DM: Vikavar asks you to arrive at 10am tomorrow.

Tati (playing Seraph): What time is the ceremony?

DM: 1pm.

Tati: Oh wow. Are they doing professional hair and makeup or something?

DM: Yes, actually.

Hamish (playing Thaddeus): Most of the time is for me. It takes a long time to brush a khajiit.

DM: Adventurers often get distracted or waylaid. They want you where they can see you well ahead of time. No getting attacked by dragons while you're supposed to be getting knighted.

Hamish: We could still be attacked by dragons.

Tati: Yeah, you're just bringing the trouble to your house.

DM: Finally, the master of ceremonies calls out Una.

Andy (playing Una): Last but not least.

DM: Emperor Cherish knights you and announces, "Sir Una, the Thinker."

Adam (playing Billie): Why are the rest of our titles adjectives, but Una's a noun?

DM: You're right, it should be 'the Thoughtful."

Tati (playing Seraph): That's funny though. I'm going to commission a statue of Una in the Thinker pose.

Andy: God yes.

Tati: I'll make it on Heroforge.

Andy: Please.

DM: Vikavar calls, "Announcing Billiman Dusencank!"

Adam (playing Billie): *mimes going onstage*

DM: You cross to where Emperor Cherish is waiting in ceremonial robes. He lightly touches a sword to each of your shoulders, and presents you to the crowd. "I give you Sir Billiman, the Friendly."

Adam: 'Friendly'?

Hamish (playing Thaddeus): Lol, friendzoned by the emperor!

Adam: *scoffs* It should have been ‘the Sexy’.

DM: Vikavar is very stressed by your requests to alter the traditional knighting ceremony. "There is a way of doing these things!"

Kjell (half-elf barbarian): I guess these traditions aren't problematic, so we'll let it go.

DM: "Alright." He breathes deeply.

Godric (fairy warlock): Will there be a party after the ceremony?

DM: "Yes, followed by food."

Godric: Sit-down or buffet?

DM: "A buffet and hors d'oeuvres."

Godric: Will there be plates and utensils small enough for me to use?

DM: He says, "We thought it would be best if we just give you a small plate to yourself and not have you worry about the rest of the food."

Godric: Are you saying I'll miss out on trying some of the dishes?

DM: He hesitates.

Godric: I want to try everything.

DM: He sighs. "Of course. It is your party, after all..."

Godric: Exactly.

DM: Vikavar calls, "Announcing Kjell Michaels!"

M (playing Kjell): I do go up onstage.

Adam (playing Billie): Oh, good!

Marijn (playing Godric): If any of us were going to refuse, it'd be Kjell.

M: Nah, I'm not going to cause a scene.

Tati (playing Seraph): It's just slightly alarming that you had to say so!

M: Well, the rest of you larped it but I'm tired! Anyway, here I am.

DM: Emperor Cherish touches the flat of his sword to each of your shoulders and declares, "Sir Kjell, the Valorous."
