Here’s the shortest explanation of how I got to where I am today: I started from the bottom being a help desk representative at an Internet provider, making less than $12 an hour, to being a Program Manager of a team of 50+ people. I was able to do this even with being a single mom of two kids and now an 18-month old. I did it by reading, learning, and applying everything I learned to time management and organization. One of those changes was having a workday schedule that let me work, take care of a child, and even work on my side hustle without feeling overwhelmed.
