Why is it so funny to me that the man is literally just called Griffin. Like, no Dr. alright, I understand now but he doesn't even have Mister there! Just Griffin???? Why???? Like how often does that happen in an old book where a character is called by their last name, and JUST their last name with NO title?? All Dracula gets called COUNT Dracula! Griffin??? YOU'RE JUST GOING TO ADDRESS HIM AS GRIFFIN AND LEAVE??????

I can't believe I never posted this here? Last year I was part of a Turks-centric charity zine (y'all may remember seeing the big pieces I drew for From ShinRa With Love, aka the project where I did so much extra art it's how I learned I have arthritis), but going through the tag I couldn't find any of the spot illustrations posted here.

This is one set, and my favorite of the three batches I did, albeit probably the least labor-intensive. I had other ideas for this set, but it just got untenable to keep up the momentum and I had to settle with these. (There is a secret sixth spot featuring Legend instead of Rude, but I didn't end up submitting that one for use in the zine at all.)

‘If you need advice I could offer some’ (okay, actually not that bad. slightly strange but probably in good faith. ‘needed’ more of the fic. probably slightly miscommunicated enthusiasm).

‘How often do you think this will be updated.’ (that’s the whole comment. 0/10. thanks for making me feel appreciated!)

‘Is there going to be a second chapter? I think it has potential.’ (-2/10. feels like a backhanded compliment.)

in short: I write when I write and I publish when I publish. Currently, I’m focusing on my fth work as that is a gift I am writing for someone and I’m putting a lot of effort into it.

please do not act entitled in ao3 comments. it often puts writers off, particularly when you don’t actually comment on the story itself. this chapter in particular is something I spent a long time on and I would love to continue it - when I have the time and energy. but it’s quite disheartening when readers only ask for more without actually commenting on the story.

in honor of the tropetastic bullshit i’m trying to finish writing, i created* a cocktail and will forever be calling it a Stars Are Blind and demanding bartenders make it for me as if it’s a real thing and this is the recipe

- some strawberry lemonade off-brand not actually pedialyte

- a whole lot of kern’s mango nectar

- a glug of white tequila i paid like twenty bucks for

- so. much. peach and orange blossom ketel one (IT IS VERY GOOD.)

- enough whiskey sour mix things started to get interesting

* i grabbed the first five things i saw in my fridge and liquor stash and went SEEMS LEGIT
