Another paintover/cleanup pass on a 3D character production model, specifically Wingfeather S1’s biggest meanie. These were done to create high resolution “hero shot” stills suitable for print and marketing purposes.

This is how I always thought #Cyclops gear could work, at least according to headcannon (get it?). I've wanted to try my hand at drawing him for a while. I also always thought he would be more fun if he were a bit of a dork, I hope that comes across.

One of my marketing #illustration tasks on Wingfeather was to do paintovers/cleanup over rough poses of 3D character production models, to create high resolution “hero shot” stills suitable for print. I obviously didn’t design anything new here, but the craft was very therapeutic. I’ll start with Gnorm, since his transformation was the most dramatic. Also this is my first posted image protected by Glaze! If it looks a little artifact-ey, you can thank the Ai scrapers! But, the effect isn't that bad, you still see most of the detail.

Sometimes the simplest #propdesign s are the most fun to render.
