Did you know that there's a japanese superstition about whistling at night? what if the "bird" we hear is actually a tengu? I mean, if you think about it, it's kinda possible?? Those flapping wings we hear in the teasers (like Begin & First Love) were heard at night while somebody's whistling! So, Tengus were traditionally depicted as both human with avian characteristicsー which points to Taehyung. We know that Jin kissed the statue, Taehyung tempted him so? (And that's the way he abducted Jin?)

BTS THEORIES UPDATE

Hello stalkers I’m here to say my Wings’ theory will finally be completely posted in 2018. I’d written it a looooooong time ago but only recently I’ve got time to write it here (sorry, busy bitch).

DNA MV THEORY

The DNA music video is definitely connected to Serendipity but it may be connected to all the previous au theories (butterfly effect)  or sun/moon Jimin theory. 

Based on the butterfly effect theory, we know that every time something goes wrong, Jin creates new universes, or “lives” in this case. However, they're always together, which they themselves say here. We also know that they might've died or been stuck in limbo previously. Going with the latter could explain the DNA video. There’s a lot of dimension/au vibes and the set looks a lot like this. 

Even parts of the set itself for DNA looks like the Wings Tour Set (VCR) Around 1:50 of this video, you can see them entering through these walls. In the video Junkook, is the last one to enter though the set. In DNA teaser (1), everyone is already in their positions, and Junkook comes in last (through the doors/walls?)

This could be a coincidence but seeing as its BTS, it honestly not might be,,,

We also know Namjoon tattooed the bird in a wings mv. It is hard to see if it is the bird and it could be the DNA move but there also is a possibility of it being the bird. He also looks at his wrist weirdly. 

Every time they were together previously, they wrecked things and were messes, but they're a lot calmer here. So is it just a dance video or are they actually in limbo? 

Continuing onto the sun/moon Jimin theory from Serendipity. (This is a bit short so I didn't want to make another post for it)  This theory talks about how serendipity is about SUN Jimin and MOON Jimin. (please go read it) In DNA, not only do they have the a pretty identical nebula start, they also have some sun/moon references.  

Only Jimin is seen to appear in front of the sun all through the video. 

During the moon scenes, he’s also the one leading the dance. The sun/moon Jimin theory is v subtle here, but does exist nonetheless.

THEORY TIME: HOW YG/JK AND JM/HS ARE CONNECTED - PART 1

JM and YG’s dots combine in the short MVs for WINGS; why are they connected?

The piano symbolises the harmony between the friends (in the Highlight Reel 2 (HR2) YG and JK are seen playing the piano together).

The burning piano symbolises guilt for the destruction of this friendship - is shown in both LIE and FIRST LOVE short MVs.

An overflowing bathtub is also shown in LIE and FIRST LOVE - this may be a symbol of the overflowing guilt YG and YM cannot keep in for destroying this friendship.

As for how this relates to the HR series (1 and 2 so far):

JM & HS:

JM likes HS’s girlfriend/sister/crush, but watches from afar and doesn’t interfere. Cameras are a prominent symbol in LIE too, when JM seems to be ‘questioned’ and at the end of the video when he turns the camera away (we’ll come back to this symbol in a sec!)

JM is shown with apples often in the photo shoots/MVs for WINGS - this is often a symbol of the ‘forbidden fruit’ often shown in religious imagery = forbidden love for the girl in the skit - JM feels he is not worthy of her love and/or affection: “I lied because there is no reason for you to love someone like me.” (Love Yourself Poster). He eventually eats the fruit in LIE => he eventually pursues the girl in the HR series.

in some way, JM may deceive both the girl and HS to get her to love him => turning the camera away in LIE, towards the painting that HS sees at the end of MAMA, could symbolise some sort of deception - averting HS eyes from the truth. The fact that HS smiles when he sees the picture shows he is blissfully ignorant of the fact JM is lying to him.

the painting also changes into one of a mother and her child at the end of the MAMA MV, showing the parallels between how JM has deceived him and how his mother deceived him when he was younger (by telling him to close his eyes and then abandoned him).

(if you look closely there is also a snickers bar beside HS in the photo above that he eats at the end of the MAMA MV).

the overflowing bathtub and burning piano are featured in LIE, which shows the guilt he feels deceiving HS and destroying their friendship (although it may be unbeknownst to HS at the time).

speaking of which, in the recent posters for Love Yourself, HS always seems to look happy and ignorantly blissful, in contrast to JM who looks guilty and depressed.

in the Jap MV for BST, JM is shown running away from the piano whilst YG stands in front of it, symbolising that he is running from he and HS’s friendship, maybe because he feels too guilty to face it.

but there are so many similarities to the wings shortfilms...
