" I want to help. ”
Her eyes snapped up to his, startled and wide in the dimness. “Help? there’s a lot ‘at need helpin’ now, in’t there?”
The woman chewed on her lower lip for a moment, glancing away. There was a wariness to her posture despite her polite, slightly deferential tone. He was a stranger, heavily armored and the like, enough to cause someone like her to take pause. “S’a noble thought, though.”
Diverting from the fact that she’d been in the middle of binding a wound.
Dragon Age thoughts:
Dani and dreams.... Some people have to fight the demons they meet in the fade. Dani is remarkably adept at just “NOPE”-ing the fuck away from them most of the time, which is the usual outcome of her dreams, and the preferred one for her since she doesn’t really know how else to deal with it beyond the instinctual fight of something cornered. This can lead to insomnia, as can the fact that touching the Fade in sleep can cause the hidden, starved, bundled up ball of her aura to flare unexpectedly if she sleeps more than short amounts of time at a go.

Was your muse an easy or demanding baby?
Dani was a quiet baby, above all else. Not necessarily easy, because sometimes even if something was wrong, you might not know about it right away (and prone to trying to wander off once she could move herself around). Only really fussy if she got sick.
Did they have strict or chill parent(s)?
Samahl was fairly strict and controlling of Dani. From some perspectives she might be considered abusive, at least emotionally so. Dani was a burden on her most of the time, from her perspective, as Samahl had been fairly young when her conception had happened.
What was their favorite toy?
Dani didn’t really have many toys as a child. Do lockpicks count? Because she stole a set from one of the older Alienage children at one point. Other than that, there’s not much other than her first knife and a ball that immediately comes to mind.

She grumbles slightly as a chill wind whistles through the cabin, her knees pulling to her chest as she watches the fireplace. A small sniffle was followed by an audible sigh from Birdie before he draped the blanket over her shoulders. She wrinkled her nose at him and snagged his hand lightly, drawing him down next to her.
“... M’sorry, da’ean.” She sighed, leaning over to hug him before resting her chin lightly on top of his head with a sigh. She knew she needed to get better about the weather, but for the moment, this was actually sort of nice.

♟Patching up a wound
A slight hiss of breath escaped her as she clutched her tunic to her chest, the ragged excuse for an undershirt that she wore hanging loose and sacklike on her thin frame. The tunic was likely a lost cause, her blood and... other things staining it, not to mention the rips.
Her fingers curled into the fabric as Birdie put the poultice on the cut on her back. Dani had been quiet since things had calmed down, though she had nodded in response to being spoken to and had moved as told. Her brow furrowed slightly for a moment before she finally glanced over at him.
Her lips parted for a moment, on the edge of apologizing for being a burden but she cut herself off with a soft huff of breath and looked down again with a muttered thanks.
“You need to look where you’re going.”
The petite woman looked up at Korra, startled, before hopping up along the rocks, adjusting her bag on her shoulder. “Oh-oh… Apologies, ser.”
She’d been looking over her shoulder when she’d come around the outcropping and basically barreled into the other woman. Dani gave her a quick glance-over from her perch, eyes curious and searching. Not that it was entirely likely that she’d have caused too much damage, but well, she’d hate to cause undue trouble
