So like, I reactivated my long dead tumblr account just so I could message you and tell you how much I lost my shit over your Sh. fic so far. Like, how absolutely fucking GORGEOUS is your writing? It's so inspiring and filthy and I needed to get a tumblr back up and running so I could TELL YOU. Anyway, any chance we might see some Daddy Namjoon in Sh? Maybe some more primal stuff with Jimin? I'm BREATHLESS.

Let me tell you. I am working on the next two chapters of Sh. right now (I want to make sure that the tension of the story is working out okay before I post something and can’t change it) and Namjoon’s scene is... sooner than any of us might expect. Let’s just say there’s something about him he’s been holding back for a little bit longer than expected. There is an unexpected boom... in unexpected...places 😂

Where Eagles Fly

So I’m watching this episode of 60 minutes

about a chick who’s 31 and eagle-hunting

on the Steppes of Mongolia, and she got a

Ph.D. in that—that’s right, training golden

eagles how to hunt foxes so that humans can

harvest the pelts, giving the raptors the meat,

a symbiotic relationship that’s been going on

for thousands of years, while I’m over here

worrying about my cable bill going up by

ten bucks because I subscribed to HBO to

watch the last season of Game of Thrones,

a saga about completely fictitious peoples,

which makes my life even more derivative

in that I’m living voyeuristically through

the lives of characters that don’t even exist.

Who the fuck is this chick? I’m thinking to

myself, and why am I not her? And who are

these people who get to do beautiful things

get doctorates for it, and make a living doing

it while I’m worried if I can afford to put a

new roof on my house. She is on the other

side of the earth, on the widest contiguous,

undeveloped grasslands on earth with endless

sky as her roof, riding with the horse nomads,

messing with eagles the way I walk my dog.

I want to find a way that this puts everything

in perspective, but I still don’t know what it is

other than the fact that I am fascinated, jealous,

inspired, and vaguely angry at the same time,

and I haven’t done anything to change that.

We Could Be Heroes

This world does not need more clerks

to flounder in rooms and file things;

there’s no more room for jeering jerks

and all the pain their sneering brings.

There’s too many middle-managers now

that try to warrant each step they take;

and bootlickers thrice that modestly bow

like minions for each little penny to make.

Thus, day after day, routines are repeated,

for if you rebel, they belittle and chafe;

there is something cozy in staying seated,

in following rubrics, and playing it safe.

Now is the time for heroes to rise

to show us all what audacity brings,

but when they fail, they’re fools in our eyes;

thus, heroes and fools are infrequent things.
