Hamster!Noob who is painfully shy and hyper-alert, constantly checking their surroundings like someone is out trying to get to them.
They're the pet of one of your neighbours, who often leave them in your care due to their busy schedule.
They often huddle in corners, nervously munching on their treats and cowering at the smallest shadow.
They do like you a lot, though. Noob likes curling at your side on the couch, sharing their favourite snack with you while staring with those big, beady eyes of theirs, cheeks puffed up from the amount of treats they had (give them a hamster wheel or they might explode /j).
Kitty!Two Time who is the little scruffy stray you find outside your apartment complex, some pitiful creature that looks sorry to exist.
They're part of some sort of colony of other strays (and sometimes domesticated pets) that all follow under the guidence of an older stray.
Whenever they see you, Two Time immediately starts following you around, yowling and butting their head against you, calling for your attention. Such a needy cat.
They like hugging you, almost to the point of digging their claws in your skin, rubbing their cheek all over you, muttering something about "blessings" and whatnot.
Dogboy!007n7 who is also a stray at the local dogpound, isolated from everyone. Nobody likes him for some reason :/
He has a child of his own, a smaller puppy who's known as C00lkidd, a tiny creature of chaos that he took in out of pity.
Like Two Time, he also perks up whenever he sees you, but he doesn't follow you around. He thinks you won't like him, and won't even think of adopting him since he's so old.
He likes sitting at your feet whenever you visit, laying his head in your lap as you pet his ears, his tail wagging just for a brief moment, letting himself imagine having a home and a owner who loves him.
Catboy!Chance who is a pretty boy, the prettiest cat you've ever seen in your life. They're the pampered pet of some rich folks from a gated community.
You might be wondering how you know him at this point. Well, the answer is quite easy, if not ridiculous. You were the only person he didn't scratch or cause trouble while petsitting.
His owners are busy people, and they hired the best professionals to take care of him. Professionals that Chance, in fact, did not like at all. He's constantly disobeying and acting out whenever his owners leave, often making a mess out of the house.
Then came to you, the poor person who they hired on Craigslist out of sheer desperation. Chance didn't just like you, they loved you: following you around, laying on you, even pinning you down for a forced cuddle sesh.
It was really no surprise when one day, coming home, you found him at your doorstep, a suitcase in one hand and a smirk on his face, notification of a bank transfer on your phone with a grateful note from the pampered cat's owner.
You really couldn't figure out what Vee is. Well, she is a robot, that's for sure, but you couldn't figure out what she was meant to resemble. A cat? A dog? A human? Something in between? Were those ears or antennas? Do they even serve a purpose?
Nontheless, at least you found yourself a reliable companion amidst your daily chaos. Well... reliable to say. Vee was still rebellious at heart, often wandering out to explore.
She was made to be a companion bot for people who couldn't take care of real pets for a reason or another, though the project was then discarded.
Vee is still new to this whole "companion" thing, of course, and she does her best to learn more and help you out. She could help you out by getting some solar panels on her, that tails of hers she uses to recharge herself is making your electric bill skyrocket.
Your own sweet puppy, Elliot, was not amused by everything. Sure, he was happy to have a few new companions to play with, but he wasn't all for sharing your attention with the others. Especially 007n7. He recognizes that scent, and he hates it. At least he knows he'll always be your own and only beloved puppy (besides whatever is Vee, Ig).
[The old wood creaks along as you walk amongst the boat. Barrels of drinks and strewn weapons fill these creaky halls,as a sense of dread washes over your circuits…]
