As i get older i realize more and more wings of fire is actually not as left as i thought it was growing up and is deeply liberal like tui was deadass trying to justify literal slavery and was trying to say “but guys!!! violent revolution is bad!!!!” TUI ITS SLAVERY. TUI THE HIVEWINGS WERE SLAVE OWNERS I FEAR😭😭😭. TUI THERE IS NO PEACEFUL ANSWER HERE.

Catra as a Wof dragon!!

She’s a Sand/Mud/Sky with prominent sand and mud genes. She can’t breathe fire if it’s too cold, but does not have the breath-holding powers of a typical Mudwing, nor does she have the stinger that a Sandwing has. But, she has extremely hot fire and is an extremely fast flier with a good sense of smell and hearing (like skywings and sandwings)

I hate how in Book 6 when it was revealed Moon was a mind-reader and prophet everyone freaked out and got mad

But in Book 8 when Turtle was revealed to be an ANIMUS, a literal freaking ANIMUS everyone was just like: 😮well he's an animus

THEY DIDN'T GET MAD AT HIM LIKE THEY DID AT MOON? They just sorta 'oh well'

nightwing funeral headcanons!

in darkstalker’s time, the dead had their eyes wrapped in a black cloth with silver embroidery. seers had an eye in the center with a moon pupil, mind readers had a moon in the center and two stars near their eyes, and the imperial had a lantern with a moon in it. dragons born under multiple moons had some combination, and would have the number of moons. non-blessed dragons have the constellation they were born under. the bodies would then be burned, to release the spirit to the stars.

on the volcano, dead dragons were thrown into the lava.

in the rainforest, glory gave them a place to burn their dead. they began making the constellation shrouds after they found documents about it in the old night kingdom.

Weird question for WOFblr but Tui herself for god knows what reason entrusted you to write the next arc of Wings of Fire, what would it be about? Like who are your protagonists, what’s the main conflict, what weird lore-breaking plot-points do you throw in, etc.

I think it would be funny if the cycle of only having kid protags being broken but their is still a group of dragonets who think they are preventing some grand cosmic threat but really just mis-interpreted some random minor prediction, so now there is some slapped together team of an eighty year old man, a queen in the middle of their midlife crisis, and (I ran out of ideas) trying to effectively babysit overpowered teenaged edgelords and to get them to chill.

Also there is like one newly named Nightwing character who doesn’t even make an “on-screen” appearance. That sounds mean but like give the other tribes some room to contribute to the story (especially Mudwings)

i can't find it but. you guys know that post abt a woman who comes to op's village selling cheese and eggs. and how people would have to buy their friend's eggs and avoid their enemy's.

that but for silk with the silkwings (and other assorted pantalan tribes). you have to only buy silk from people you like. and if you suddenly switch alliances it's a big deal. you have to make your own silk to avoid this.

in the hives, this extended slightly to the hivewings, and in the leafsilk kingdom, the leafwings are dragged in. you have to make sure you're buying the right dragon's silk or it's a huge affair.
