Xebel in the comics is literally just Atlantean Australia 💀💀💀
Mera in the Kingdom of Xebel, located in the Bermuda Triangle 🌊
Aquaman #19 (2011)
Both Atlantis and Xebel are ancient cultures. Their politics are governed by bloodline and heritage and complex tradition. The Xebellian martial code in particular is very strict and affairs of state are decided by ritual combat. — Mera (Mera: Queen of Atlantis TBP / Mera: Queen of Atlantis #1)
Xebellian characters left to right: Mera, Hila aka Siren, Nereus, Carcharador, Jackson Hyde, Lucia, Elasmar, Davi, Leron.

Atlantean abilities in the movie:
- Durability (as shown by Arthur's fight in the submarine) - Strength (as shown by Arthur pushing the submarine upwards) - Swimming really fast - Breathing and talking underwater - Eyes adapting to darkness - Talking to marine life (Arthur and Atlan only) - Able to breathe on land (Highborns only; that's why the soldiers needed that helmet) - Intelligence (there's the advanced technology thing)
Other notes: - Mera, during her fight with the soldiers near the Roman statues, speed-blitzes her opponents. The dust in the background was moving very slowly, meaning whatever was happening was done in prolly nanoseconds. - Hydrokinesis (not sure if it's an ability unique to her, much like Arthur's marine telepathy)
