When it comes to the question “could they escort Ellie Williams”, Tumblr has deemed Dana Scully:

Chris Carter made a lot of good decisions while helming The X-Files--

What Was CC's Best Idea/Action?

Breaking stereotypical molds with Mulder and Scully

Fighting for Gillian when FOX wanted to fire her (literally: a screaming match)
