Was commissioned as a gift for the fic 'Wingspan' by Wren_ofthewildwood. Genuinely had a lot of with this one; these two are such treasures.

Wing AU!

Before the accident, Danny has regular old swallow wings (pretty common) but after the accident, he losses the ability to use his wings (as it was his wing that pushed the button in stead of his hand in this AU).

Danny adapts to no longer being able to fly, until a ghost attack happens and his wings are taken as collateral from protecting his classmates in human form. As a result of the injury, his wings have to be surgically removed.

Danny's echo doesn't like this, so Danny regrows wings... except they are no longer the swallow wings that they were before, they are now the red ones of a cardinal (known in certain circles to carry messages from dead loved ones).

This is an issue, because now Phantom also has wings (skeletal ones, but wings all the same).

I see all of your WingAU where Izzy is injured and Lucius patch him up or comfort him. And it's amazing

but next we need Pete to build a protesis that may, with work and patience and training work has a proper wing for Izzy

I had this idea for awhile, that Star tapes (Ok maybe not tape but connects) feather wings to her mewberty wings and she can actually fly. Not for long In distance and height since the feather wings are heavy but the more she practices the better she gets.

Little downy feathers were combed free as Jack's fingers brushed lightly through alulas, piled into a plush ball of comfort beside him. As if a tiny storm cloud had flaked down a small nesting of snow.

"Really?" That was surprise, enough to stop Morrison in his trek through molting and aches. He looked down at his roommate, as if the man would notice the scrutinized gaze with his face buried in Jack's shirt.

"Since when do you do that?" He's known Gabriel long and well enough to know the man didn't usually parade out when work was in play.
