Unpopular opinion: cheating is not a mistake. Stop saying it’s a mistake. The grown-ass person had a choice to knowingly do something stupid and that would cause harm to another, and they decided to go through with it anyway.
And stop pressuring the person they cheated on to forgive their partner. Actually a big fuck you to anyone who pressures the person that got cheated on to forgive and give the relationship “one more try”.
When Paige was talking about college and said “I felt like people already knew each other and if they didn’t they just got each other, but nobody got me” I FELT THAT.
I do not know how to not be annoying.
Just a random vent but I’m really tired of everyone in my life trying to push a relationship on me.
I feel like it doesn’t matter what I say, that “I’m happy being single” that “I’m not ready”.
And yet nobody believes me.
The first thing my friends said when I got into college was “oh soon you’ll meet your boyfriend”.
The only D I was looking forward to getting was my degree.
When I got a job at a motherfucking law school, the first thing my mom said was “ooh maybe you’ll meet a lawyer”.
I AM NOT LOOKING FOR NO DAMN SIGNIFICANT OTHER CAUSE I AM SIGNIFICANT ON MY OWN
I do not have the energy to hate everyone or everything anymore.
Every time I hear the word regret, I never equate it with wishing I did the things I never did or that I said what exactly was on my mind at that moment. Instead what regret means to me is how I wish I would have stopped, taken a step back and thought, just for one second longer, “is this really what I want”, before I did take action or for the words I unfortunately did say out loud, and how if I did I could’ve saved myself from a lot of pain, stress, and possibly bad karma that I still carry today.
I’m not lazy or afraid of putting in the effort
I’m scared that I will put it the effort, the hard work, and that it will all still be for nothing.
That I will still get rejected from the job, that the relationship will blow up in flames, that my dream will be practically in the grasp of my hands,
And then it will fall through.
I’m tired of having it fall through.
New rule. Everytime a parent makes excuses for their shitty son’s behavior or says the oh so popular “that’s just the way he is” fire back with “no that’s the way you allowed him to be”.
No more tolerance, no more holding daughters to such incredibly high standards while sons just get to breeze by.
