‘Stubbornness’

I haven’t been on tumblr in years but I felt like slowly starting to post my stuff here just to have another platform to share my work with.

Some work from Thelma that I did in 2020! It was very early on and a huge honor getting to work with directors Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) and Lynn Wang (Unikitty). It was my first time getting to create early exploratory concepts for a feature and I feel very lucky that they took a chance on letting me contribute to the look and style of the film. A lot of these designs made it into the final too! Congrats to the whole team on its recent release :)

Firstly, a big thank you for your patience during this lull in new content and your continued engagement across our other socials at this time. The Lumifox studio has been going through a pivotal transition period, and in the interim we have not had much to deliver to our dearest audience.

Our next chapter with this studio will be one of exploration and personal discovery, finding new ways to apply our creative talents and passions. We have committed ourselves to our newest project: The Tales of Noone, an original story which we have been diligently working to visualize and bring to the world of animation.

With updates for this project being close on the horizon, we plan to again be regularly active on this platform and have new posts for you all weekly. Please do keep checking in with us, and be on the lookout for any-and-everything Tales of Noone related as our latest story unfolds with all of you!

Happy senior self portrait!

We were assigned to draw ourselves in the style of another artist/IP so of course I chose one of my favorite artists on the HTTYD films, Nico Marlet!

It was super challenging trying to get into the headspace of another artist, and even more challenging trying to translate traditional skills into digital media, but I had a lot of fun and I think it turned out pretty neat.
