Puppy boy Dennis who does NOT like to be lifted up. He isn't going to let Robby toss him over his shoulder and bridal carry it. He will wriggle and fight and BITE before he lets his boyfriend take him off the ground. It's mostly a reaction to how rough his brothers were with him as a kid. So this puppy is NOT getting uppies.
At least that's the normal rule.
But Dennis has been feeling cruddy for the last few days. Just a little cold. He wore a mask at work, drank lots of water, took some OTC meds and slept as much as he could. Robby was sympathetic, but they both knew there wasn't much else they could do for a viral cold. At least they had a rare day off together to cuddle on the couch and rest.
Dennis spent the majority of his day off sleeping with his head in Robby's lap. They ate take out Thai food so Dennis could have some Tom Kha, but his appetite was terrible. He ended up back on the couch until 9 o'clock, when Robby decided to take his puppy to bed.
Robby tries to get Dennis up so he can walk himself, but Dennis just whines pathetically and turns to mash his face into the couch cushion. No matter what Robby says he won't get up, just complains that his head hurts. Robby goes for the silver bullet and begins sliding his hands under Dennis' back and under his knees.
Usually that would be met with wriggling and snapping, but the poor puppy went limply into Robby's arms, whining and shivering. Now THAT made Robby worried. But apart from a fever there wasn't anything too egregiously wrong with the boy, so he tucked him into bed for an early night.
He woke up a few hours later to Dennis whimpering in his sleep, weakly trying to kick off his blankets. He had given him a dose of Tylenol before bed, but it didn't seem to be touching this fever.
His blood pressure was rising when he did a once over, Dennis pulse was high, he was sweating through his clothes, he couldn't seem to wake his puppy up. He gently cupped the back of Dennis' head and tried to guide it down so his chin would touch his chest, but Dennis made the sound of a dog who's had his tail stepped on, unconsciously trying to pull away from his boyfriend's hands.
Robby was up and running around his bedroom swearing as he looked for his keys and stuffed his feet into his shoes with his heart in his throat. He cooed to his boy that he was gonna pick him up, even though Dennis wouldn't open his eyes because of the brightness of the bedside light.
And again a whine is the only fight Dennis has left in his body as Robby lifts him up, resting his head on his shoulder, neck unnaturally straight. Robby carries Dennis to his car, huffing and puffing because his puppy was a grown ass man. He ended up taking Dennis to the ER through the ambulance bay.
He was quickly dragged back, and diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, and pumped full of antibiotics and fluids. Robby stayed by his side. He doesn't want his boy waking up alone.
Thankfully the antibiotics are successful and after a night of observation Dennis is sent home on strict bed rest. And Dr. Robby plans on looking after this puppy.
Thwimp is.. a wimpy Thwomp. They may be tiny, but you shouldn’t underestimate them for that: this small size makes them considerably more mobile, and they jump in arcs, making them a lot trickier! And, I’ve gotta say, I absolutely adore that little scowl they’ve got. It looks like they really want to be taken seriously, but you still just wanna pinch their little cheeks! Well, if rocks had cheeks that could be pinched. Maybe if you’re very strong.
Well, I’m sure that’s all well and good, but what is one measly game appearance REALLY worth in this day and age? What’s the point of even having an enemy if they haven’t appeared as recently as, say, 2012? Well, behold! Thwimps make their grand return in New Super Mario Bros. U! I’m sure they heard the massive fan-demand. They know what the people want, and the people wanted Thwimp.
Name: Whimp (Maybe?)
Debut: Super Mario Galaxy 2
Of course, there’s no way I could cover Thwimp with at least bringing up their little cousin, the Whimp. Or at least I hope that’s what they’re called... turns out they’re never actually given an official name, but come on. If these guys were named anything other than Whimp, it would be a tragedy!
Whimps will only pop up in the Whomp King battle, in the Throwback Galaxy... of course, even though this is an old fight, these guys are brand new! But they’re fragile little fellas, and crumble to pieces as soon as they try to attack you... and if they don’t do that, they’ll be destroyed by the King’s shockwaves!
They’re so young, and yet their existence is so short... why does the Whomp King hire children for his personal guard?! Is his heart made of stone?
No spoilers. Despite being a mess, I was out with friends after the screening so I couldn’t really post my coherent thoughts on httyd 3 other than DILFCUP. I also need to see it at least 10 more times to form a complete opinion and to really soak it all in but it was SO GOOD
The first one is the best and will always be one of the greatest films ever made period, but as far as animated sequels go, this is top notch shit and these dragon movies have always just blown everyone else out of the water, SO much mad respect for them. This leaves me sad that it’s the last one, but it ended so beautifully and respectfully. I’m still choking up over that last scene. If I could pick just one word for the movie it would be beautiful. BEAUTIFULLL
And what a fucking roller coaster I would be crying one minute then laughing my ass off the next, this one is fucking hysterical but without sacrificing the emotions. Ruffnut is such a fucking icon lmao. I’ll try not to say much else because spoilers but wow. I’m so mad I can’t just run back into the theater to see it again and again. Gotta be patient
