Writer asks because I wanna know: 📌🏅🔮 and most importantly 💞

did you learn anything about yourself as a writer this year?

I think I did! Mainly I learned how to get myself to finish scenes and stories — what strategies work for me, what level of outlining I need, and so on. I learned that I CAN finish things, past projects weren't flukes! I also learned that I need to stop fucking signing up for exchanges, fests, and Fandom Trumps Hate, because they eat up all my writing time!!

what are you most proud of accomplishing?

Publishing one novella and writing two more; one is a sequel to the first and the other is totally unrelated. (I need to get around to publishing them but I have issues, so who knows when that will happen.)

what are you hoping to write in the coming year?

Well, I am hoping to finish a sort of unofficial FTH project for a very patient patron, but also A Run of Better Fortune, the Regency romance I was struck with inspiration for in the last week, which I'm 4k words into. I don't have a good sense of how long it will be, but I am pleased with how it's shaping up so far. Also considering a proposal to Routledge to write a writer's guide to historical fashion — helping writers figure out accurate styles for their stories, but also information about how it feels to wear xyz or how abc fastens. I would probably make more money with that (it would be a real publishing contract) but it would be much less fun to write!

He’s managing, when another, half-dead Steve in a fucking gladiator outfit tumbles into his yard.

Steve lost his home when his planet was destroyed, stranding him on Battleworld. He lost Bucky to God Doom's cruelty. Only his warbound, Devil Dinosaur, remains with him, & the revenge they exact for Bucky is a faint comfort. Haunted by his past, all that’s left to him is endless battle when the universe rips open, dragging him to another unfamiliar planet.

Both battle weary, knowing grief & loss. Together, they find love again.

Meanwhile, Earth Steve isn’t exactly lost in time. His mission to return the Infinity Stones just didn’t go as planned. So now he’s on a new mission, one spanning space & time, one where he can recover the lost & find his own happiness.
