Okay, but Jeremiah's soul trapped in a vessel that's just out of Bruce's reach is killing me rn. I've already established that in my Vampire!Bruce AU he's slowly losing his memories and in that AU he also (while human) tragically lost the love of his life Jeremiah to the dastardly deeds of Jeremiah's jealous brother Jerome. Bruce, in order to save Miah's life, sealed his soul into an object (I like to think it's Miah's glasses or maybe his mother's bloodied pearls) and hid it away for safe keeping. Then other shenanigans happen. He's a vampire now, and he can't remember where he left Miah's soul and he's questing for it. Eventually he realises, it's hidden in his parent's tomb. Which is on hallowed grounds, so as a vampire he can't cross it, and since he's the last Wayne, he's the only one who can enter due to the protection wards around the crypt. So Miah is forever trapped just outside of his lover's reach.

I can't decide if Jerome is a werewolf or a zombie. Cause Bruce is definitely a vampire, and someone wrote a story with the twins as gorgons and that was awesome... I think maybe Jerome is a zombie werewolf and pre-spray Jeremiah was a werewolf who hadn't "triggered" his curse yet. Kind of a Vampire Diaries esk you have to kill someone to unleash the beast thing. Maybe Jerome arises as a zombie werewolf, and Jeremiah becomes some kind of vampire-werewolf hybrid. I just can't decide.

I just started adjusting a scene with Vampire!Bruce and Zatana as they're investigating a haunted church (cause the AU also includes monster hunter Bruce in Gotham, it's a whole thing, don't worry about it) and Bruce is doing a long speech about how much he misses Miah, not realising that he's revealing a lot of info (cause magic) and I gotta say finally getting to put this incredibly stoic characters words into poetic sentences as he describes losing his starlight and subsequently the will to live is really stabbing me in the heart rn.

I'm realising now how much the Witcher has influenced my writing of the Vampire!Batman AU
