Taekwondo Pt.1
Along with my mother, Taekwondo, as a whole, art form and specific environment might have been among one of the biggest influences to have saved my life. I could not even try to begin the journey that Taekwondo and Master D has shifted in course. I Feel like Naruto in his Leaf Village and these are things and key ppl I'll fight harder than I dream AND train the defend.
Jill Kroesen and Jared Bark first collaborated when Kroesen sang Mallarme's "Un Coup de Des Jamais N'Abolira Le Hasard" in Bark's performance piece The Neutron Readings. Three years later, Kroesen asked Bark to design sets for her production "The Original Lou and Walter Story," performed at @thekitchen_nyc . Installations and other works by Kroesen and Bark were included in the @whitneymuseum exhibition "Rituals of Rented Island," curated by Jay Sanders, in 2013-14. Subsequently, Sanders invited Kroesen to make a new performance at the #NewWhitney, and she in turn asked her former collaborator to design another set. Jared Bark's set will be on exhibit at the Whitney this Wed. - Sat., July 27 - 31. There will be three performances of Kroesen's play, "Collecting Injustices, Unnecessary Suffering," this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8 pm. Ferid Agi paints the frame we designed for Edward Hopper's "Early Sunday Morning" (1930), made for the @whitneymuseum , while Caroline Potter finishes another frame with a unique stain one table over. We initially made a number of moulding and finish samples for the Hopper frame --and consulted with Whitney curators throughout the design process -- in order to arrive at this specific finish. We gilded the liner for this frame as well. To see the final product, visit the #NewWhitney, or wait for our next post. #edwardhopper #wmaa #americanart #painting #whitneymuseum #curators #customframing #customfinishes #paintcasein #designprocess #framedesign #barkframeworks (at Bark Frameworks)
What she said: I'm fine
What she means: Why is caller ID relevant in the second verse of What's My Age Again? Mark says he calls her mom from a pay phone. Pay phones don't give you caller ID for the person who is calling. Did the mom recognise his voice? How did she know her husband wasn't really in jail?
I vote for my aunt in this year's competition for the World's Most Annoying Aunt (or WMAA)
Her motto: “When you can't get things done, you can always depend on me to get them done by coughing in my niece's face. Literally.”
