-`♡´- Never in a million years did some of the crew imagine Zoro and YOU together, many of them were questioning if it was even real

-`♡´- But after many questions and much more freaking out, they came to the conclusion it was actually real and zoro wasn't holding you hostage!

-`♡´- Most of the crew was supportive! Nami and Robin were rather happy zoro would have someone to look after him better, but a few people...specifically a blonde chef wasn't very fond

-`♡´- He even went as far as to sometimes sabatoge your relation, nothing bad towards you of course but mostly trying to look zoro look bad

-`♡´- chopper was especially happy for you to though,feeling as if he had new crew parents! But brook on the other hand was devastated, sobbing, yelling about his "missed chance" (he didn't have a chance)

-`♡´- But most importantly luffy....didn't care. Infavt he'd be pretty happy with it! Oh one of his best friends and sister dating? Awesome! So zoros like a brother now!

-`♡´- this was was a shock to everyone on the crew. you? sweet, pretty, confident, y/n? with....him? Pervy, twirly brow, woman obessed, Sanji ? Seriously?!

-`♡´- after much, much, much proving to then that you actually WANTED to be with him they were still suspicous but...less

-`♡´- Luffy was perfectly fine with the two of you together, sorta glad actually! He knew sanji would treat you right and he knew he would protect you if for some reason luffy himself couldnt

-`♡´- Nami and robin were slightly relived to not have to fight off sanji anymore, but nami was also a bit dissapointed that he probably wouldnt be as loyal a slave to her anymore

-`♡´- But robin kinda knew this would happen since day one, the way you actually flirted back with him was the most telling. some members even put bets on if you were gonna get together or not franky owes robin money now

-`♡´- This one was (one of) the most shocking for the crew, you and Nami?! did she pay you...?

-`♡´- Luffy was definatly confused; why are you and nami in a romantic relationship? He always thought nami liked sanji or something, but he didn't care much, quite excited actually; maybe you could get nami to lower his debt! she didnt.

-`♡´- Sanji was devistaed...but also intreged, maybe he could get you BOTH to date him now. He tried. He failed. He got hit by both of you.

-`♡´- some was a bit terrified though. (Usopp and Zoro) you and nami? together? a by definiation power couple? they could barely win against nami by herself so BOTH of you against them?

-`♡´- They all saw it coming. except for luffy, he didnt see it coming nor did he care.

-`♡´- Like i said; Everyone saw it coming from the way you both interected and the way Robin would even... flirt with you?! they knew you would get together but they sure as hell hoped not.

-`♡´- you and robin together was; interesting. your personality plus robins morbid yet kind personality was something the crew could only dream (nightmare) of.

-`♡´- Luffy was excited and surpsingly supportive of your relationship! he liked robin and he liked you! so the two of you together? now he has like double bestfriends! (he for sure thinks everyone of his friends is his bestfriend)

-`♡´- the one they LEAST saw coming, Usopp was always so shy and nervous around you, so most everyone knew he liked you, but you liking him? never saw it coming.

-`♡´- as soon as you both made it offical he immediatly started gloating and showing off as much as possible, which was a bit annoying to some people like sanji and brook (earning him a firm hit from them both)

-`♡´- Though his ego was quickly shattered when luffy said "Its okay! i'll still protect y/n after usopp can't!"...safe to say that was a big ol' blow to his self esteem-

-`♡´- Sanji would constiantly glare at usopp for the first few weeks because apperently he "took away his beautiful y/n from him"

-`♡´- Remember how nami was one of the most shocking? well Brook was the most shocking.

-`♡´- Even a luffy was a bit surprised. really? a skeleton? he had so many questions, mostly how would you guys even kiss? (also have sex but he got shut down real quick for asking that)

-`♡´- No one saw this coming. not even Brook. he was eld skeleton and not to mention a bit of a pervert-

-`♡´- Though he was very. very. happy. the rest of the crew? bewildered and some (sanji) angry and sobbing

-`♡´- they'd of course try and be supportive! just took a bit of warming up too... but generally most everyone was happy for you both

SELF-CONSCIOUS ft. LAW, USOPP, FRANKY

info: how they react when reader is self-conscious about their appearance! not proofread tw for body dysmorphia, weight insecurity, tummy insecurity

trafalgar d.water law doesn't take it that seriously at first. of course, he understands everyone has their insecurities, even himself has some, but you? the epitome of ethereal perfection being insecure about your appearance? it takes him by surprise. when you come to him talking about how your stomach is so huge and ugly—he thinks its beautiful and almost gets defensive over it—he lets out a breathy low chuckle. before you could confront him over his "laugh", he pulls you into a hug, placing a soft kiss on top of your head. 'if you want to lose weight or something, i will support you,' he murmurs against your hair. 'but i don't see any problem with staying just like you are right now.' after that, he brings you to cuddle him and asks you to say more of your insecurities, if you're comfortable of course. he makes sure to note them down mentally, just so he knows what to praise you about in the next days.

usopp is not a stranger to insecurity, he often have some very good ways to either distract himself from it or praise himself till the dark clouds leave his head. but when you, the most precious person in his life, shows signs of hating your appearance, he freezes completely. "i think you're lying to me, usopp! this entire fit makes me so ugly!" you sign, soft tears coming to your eyes, and pout. a loud gasp from your boyfriend makes you snap your focus from the mirror to him, immediately noticing his wide eyes and open mouth. 'w-what? how can you say that! i would fight three giant huge dragons—again, may i add—for you! and you dare to say that fit makes you ugly?' the way he was gesticulating and speaking made you giggle, making some of the sadness leave your chest. 'plus, 'm the funny ugly one in the relationship!'.

franky let's out a audible 'huh?' when you murmur that you don't want to hurt him by laying on top of his body. your cheeks start to blush and tears brim the edge of your eyes, the weight of his gaze making you feel even worse. without saying a word, he makes you sit on your shared bed and then, after digging through some chests, pulls out the blueprints for his current body. you have to hear a full lesson about how he can not only handle you on top of him, but could defeat a whole army by himself. that and the way he praises you constantly and effortlessly throughout the monologue is enough to make you agree to cuddle him again.

Cold autumn moonlight, a fresh breeze through the air; chilling against your bare skin, small goosebumps disappearing just as fast as they came. stepping into the grass of the sunny feeling the refreshing grounding of nature, despite it being artificial.

a deep exhale you wern't even aware you were holding in - calming none the less. of course followed by a slow inhale but instead of the clear ocean wind; it was the familar scent of... sawdust? you glanced around the empty ship, gentle rocking of the waves beneath your feet while you walked to find the root of the smell.

It didn't take long for the dots to connect after you heard the whirring of a circular saw, muffled by a heavy wooden door that led to the 'usopp factory,' or so he called it.

it quickly reminded you of the only reason you were even out here, to begin with. To find your boyfriend who, after mysteriously disappearing mid-way through supper, had also conveniently decided not to come to bed at his usual time

you approached the heavy oak doors, attempting to be as quiet as possible while you pushed it open a tad bit to peek inside. There, your boyfriend. focused intensely on the small wooden figure in hand, though you couldn't quite figure it out by the angle you were at.

so, in an attempt to solve the mystery of what was keeping him so occupied all night, you quietly tip-toed in. which didn't last long because of the unfortunately oiled hinges of the door, a loud creak immediately causing Usopp to hastily cover what he was doing and turn around to find the cause of the disturbance. The spinning saw immediately came to a halt while he let out a high-pitched yelp in surprise, drawing out an amused giggle by you - he always was a rather skittish man.

His cheeks heated up along with an embarrassed mumble, you weren't supposed to be up at this time! he attempted to subtly hide the small figure behind a few tools before getting up from the small padded stool he was sitting on.

He awkwardly scratched the back of his head while racking his mind of an excuse of what he was doing, he should know better than to try and lie to you though - you somehow were always able to figure it out.

"i was err- working on a prototype for Franky, its a...wood...suction...lamp, a wooden suction lamp, yeah!" how naive. all these months of dating yet he still (and might never) give up on these harmless lies to you. A small and skeptical scoff escaped from your mouth while you crossed your arms in disbelief. "really? And what exactly does this wooden suction lamp do?" "it adheres to- wood... then lights up!" "so...a wall lamp?" No response. he awkwardly cleared his throat and started to usher you out of the workshop, fumbling a few more excused on the way. just as you were nearly out of the shop, you reached to gently grasp his fingers, intertwining them and pulling him close with a faint squeeze to his palm.

"I'll admit; I'm curious as to what you're actually doing, but I'm more curious to know when you'll be coming to bed."  his eyes flickered down to your connected hands for a moment before quickly going back to meet your sluggish gaze. you weren't even doing anything special, but the simple look in your eyes and shared touch made his heart skip.

"i-i'll be there in 15...just gonna finish this project" a suitable answer, enough to satisfy your curiosity. Loosening your grip on his hand, allowing it to slip from the grasp and fall back to your sides. "alright, then. that's good enough for me" a delicate smile appearing on your expression before swiftly pressing a soft kiss to the tip of his nose. a habit you did often but never got tired of, and usopp never quite getting used to as he would always blush like a little kid whenever it happened. Before he could even stutter out a response; you were already walking away back towards your shared cabin, slowly retreating into the cold dark. he basked in the sight, not in a sexual way of course; but pure, raw, love and admiration for you. god was he lucky to have you, a thought that crossed his mind every day.

... the small figure was an anniversary gift for your 6 month mark btw, it was a little carved statue of your first kiss with text that was wood burned into the base "Hopefully this isn't too sappy, Love you." and on the very bottom it said "Get it? sappy cause its wood :)"

info: i wrote out some general cute hcs i have about him, but also some stuff x reader! this was a request — ko-fi

usopp owns a bunch of plushies. it's not any plushie that enters his collection, though; he owns a plushie for every single crew member. a monkey for luffy, a tiger for zoro, a sheep for sanji, etc. once a week, he chooses one plushie to follow him on his daily activities—he closes his eyes and shoots randomly at the plushies, the one that gets hit he picks up to be his helper.

his skin often breaks out; with the help of nami and robin he slowly managed to keep it under control, but his back is filled with small bacne scars mixed with his bigger "battle" scars. he is not ashamed of it, instead, he thinks positively about it—"it's beautiful! it's normal for a honored warrior like me to have scars!"

surprisingly, he has a very good intuition when it comes to flowers. he knows which ones are someone's favorite just by talking for some minutes with them. not only that, but he also picks the best bouquets; the flowers he choses always smell and look so gorgeous, they cheer up anyone.

he is able to memorize the small things and will bring it up or use it if he has to. you say you would like to receive home-made chocolates one day, two months later he is giving you a box full of them. your favorite kind of clothing? he knows and brings you things to try on. your door is not closing that well and he heard it while you were talking to someone else? consider it fixed.

while he is not the best at cooking, he would love to learn your favorite food (even more if they mean a lot for you/are part of your culture). he thinks that the little moments you two spend together, trying the recipes and talking about each dish is more than special and he cherishes it so much—he also loves to eat it afterwards, of course.
