doing a stormlight archive reread before wind and truth comes out <3 just got to whitespine uncaged/the duel in words of radiance and GOD it truly does slap. also deeply deeply stupid. one guy runs away one guy gets sat on and adolin has a little giggle. and then the oppression and prejudice of the alethi court makes literally everything fall apart what a fun fun section

how am i drawing... this is weird

somehow (don't ask me I have no clue what this is) I have art. again. I was re-listening to Words of Radiance and got to the duel a few days ago, which I've wanted to draw parts of for a while. did I draw Kaladin yeeting himself into the ring after speaking the beautiful line we all love? or some dramatic back to back moment? ... no I'm not that cool lmao.

I just thought it was funny when Adolin thunked slowly across the sand in barely functioning shardplate, then got an involuntary piggy back ride. so i drew that lol. enjoy. (also yeah, I'm working on a more simple style for comic type things so i don't spend weeks on a few panels lol)

(ignore that I still can't draw adolin exactly right or consistently). anyways. I hope you enjoy the art, and I hope today is lovely for you. we'll see how long this lasts, tho I've been very deeply considering figuring out how to draw comics (for like, a book) so i might have less time if the writing process goes good. ily guys, I'm still open to asks and requests. have an awesome day, good luck out there! <3

The real reason I want a Stormlight adaptation is because I want to see the duel. I want to see the absolute madness and chaos that is whitespine uncaged. I want to hear the roar of the crowd and the gasps in horror when the four men come out and the gasps of amazement of Kaladin jumping in. The stunned silence after and for my boon. I want to see the horror on the Kholins faces as they realize that Adolin might die out there. I want to see Renarin realizing what he has to do and deciding to endure the screams of the shardblades spren to try and help his brother. I want the dramatic intrigue of words of radiance chapters fifty-six and fifty-seven. I want it all.
