Truly nothing warms my heart more than when I leave a comment on a years old fic and get a response within hours. Yet another wonderful interaction with a fellow author has been had. Their writing absolutely made my day and it seems my comment made theirs too, at least a little bit.

The Great Writer Positivity Tag Game!

Rules: list your top 3 most popular pieces of writing (fanfiction or original stories, you can choose whether you list them by views or likes/kudos—trad or indie books count, too!), then tell us something you and/or other people like about each one and share a little behind the scenes of writing them! Positive things about your work only, your writing is more than worth it and so are you. It's time to give yourself and your writer friends some love!

First one is "How to name a royal child" with currently 1,257 Kudos. I still have no idea how this one got so popular. It's the second thing I ever wrote and boy does it show. But I guess it's a Zelmo fic at its core—a trope with a clever twist and a satisfying, fun ending. It was the first of many I wrote (and am writing) in this style and it resonates with a lot of readers. Easy to read, easy to love!

Second one is "Stolen Kisses" with 1,124 Kudos. It's the one with the most hits (46k), too (although it's t-rated lol). I like a lot of things about this story. The plot is pretty solid, the writing isn't beginner level anymore, and the characters fit, too. My favorite thing about it is probably the court poet because I haven't seen an interpretation of him like mine (I haven't read longer fics in a while, so it's totally possible I missed something) and I'm pretty happy how everything turned out.

Third one is Inspiration, Illusions, and other Inconveniences with 873 Kudos. This thing skyrocketed through my stats during the couple of weeks I posted it last year. Wow! I was aware that some people liked the concept of fanfiction writer/artist Zelda and Link, but I didn't expect to get so much positive feedback for it. So, that's pretty cool. I like the chats because I'm good at writing banter and chats are always peak for that. I'm also a fan of Link being a pining mess and this one has plenty of that.
