had said she had a meeting and would see him in a few hours. She left him, with a wink and a nod towards the left side of the building, standing at the front doors. Kit rolled his eyes at himself, his hand rubbing the back of his neck, and a grin spreading across his face.
Ty was going to be so surprised.
Kit made his way around the building, his feet trudging through the snow. He had been to the Scholomance enough times that he knew which side of the building Ty’s room was in. He knew that it was on the first floor. He knew that it was the window that always had the curtains open during the day. The curtains always had to be open during the day. “What’s the point of the sun being up, if I can’t see it?” Ty had said, when Kit had complained about it one morning in Devon.
The thought turned Kit’s grin into a softer smile. He missed Ty so much. He couldn’t wait to see Ty come running into his arms. Kit rounded the side of the building, his breath puffing in the cold air. He looked up at all the windows lining the wall, even though he knew which one was Ty’s. He looked anyway, and saw that all the curtains closed against the cold. Except one.
Kit could see Ty, outlined by the witchlight that glowed throughout his room. He was sitting at his desk, head bent over some sort of paperwork. He hadn’t noticed Kit standing out in the snow. Despite Kit’s plans to surprise Ty, he now realized that he had no idea how to gain Ty’s attention.
A simple, “Hey,” sounded lame. So did sending a simple text. He wanted to be romantic. Or at the very least, cool. Maybe he could whistle? But that would be embarrassing if Ty didn’t hear him. Should he just knock on the window? Would it be cheesy if he threw a pebble at the window? Kit looked at the ground, there weren’t even any pebbles to be seen. Everything in sight was covered in snow.
The idea spread through Kit like a flood. He bent down, scooping up a handful of the cool, white snow. He threw the snow back and forth in his hands, packing it into a round ball. The cold seeping into his bare fingers, turning them red. Kit grinned, pulling back his arm. Aiming for the spot on the window directly in front of Ty.
He let the snowball fly.
It soared through the air. Kit’s aim was true. But, he had made one small miscalculation. The window is open, the realization like a cold shock through him. It was too late. The snowball cut through the open window, and collided with the side of Ty’s face.
Ty jumped back at the sudden impact, raising his hand to the side of his head. It came back cold and wet with snow. Blinking, he turned to look out the window. To where Kit stood, a few meters away, his hands covering his mouth in shock. They stared at each other for a moment. Finally, Kit found his voice, “I thought the window was closed,” he managed. Ty still stared at him. Kit licked his lips, “Surprise?” He managed.
A brilliant smile broke across Ty’s face. A beautiful smile that knocked the breath from Kit’s lungs and simultaneously melted his heart. Ty let out a laugh, and wasted no time to climb out the window, and jump down, right into an unsuspecting Kit.
Kit barely managed to catch Ty in his arms, who was barely standing before Kit when he grabbed either side of his face, and pulled him up to kiss his lips. Kit melted at the surprise, pulling Ty close and not intending to let go. Ty kissed him with an urgent passion, like Kit was water and Ty had been stuck in the desert. Kit returned it. He had missed him so much. Ty pushed closer, and Kit’s foot slipped on the wet snow.
He let out a noise of warning, before falling back, slamming onto the ground, Ty collapsing on top of him. Ty pulled back as they collided with the ground, “Are you okay?!” He rushed out. He was looking down at Kit, sitting on his stomach, his face suddenly clouded with worry. But the side of his face, the one Kit had hit, was dripping wet. Even though Kit’s rear end was stinging, Kit burst out laughing, “I’m fine,” He huffed between laughs, “Are you okay?” his hand going up to cup Ty’s face. “I’m the one who hit you with a snowball!”
His voice was filled with laughter, and then Ty was laughing too. He leaned into Kit’s touch, “I’m fine,” he kissed his palm. Kit felt a familiar feeling flutter through his chest. Ty scrunched up his face, “But what are you doing here? I thought you were in Sydney?”
Kit gave his boyfriend a mischievous grin. The one that he knew, gave Ty a brilliant blush. “I told you, it was a surprise,” he said, in a low voice. His grin grew bigger as Ty’s face did begin to flush. Ty glared and in one swift movement, scooped up a handful of snow and flung it into Kit’s face. Kit sputtered at the sudden cold impact, and the snow that was now in his eye.
Ty chuckled, “You dork,” and caught off Kit’s dramatics, with another kiss. Kit wouldn’t really be returning to Sydney until tomorrow morning. Not that anyone really seemed to mind, though.
