The concept of dustin feeling even MORE disposable then he already did after eddie died and he couldnt stop it so he tries to emotionally distance himself from the party to prepare himself for what he thinks is inevitable (the party leaving him) and then something dangerous happens and a member of the party (preferablly all of them but i’ll take what i can get) starts panicking really really hard and then when dustin gets to safety he gets wrapped in the biggest hug of his life and he realizes he isnt. And never was disposible

Like, he is definitely dead. And that actually makes him the only other party member besides El who has actually killed someone (Will doesn’t count, he was possessed)
