Wings have so much whump potential and i need to see more of it…

Whumper binding Whumpee’s wings almost 24/7, only letting them unbind them for Whumper to admire (injury + Whumpee feeling like all they’re good for is to be looked at)

Whumper who is a collector and has wings pinned on a wall, showing it off to winged Whumpee who just feels sick

Whumper painfully clipping their feathers so they can’t fly away

Alternative, Whumper just straight up cutting one wing off so Whumpee can’t fly away. Leaving them with one leaves them off balanced

Dehumanizing nicknames that force Whumpee into a role of being a pet bird (Birdie, Dove, Parrot, Songbird, Tweety, etc.)

when winged!whumpee meets more of their kin, they are rather shocked to be greeted by the sight of beautiful wings arching high in the sky, curling and twisting and fluttering in the wind, looking so... full of life, in a sense.

nothing like their own dull feathers, roughened, and sparse, and set all wrong. tucked so close behind their back, barely moving apart from the occasional painful twitch or an involuntary spasm. whumper would punish whumpee if they moved them otherwise.

until they lost whatever control they had of their wings which didn't include bracing them tight and close to their torso, so they wouldn't get caught in the crossfire.

and looking at this crowd, that feeling of being other that has followed them throughout their entire life— it rears its ugly head back up with a vengeance, shame crawling along their skin.

Did you know you can bind an angels wings in cloth or ropes, and it really helps them understand their place. They might think they belong in the skies and the high heavens, but a few weeks or months or years with their wings bound will help them learn, they belong with you.

It’s actually really good for them, even if they protest and cry and struggle. They just don’t know what’s best.

Take care of your angels by binding their wings, really pull those bindings tight. Until their jaw is tense as they try and tough out the pain. If you hear a pop, that’s fine, you can fix that later. What matters is teaching your angel their place

Mini Whump Prompt 215

Winged whumpee who has grown so weak, they do not even hold uo their wings anymore, and just leave them to hang off their body, dragging their wings around.

Caretaker with an angel/avian Whumpee, pulling out shards of glass from between blood soaked feathers

Wings splayed across the floor, taking up every inch of space while caretaker methodically searches for each and every single shard of glass hidden beneath layers of feathers. The only indicator to where they may be, being stains of red on white. This process is agonizingly slow and is draining not just to whumpee, but to the Caretaker as well.

If you want to be extra mean, you could swap the glass out with shrapnel ;)

Nonhuman (mostly) whumpee and pretty privileges !

I can't get the idea out of my mind so have this list born from my fever riddled mind:

In rescue centers, cute reef mers being privileged and better treated than deep-sea mers or uglier mers (absolutely unrelated to my current story)

A nonhuman pet whumpee being abandoned in a shelter, knowing that nobody will ever adopt them because they're scarred and/or old, not pretty enough

On the same vibe, nonhuman pet whumpee being even more careful and clingy because they're getting old for their species, losing weight, fur/hair/whatever, and their master only want cute and beautiful pets

At an auction, Whumpee being sold at a very low starting price because they're not pretty enough to be sold to the rich customers (and therefore at the mercy of being bought by any psychopath)

Whumper only taking care of the prettiest pets, lovingly grooming their wings/fur/you know the drill while the others have to do it themselves, dreaming of being treated with so much love and care

Mer whumpee being caught into a net and hurt by humans before eventually being released, causing them to be covered in scars and be rejected by the others because they're too different

Not-seductive-enough vampire struggling to attract humans to feed on

Nonhumans whumpees on display, some of them being praised and fed by the public while the others are mocked and taunted

lots of angel/winged whump ideas on my dash recently, but has anyone considered: whumpee still has their wings, but they've been stretched out and bound to a frame. they can't fold them up, it's uncomfortable and probably approaching a stress position, they can't lie down or get comfortable, they can't go through doorways, they're very much on display, like they're an art piece, like a display of butterfly wings but on a person. plus if any part of the wing is super sensitive, easy access.
