HELLO !! how strong of an idea do you have of any given piece before you start painting? and do you do sketches first or just go right to it?
I usually have a pretty good idea of what I wanna do before I draw! Very rarely will I do a sketch and most of the time I just jump right in since I find that planning art out outside of just having the idea in my head makes me not wanna work on it. I will do very basic concept sketches just to get the composition down so I don’t forget it, but they’re pretty indecipherable to anyone but me
I try not to hold myself down too much to sketches if I do end up doing any, I find that I enjoy my work a lot more if I just kinda go with it and let the piece change while working on it while keeping the base concept in mind
