Lucifer has known you for quite some time. He met you when you were still human. He met you when you left your hometown. You sought revenge on those who had harmed you, who were mired in vice and greed. That's why you turned to him for help. Lucifer was surprised to meet you, but he was even more surprised by your determination. You were ready to give him your soul, you were ready to become a demon if it was necessary to take revenge. Lucifer just couldn't refuse you such a strong request. You've changed. Your soul was now in his power, but he gave you time to take revenge, and after that you had to go to Hell, just like other sinners. He saw how much revenge meant to you and couldn't take it away from you

He had never seen someone who was so eager for revenge and was willing to do something like that. At first, you were aloof, fearing a trick, but Lucifer really didn't mean you any harm. Despite his title as King of Hell, he was kind to some, including you. He looked out for you and tried to gain your trust. Revenge really changed you, but over time, he was able to get to know you better and find out that you weren't such a bad person. The cruelty of others made you become cruel too, but you still had the kindness you used to have

You told him about everything that happened to you, how you told the people of your hometown that you would come back when they didn't expect it at all. You warned them about everything, but they didn't take you seriously. Lucifer listened to you and understood that you had a right to revenge. But your revenge was in the past, and now you could start a new life, a clean slate, and he was ready to help you with it. Lucifer would be lying if he said he didn't like you. He tried his best not to show it to you. Sometimes he remembered what you were like, and then he decided to ask you if you wanted to be your old self again, at least outwardly, but you just shook your head negatively. You knew better than anyone that you had to pay for what you had done, and your life was now the least price you could pay after your revenge

You still had a lot to get used to, but the fact that you weren't afraid of what was waiting for you calmed him down. Lucifer wasn't attentive to all sinners, but he didn't want you to feel uncomfortable around him. He hoped that over time, you would be able to finally let go of the past and then, when you boldly step into the future, he would be by your side

Lilith knew a lot about sinners, and when some of them caught her eye, she could watch them. It could be useful for her. That's how she found you one day. You were a sinner who was looking for a way to return to the world of the living. You weren't looking for a way to be alive again, you just needed to get back there for a while. She was interested in this and soon you got to know each other personally. You told her that you had to return to take revenge on the residents of your hometown, who were mired in greed and vice, the residents who lied to you and kicked you out of the city. Lilith listened to you and felt your anger rising. You were really willing to do a lot for revenge, and when she offered you a deal, you agreed without hesitation

She helped you return to the human world and gave you a few days to take your revenge, after which you would return to Hell. The only thing that would remain the same is your appearance. You remained the same as you looked in Hell, but it didn't bother you. Now you had the power to use for your revenge, and Lilith knew you wouldn't deceive her. She was right. You returned to her with a sincere smile and words of gratitude, after which you said that you were ready for her to collect the debt. It would seem that you were ready to give up your own life, but Lilith wasn't going to do anything like that. She thought you could stay by her side. She saw potential in you, loyalty to your ideals, and dedication, so she knew you could really help her if you were on her side

Every day that you were with her, you got closer and closer. You didn't hide anything from your past. You told me what your life was like before and how you died all alone after being betrayed by those who lied to your face. You just couldn't do anything else. You had to make sure that others didn't suffer the same fate as you. Lilith understood what it was like to be betrayed, she remembered how she was betrayed by the one she loved, she remembered how Adam decided to belittle her. She understood that even though for many, including those to whom you took revenge, you were a sinner whose hands were covered in blood, but for her you were the one who repaid those who were cruel to you in the same coin

Even when Lilith left Hell, she continued to be in touch with you. You couldn't go with her, but she kept talking to you and looking for ways for you to leave Hell, just like she did. It was more difficult, but she had a goal, just like you once had, and she intended to achieve it no matter what

Blitzø made a living by killing humans for money. The sinners wanted revenge, and he was willing to help them with it for a fee. You came to his office precisely to take revenge on those who hurt you, but your request was unusual. You asked him to help you leave Hell for a while so that you could take revenge. It was extremely unexpected and he wasn't sure if it was possible, but when you said that you were willing to pay any money and even sell your own soul, he just couldn't refuse you. You told him that it was your hometown and that you had lived there for a long time, but when you revealed how deeply the inhabitants of the city were mired in greed and vice, they kicked you out, laughing at you. You warned them that one day you would come back and they would have to pay for everything they had done. They didn't take you seriously. You died in the desert, all alone, and only after death could you take revenge on them. You didn't regret what you had done, and you were prepared for what might follow

When you returned to Hell, he suggested that you meet up some other time. You were funny to a sinner, and Blitzø didn't mind meeting you again and spending time together. Maybe he could help you move on. He saw the huge weight of the past that was on your shoulders, and he understood that it was hard to deal with it alone. He knew this better than anyone else, and the fact that you could help each other seemed like a good reason to see each other again

Vassago did not usually interact with sinners. He had enough problems with other aristocrats. But meeting you surprised him. You were a sinner who came to him with a single request. You asked him to help you get revenge. It was an unexpected request and he planned to refuse you. It wasn't what he usually did, but you were persistent. You were ready to give your soul if it was necessary. Seeing your determination, he decided to find out what happened to you and after that he was going to decide what to do

Your story has baffled him. You told him about how the people of your hometown condemned you to death after you revealed their terrible secrets. They kicked you out, they laughed at you. You just couldn't let them keep doing what they were doing. You promised them that you would take revenge, but you died and you couldn't do it. That's why you asked him for help. You asked him to give you the opportunity to return to the human world for just one day and take your revenge. You were willing to pay any price. Vassago knew perfectly well what injustice was, and this prompted him to agree to your request. He didn't really need your soul, but he needed to maintain his reputation, so you made a deal. You were supposed to come back after you went back to Hell

You really are back, as you promised. You didn't look any happier, but at least you relaxed a little, even though something terrible could have been waiting for you. However, Vassago was in no hurry to do anything. He asked you to tell him about what happened when you were alive. Your story didn't last that long, because your life wasn't nearly as joyful as it might seem at first glance. But when you finished, Vassago invited you to stay with them. You didn't seem like a bad person to him, and your beliefs mostly coincided with his own, so he didn't see any problems

Perhaps his decision might have seemed spontaneous to someone, but Vassago was sure that all was not lost for you. He wanted to help you as much as he could, and maybe then you could move on without looking back at the difficult past. At least that's what he would like to believe

Striker was a mercenary, someone who got rid of people for money. He was more than happy with his job and had no plans to change anything. Your appearance in his life shouldn't have changed much either. You were a sinner he met by chance. You wanted to know about the desert in Hell, and he didn't mind telling you a little bit. You were really interested in this topic, but you didn't have the opportunity to go there. You started seeing each other a lot, and he realized that he was starting to feel something more for you, even though he didn't say it out loud. But something bothered him. He was worried that you started talking about deserts in the human world. You talked about it with sadness and he asked what the reason was. Your answer surprised him more than he expected

You told him about your life when you were still alive. You told him about how you lived in a city in the desert and then in the desert, after the residents of your hometown kicked you out. You told him that the residents of the city were hiding a lot of frightening secrets, and when you found out about it, they kicked you out. You told them you'd come back to them and they'd regret it, but they just laughed. But your revenge has been accomplished. When you were on the verge of death, one of the powerful demons came to you and you made a deal with them. You were able to take revenge and after that you ended up in Hell

Looking at you, he couldn't believe that you had done something like this, but he felt angry that you had been treated like this, and he was sure that those who had done such a thing were in Hell. That's why he decided to please you a little and get rid of them once and for all. It was his sign of attention, and when you found out about it, you couldn't help but smile sincerely. It was more difficult for you to get rid of someone in Hell, which is why his help really meant a lot to you, and the fact that he didn't do it for the money was especially pleasant

You had a whole new life in Hell now. Of course, you were still bound to the demon you had contracted with, but otherwise you were free. Striker was also a part of your new life, just as you became a part of his life. He wanted to help you live without thinking about the past, and so far he's really been able to do it

The reader is a young and shy witch that often goes to Hell for seeing how it is, and he wears a magical disguise for fear to be killed. One day he meets Vassago that finds out what reader is and from that moment the demon starts to take a liking to the young witch.

A/n: there was supposed to be italics for when Vassago speaks Spanish but I couldn’t be bothered to reformat everything again. Very long, be warned. Not proof read. (2571 words w/o a/n)

Finding an interest and talent in being a witch wasn’t on your bucket list when you first dabbled in it with a couple of friends who had thought it nothing but a hoax. You didn’t expect to become interested in it, to the point where you eventually became a witch yourself. You never told your parents about it, for good reason. What type of respectable parent would let their child to be a witch instead of having a normal life like any other person?

You were secretive about it, quietly researching and gathering materials to try the newest spell you’d gotten your hands on. A way to gain access to the underworld, or in other words, hell.

The first attempt was a bust, you’d gotten the wrong materials and ended up failing. The second time had more success but you could only stick a hand in, not that you did. You might be attempting to go to hell out of sheer curiosity but you weren’t stupid enough to do something like sticking your hand in a portal without knowing where it was or if it was safe. As safe as Hell could be.

Third times the charm though! As you had finally succeeded on your third attempt with much struggle but succeeded nonetheless. You’d quickly learnt to disguise yourself, playing as a hellborn as you traversed and explored the land. It wasn’t anything like you’d expected it to be. You had expected suffering, pain and anguish but instead found a land much alike earth just more.. gore, crude and immoral.

You’d explored a bit of Pride, careful to not get into any trouble before you’d finally gotten wind of the fact that you could go to different rings. Of course, you decided to explore each ring thoroughly or as thoroughly as possible without getting caught.

After exploring Pride, Greed— you’d quickly given up on it after really seeing it and nearly getting kidnapped the first time you’d even gotten there— Sloth, Gluttony and Lust before you decided to explore Wrath.

Each ring had its own unique and distinctive features. Lust was purple and pink, always seemingly night time to match the clubs and the intimacy of the night. Pride was red and gloomy, seeing as it was home for all and any sinners. Gluttony was bright and colourful, matching the party like theme it had going on. Greed was mostly green and they even have a city named 'Ransom' for god's sake. Wrath had a more country vibe, being orange and being more towards a cowboy theme.

As you traversed Wrath, you realized that it was a nice place.. as nice a place in hell it could realistically be. There were fights as expected but you had always avoided fights to not get caught in the crossfire. You minded your business, exploring and learning more about Hell. You'd basically been exploring for a few months now, leaving back to earth every now and again so that you could attend to your own life outside of exploring.

you used the excuse of having work and being tired for not responding or contacting anyone. You'd gotten less anxious and paranoid while in Hell compared to the first time you first went into Hell. You were a nervous wreck, stumbling and jolting at every turn. Granted, the pride ring wasn't the best ring out of them all.

You'd gotten used to the peacefulness that came whenever you explored more of wrath. It was one of the more enjoyable rings of them all, surprisingly to you. You normally took small walks around and explored different trails all while minding your own business just in case.

That all changed when you had bumped into someone when using a shortcut to get to one of your trails. It— or rather he, was a tall and lanky red bird, parrot perhaps? The bird had yellow glasses on his beak and wearing a red outfit on top of that.

"A- ah! I'm so sorry, I should've watched where I was going—" you stuttered, even with all the time spent in hell, you had never really gotten used to speaking with denizens from hell. You got up, dusting your clothes off and pulling your hood back on. Sure, you'd disguised yourself as the average hellborn and was never caught with the disguise on but something in you told you not to underestimate the bird in front of you.

"No, no, it's fine," The bird replied after taking a moment to blink and stare down at you. He hesitantly put a hand out for you to take and help you get up.

"Thank you.." you muttered, getting up quickly with the help of the person in front of you. You could feel his eyes boring into you, scrutinizing you. It filled you with a small bit of dread.

Was this how you get figured out? What was going to happen if he realized you weren't a denizen of hell? Were you going to get killed?

You gulped lightly. "A- again, really sorry for bumping into you, I wasn't paying attention," you mumbled, trying to play it off and brush past it in hopes that the bird wouldn't find you out.

Unbeknownst to you, Vassago was more dwelling on the fact that you, a seemingly normal hellborn wasn't freaking out at the sight of Vassago. He was rather popular and the fact that he was part of the Ars Goetia also helped a lot, seeing you not know who he was, was new to him. It was like fresh air.

"No, no, it's fine, no worries," He replied, helping you get up. He wasn't planning on bumping into anyone today, he had just wanted to get to that tiny diner that seemed to somehow have some of the best food around. Maybe that was his bias talking since most of the food Vassago ate were normally prepared by his personal chefs to adhere to a diet he hated.

His eyes stayed on you the entire time, this time actually taking a good look at you. Something felt.. off. Very off as if you didn't fit in here, in hell. No, no way. Definitely not, it couldn't be what he was thinking, surely not. Only the Ars Goetia could travel between realms. Well, the Ars Goetia, the seven sins and Asmodeus' crystals. Even then, the crystals were extremely hard to come by and only Asmodeus, the sin of lust himself, had and gave them out to a selective number of people.

You glanced to the side slightly, sweating ever so slightly. "W- well, again, I'm sorry for bumping into you, I'll get out of your hair now— or feathers. Sorry is- is that offensive, somehow? I'm sorry if it is, I didn't mean to be offensive— if that was offensive. Uh, I'll just.. shut up now," He muttered, rambling before you eventually shut your mouth to stop yourself from word vomiting and embarrassing yourself even more.

Vassago couldn't help himself from letting out a snort from the absurdity that was your words. "Calm down it's fine. It's not offensive at all." He assured, raising a hand slightly to stop you from speaking anymore. "You.. uh.. you're not from here are you?" He asked, his eyes taking in your reaction to gauge whether or not what he was thinking was true.

You froze, tensing up as you looked to the side, avoiding eye contact. "U- uh, I'm.. not. I'm uh.. I'm visiting from.. another ring!" You had blurted out impulsively, gulping as you felt sweat trickle down the side of your head.

Vassago squinted down at you. Odd, even if you were from a different ring, surely you had heard of him or seen him before? It only confirmed his suspicions even more, even if he tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. There was no reason for you to be this nervous and look so afraid. There was also no reason for you to lie to him about not knowing him either.

".. My name is Vassago, what's yours?" He asked. Surely, surely, you had at the very least heard his name before?

"Oh uh.. my name is-" You replied, introducing yourself in turn. You had never talked to an actual being of hell until now. Unless it was for directions or small interactions that never lasted as long as this one.

Huh.. you really didn't know him. That was.. new. Everyone he knew and ever met had at least knew of his high status and popularity. It often left him with fake friends and disappointment. That was the final straw, he knew exactly what you were. There was no being in hell that didn't at least know his name. Vassago was a high ranking member of the Ars Goetia and also was part of the council.

"It's nice to meet you," He smiled, holding a hand out. This time to shake your hand instead of helping you up.

You glanced down and up from his hand, hesitantly taking it and shaking it. "L- likewise." You had muttered softly in reply, confused by the entire situation at hand.

The both of you got to know each other better after that interaction. Vassago had invited you to join him at that cafe he had planned to go to before bumping into you after that fateful interaction. You had continued to meet and interact with each other.

Despite your fear and anxiety of getting caught, your defenses slowly went down with more and more time you spent with Vassago. Your time spent together was fun, enjoyable and frankly, left you smiling for the rest of the day even after you had to leave.

You met each other twice a month at first but with more time spent with each other, you started meeting monthly and then almost weekly instead. You found yourself looking forward to your meetings with Vassago, especially after having a tiring day back in the human world.

You glanced around, walking past any other hellborn with swift and long strides to get as much distance as possible. Sure, you had managed to survive this long without getting caught but you weren't just going to risk it all by letting your guard down. This was hell. Who knows what would happen to you if you were caught?

You blinked as you saw Vassago, on a TV. There was a crowd of people surrounding the TV. You raised an eyebrow. You'd never seen that before. You hung back as you joined the crowd, listening in to what they were saying.

"Is that Vassago?"

"The member of the Ars Goetia, yes."

"What's he doing?"

You never knew he was famous. Your eyes stared at the TV screen before you scurried off, heading towards the appointed meeting spot.

"Vassago!" You greeted, a smile on your face as you entered the booth. The restaurant you decided to meet up in had private booths, leaving you and Vassago to be hidden from the other customers.

"Ah, you're here! It is so good to see you, my friend! How have you been?" He asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked towards you, giving you a smile as well.

"I've been good, how about you?" You asked, taking a seat opposite Vassago as you settled into the booth. Vassago always treated you to fancy and nice places that somehow sold really good food despite it looking.. off.

"Good as well, my good friend." He replied, smiling. You understood Vassago even despite the fact that he sometimes spoke in Spanish instead of English.

"I uh.. I want to ask something, if that's okay with you?" You asked, wringing your fingers together as you spoke. A nervous and sheepish smile on your face as you avoided eye contact.

"What is it?" He asked, sending in his order while waiting for you to speak. He'd gotten used to your nervousness and shyness throughout the time you'd spend together. Speaking of questions, Vassago had one that he had been wanting to ask since the first time they'd ever met.

"I uh.. I saw you on a TV.. are you.. are you famous? I mean— obviously you are, you're part of the Ars Goetia, right? I must seem so stupid!" You exclaimed, facepalming at your own words as you groaned, slumping in your seat.

Vassago blinked, looking up to stare at you before he started laughing. "Oh? You only just realized? I can't believe it." He laughed, grinning. "I am part of the Ars Goetia but, I am famous outside of it as well. I was surprised when you didn't recognize me at first." He chuckled, his shoulders shaking in amusement.

You groaned, covering your face. You wished the ground would just swallow you whole instead of letting you sit through the embarrassment.

"Since you got to ask me a question, I have a question too," He replied, looking over at you. His demeanour changed. It turned a bit more serious. "You're.. not a hellborn, are you, my friend?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at you. He wanted to see if you'd own up to it, admit it to him. Especially after you'd known each other for such a long time, a few months but still, rather long.

You paused from where you were bringing a cup to your lips to take a sip of the water. You glanced up at him before back down at your glass. There was no getting out of this, and lying to Vassago especially after they'd become such good friends made him feel guilty.

"I'm.." you started, contemplating slightly before sighing in defeat. "I'm not. I'm sorry for lying to you this whole time." You admitted, clenching a fist as you braced for outrage, betrayal, any form of a negative reaction from Vassago.

You opened your eyes when you realized Vassago didn't do anything. When you finally looked at him, you realized he was smiling instead.

"Ah, my friend, it was all a test! I wanted to see if you were going to be truthful. I don't like a liar, especially when he's my friend." He assured, chuckling lightly as he waved a hand dismissively. "It's good to see that you're truthful. Hellborns rarely are without some form of self interest." He muttered the last part to himself.

You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding before sighing deeply. You'd been worried over nothing!? He had known the entire time yet he still was friends and hung out with you!

"I- I see. thank you, for having faith in me.. and- and not having a negative reaction to me not being a.. hellborn." You replied, smiling lightly at Vassago. It was odd how you'd found such a great and wonderful friendship with a royal from Hell.

"Of course, my friend! You are wonderful company." He replied with a smile before pointing at an item on the menu. "Are you willing to try this with me?" He asked, slipping back into the normalcy that they'd somehow found and had with each other despite.. well, everything.

"Y- yea, sure," you replied, looking down at the item he had pointed out. "I'm fine with sharing.." you muttered. Maybe it wasn't so bad. Vassago and you could work out, you both enjoyed each other company so, maybe, you being a human wouldn't change that at all.

Vassago Headcannons because because I am feral for Vassago content

To start, I want to say I believe Stolas, Vass, and Stella are all the same age.

Andre is a couple years older than Stella.

In my mind, hell's aristocracy has like an annual/semi-annual/semi-centeninal event in which children who are coming of age are formally presented into society.

Maybe they get their full powers, maybe they are presented to Lucifer and Lilith. Maybe they are arranged to marry.

But one thing is always the same, two Demons are always chosen, one male and one female.

These two are basically hells it Demons of the event.

Maybe they even get titles in their own right instead of having their parent's title(s).

It's not expected for these two Demons to be married, but some cases to lead to happy marriages.

Or marriages of convenience. Which is where Vassago comes in.

While he isn't named the male demon at this event, he is an only child, a prince by birth right, he's already considered quite the catch in every social circle.

So of course many many many nobles, varying in ranks, are trying to see if the young, newly of age, Prince is looking for a princess.

From a young age, his parents promised him that the choice of marriage is entirely up to him. Any demon he meets and becomes enamored with. The only thing they ask is that, eventually, an heir is brought into the family.

Of course, only a very select few know he actually prefers the company of men.

Which does complicate the whole heir thing.

Enter his best friend. She's also a Goetia, dashingly charming, intellectual, kind, and even beautiful.

She's the oldest child of some terribly distant arranged marriage. Great family. Just not the most social hell family.

Her father is a Duke. So she is only a Lady, but that does change at this event.

She was crowned the demoness of the event. With this comes a title of her own, legions to command, a palace, so much more.

She is shot to the top of the social scene.

Much to Stella's horror, as she was always predicted to be crowned at this event. Even as a hatchling.

"Hey, you needed a break from inside too, Princressa Nueva?" He jokes.

" Vass, there's has to be some type of mistake. I do not belong on the forefront of society. Do you think I can kindly reject it??"

"Hah, I'm sorry Vivi (his nickname for her), I don't think that's an option. Though, it might make Stella happy."

They laugh together on the balcony, wine, beginning to cloud their judgement.

"I'm scared. I don't want to be a Princess. I especially don't want to be forced to marry some power hungry SOB who will try to tell me how things should be done. I saw my parents talking to Andrealphus and his parents. I would rather throw myself into the streets of Greed than marry that pretentious prick." She will grumpily throw herself to the bench.

A metaphorical light bulb goes off in Vassago's head.

"Marry me then."

He can't tell if it's the wine, or the excitement of an answer to his own problem that makes him say those three words.

She looks up at the friend she's known her whole life, confused, a little mad, but mostly intrigued. "Do you want to explain orr??"

"Well, I'm a Prince already. I'm not a power hungry SOB to worry about. I'm also currently dodging marriage proposals since coming of age. Y, puedo cocinar tus comidas favoritas. (And I can cook your favorite foods)."

She continues to look at him, conflicted. He is the best possible circumstance. He's always been nice to her and her family.

"We're going to be obligated to convince an heir at some point. I don't want you to have to do something you don't want to do." She quietly says.

He looks away. He has always found himself attracted to men. She was actually the first friend he told about this. She was compassionate, heard him out. They would compare crushes they had. This bonded them closer.

And he would be lying if he said he hadn't considered the possibility before. If there was any woman he could think about being married to, it would be her.

"One heir is all we need. After that, I'm sure we could come up with some type of mutually beneficial agreement, no?" He now sits next to her on the bench.

The rest was history. They got married the following year, and within the same year, they welcomed their son into hell. The same year Octavia was.

From there, they were able to come to their agreement:

At least 4 weekly family dinners, though they did often eat together more.

Monthly dinners with both his and hers parents to make sure everything looked normal.

They had to attend one monthly public royal affair. Could be any of them, but they must be seen in public together.

Secrecy is key. Tell nobody about the other one's adventures.

Vassago can bring his partners home anytime.

She can bring her partners home anytime.

If either she or he had an issue, or a gut feeling about the other's choice in partner, the partner was asked to leave. No questions. They trusted each other.

Their staff was hand selected to uphold their very strict discretion.

In regards to their son, they are equals. Not one parent has more say than the other.

If either of them want out of this agreement, it ends. No hard feelings.
