Another bunch of singles completed on my hershy sticks with glassbead whorls. This was a gradient batt and I really love the vibrancy of the colours. Can’t wait to 3ply this.

Corriedale Fleece update - "Geoff"
After my post on washing and starting to prep this lovely chocolate corriedale, I've finally finished the merino cross rolags and have a free wheel to spin this!
Since the lock structure is so intact, and with the long staples, I'm doing my first true worsted spin!
Including spinning exclusively from the cut ends, queue fibre crafty excitement 🎉
All it needed prep wise is flick combing with the carders, there's no grease left, which is delightfully surprising.
Ngl I've been adoring long drafting lately, and the switch back to short draft does irritate the hands a little, but how smooth and shiny is this!?
Aiming at keeping the really dark fibre separate from the more weathered locks, for curiousity.
Currently thinking 3 plys and maybe this will be good warp wool? Stay tuned for the results :D
I have a question for knitters/fiber craft people.
I have a wool yarn that I want to use to make a cardigan. It’s worsted weight and it’s label says to use between 4.5 mm - 5.5 mm needles. I have 5.0 mm needles so no problem there. The pattern I’m using, however, says to use 6.0 mm needles with worsted weight yarn.
So do I follow the pattern or the label the yarn comes with??
Best : Bested :: Worst : Worsted
