Youβre not gross, youβre not dirty, and youβre not unlovable. Youβre just in a lot of pain and very hormonal. Give yourself some grace and rest for as long as you need. This time is all about you and your healing.
Youβre uncomfortable, nothing feels right, and everything sucks. Now is not the time to worry about what others think and restricting yourself to fit some meaningless standard.
Do whatever you need to do to feel even slightly better.
Your body is working twice as hard right now, let yourself indulge in your cravings. Eat chocolate, ice cream, cookies, bread, and anything else that brings you comfort. You need it. Especially because I donβt want you passing out.
Bloating and acne are normal, youβre not gross, youβre just hormonal. Take a warm shower or bath if youβre not feeling well. Take as long as you need, stay warm until you feel better. Maybe do some self care if youβre feeling up to it. But remember, only do what you feel like.
Now is not the time to stress yourself out and do everything possible. Now is the time to decompress and relax. Stay in bed all day, have couch time when your room feels weird, sit outside if thatβs okay, maybe take a walk if itβs nice.
Just remember to keep track of your pain medication and drink plenty of water. Youβre so unbelievably strong. And itβll be over soon.
Just please treat yourself with kindness and prioritize yourself this week. Nothing is more important than your health and happiness. Spoil yourself, enjoy your cravings, and let yourself rest.
