May Reading Wrap-Up

thrilled that it's once again my favorite time of the month! I am so glad I started doing this back in January - it's been so fun to keep better track of what I'm reading & scream about the fics I've loved on here.

for the first time all year, I think 100% of these are wolfstar fics <3

it's a crazy time of year work-wise, so I've been truly loving and appreciating short one-shots I can read as little bedtime stories. here's hoping for a chill summer filled with lots of reading!!

we will not be lovers by @fruityindividual [E | 5.9k | Wolfstar] - rj lupin is just having a miserable time - his girlfriend has dumped him for THE sirius black. obviously the only logical solution is for remus to seduce sirius as revenge.

time passages by fruity_individual [E | 86.8k | Wolfstar] - divorced, sad, lonely hogwarts professors. this is somehow both silly goofy fun and heartbreaking and devastating all at once, had to stare at the wall after the last chapter because it was that good/painful, I love it.

The Road to Thistle Creek by @just--vi [E | 85.4k | Wolfstar] - what a true treat and delight to read the most recent chapter just this morning. this slow burning relationship feels like hundreds of dominos slowly being lined up, and it's going to feel so satisfying to watch them finally fall into place!

My problem is I love wolfstar but don’t like the Harry Potter universe.

I don’t hate it, I just don’t like it.

Anytime I remember wolfstar is Harry Potter I’m like oh, right.

Harry Potter feels so meh to me, definitely because of jk being a bigot but also how commercialized it is.

Mind you I say that as a raging byler.

Maybe the word is cheugy but I don’t like using that word. I don’t like to yuck other peoples interests because again, HPU isn’t bad it’s just not for me.

So being a Sirius and Remus fan but not a HP fan apart from base level movies and first couple of books is tough but I power through.

Also they’re so much like byler I think that’s what draws me in in the first place.

On that note lmk any wolfstar au fics set in reality, doesn’t matter the time period or anything. Or even like they can still both morph just not HPU
