Kylo Ren ♠ - Painful headcanon

Hmm, so I’m going to refer you to my sleep headcanon so you can read more in depth on this head cannon. But to sum it up this is the main reason that Ben was pulled to the dark side. Since this is seriously the most painful headcanon I’ve come up with I’m linking that. And here is a lovely little snippet of it being used in roleplay.

The Knights of Ren was originally intended to be a group formed by Darth Vader after the Rebellion was finished. The Knights of Ren were to be much like that of the Jedi Order, they were to maintain order and protect the empire from threats. They were not meant to act like assassins or terrors of the galaxy. They were to be protectors of the weak and protectors of those who couldn’t speak for themselves. His first mission was to free all the slaves in the galaxy starting on Tatooine. With his power he wanted to create every dream he had as a child a reality and the Knight of Ren were going to be that thing that would make it came true.

 He had shared these plans with his pupil, who was far darker than him and was much purer to the intentions of the Empire. This pupil went on to become Supreme Leader Snoke. Before Darth Vader could finish his training, Snoke faked his death and began training under the Emperor and learning the most secret and insidious of his dark ways. The Emperor taught the dark art of inception. The art to implant an idea, thought or memory in ones mind. Armed with this technique Snoke would later use this technique against his former master’s grandson to manipulate, control him and make him his puppet. 

Knowing that the boy would have a strong connection to Anakin Skywalker, Snoke sent him out on a mission to the former Jedi Temple on Coruscant with intent to use the force to show him visions of the past. Of the wicked deeds his Grandfather had done before him in the name of peace. Visions of younglings being struck down by the blade of his own blood. 

Ben’s mind was weak, he needed guidance about what he saw.  Snoke told him of his time as his grandfather’s apprentice and told him a half-truth as to why his grandfather did the things he did. He told him, that he did it to protect the galaxy and that he died before he could complete saving the galaxy by ridding the galaxy of the Rebellion. He explained to Ben that like before the Rebellion, the Resistance was following suit and was a threat to the peace of the galaxy and that there would be no true peace unless they were to all be united under one front. 

To ensure that no others could arise to attest the First Order, the Knights of Ren were created to uphold the values of the order and to kill any threats and possible threats to the order. Above all, this especially included the elimination of all jedi and force sensitives who were not willing to join them.

Ren’s first true test to be inducted into the Knights of Ren was that of showing his devotion to the First Order.  He had to show he was devoted and willing to do anything even if that meant betraying the location of his Uncle and his Jedi Academy. He had to show that he was willing to uphold order in the galaxy at all costs, even if it tore him apart.

In terms of music? I’m really digging Skyhill right now. But, my god, there’s just so much!

NINE. LAST MOVIE I WATCHED. It was either Star Wars The Force Awakens or Saving Mr. Banks. I don’t really remember, to be honest. TEN. COLLEGE.  None... at the moment. Still trying to research to find the right school that meets my needs... ELEVEN. DREAM JOB. Animator/Game Designer  TWELVE. THE MEANING BEHIND YOUR URL. Kylo Ren is a very conflicted character. He’s also very powerful. So... I guess that’s why...?

He watched her closely, trying to see some glimmer of potential in her. There had to be something. Why else would Ren have taken her? Surely he wasn’t.. no, the idea was too laughable, even for Ren. No, she had to know something. He knew it was not his job to extract the information-- not now, in any case-- but he couldn’t help but wonder..

He settled for checking her restraints, making sure that there was no possibility of her getting free. The last thing he needed was for one of Ren’s pets to get free and make a mess. Not after.. 

“If I were you,” he said quietly, regarding her with a sober gaze. “I’d give him what he wants.”
