HY-YAH!! “Caught in a Ham” (2019)
i really need a scene in no way home where the other spideys realize that tobey doesnt have webshooters because his body makes organic webbing and it totally grosses them all out 🤢
i need to find out three things from this scene:
1. do the organic webs smell weird?
2. does he need to replenish them, like drinking a bunch of gatorade or eating lots of pasta?
3. SHOW ME THOSE WEB HOLES
it’s funny how like “the radioactive spider gave me powers to make webs” sounds like an entirely normal superhero thing on its own UNTIL you put it next to the context of “that’s not normal even by the standards of other people who got powers from a genetically mutated spider; we use synthetic webs” and then it’s GROSS. Like you put that context in, and biowebs are FUCKING DISGUSTING but it does sound like a thing a superhero origin would do

Today I discovered a number of people who watched the Raimi movies growing up legit think Spider-Man always had organic webs.
Having grown up nerding out on Spidey, this shocked me that they thought the webshooters were the incorrect version. Now I must know how many others feel this way as well.
