They are soft and rubbersish, except the scales, which are rock hard.

They are an asexual species that reproduce through fragmentation. Specifically with a razor made of a special mineral on their planet.

Since there wasn't any sex to begin with in their case(I'm talking about physical body parts), gender didn't develop as a thing either. So they are genderless creatures

Polyamory is the normalized form of relationship because the cut-off piece(s) in the first minute of separation from the origin body can be combined with others, without a particular limit on how many. So the more parents the offspring has, the better it is believed to grow, both physically, having more data to combine, and mentally, parents having fewer issues managing the child.

Now it has double the appendages, and triple the mouths! Yes, those are mouths on the stomach/tail, and yes, I know they're overused, but I'm bored. (Technically the stomach one was already there, but I only ever had it on concept art-)
