listening to the murderbot diaries audiobooks on my bluetooth headphones is hilarious sometimes because it’ll be normal for a few hours and then i’ll get hit with something like this:

and it just cracks me up because it does this with other audiobooks too obviously but it’s extra funny when it happens with murderbot lol

I only discovered the Murderbot Diaries a couple months ago and I’m already on my second listen through of the audiobooks, and wanted to share some of the fanart I’ve done starting of with this little doodle page of how I view the main cast.

Technically I know MB should have less hair probably, but I simply am not immune to the whimsy of drawing fluffy hair 😅

That literally, objectively *does not happen*, that is literally just a fucking lie that Martha Wells is selling to you through vibes alone, and you would know this if you would actually engage critical thinking skills and actually take the time to stop and think and actually read the literal words that are actually on the page instead of going along with the pro-slavery vibes Martha Wells is feeding you.

If you think that that statement that they immediately started treating murder bot like an equal is true, then you should be perfectly happy to pick up your copy of all systems read right now and reread it using active reading and actually reading the actual words that are actually literally on the page, and actually looking at those and what they literally objectively tell you is actually happening, instead of just mindlessly going along with the cutesy vibes that Martha Wells is using to present everything going on in this book as cutesy and wholesome and positive,

Right? You guys are all actually happy to pick up the copy of the book you're all claiming to love so much to actually reread it with critical thinking skills, to oh so easily prove your interpretation correct, right?

You're willing to actually pick up the book and look at what it literally says is happening? Because you know you will be proven correct?

Because you know you're right, don't you? So you should have literally nothing to fear in simply rereading the book using active reading, right?

Because if you're right and I'm wrong about the books being slavery apologism, then surely it would be effortless to prove me wrong by simply rereading the book again yourself using critical thinking skills and active reading, right?

(This isn't even getting into the quote They realize it's a person quote thing as though they literally don't live on a self-styled Utopia where " robots are treated as equals " So what happened to them seeing robots as equals? When they were claiming to have seen murderbot only as a robot? I thought robots were equals where they come from? So why would they treat murder like the slave they literally rented it out as? Oh wow. Maybe because... They literally also use robots as slave labor and Martha Wells wants us to be okay with this.)
