Your family's history is interwoven with ties to the supernatural. Sensitivity to cursed energy and the ability to see spirits runs in your family, and many of your ancestors made their living as spirit mediums. You've spent your whole life seeing ghosts as if they were normal people, and are familiar with your family's practices, but have no interest in following in their footsteps as mediums and exorcists. Your parents haven't pressured you into their line of work (for now?), but did insist you join Darkwick Academy. Your family has a multi-generational legacy there, and your parents wanted you to experience the same school life they did. So here you are!
Best friend: Kotodama Zenji
This pairing just makes sense to me. You're more of a wallflower/observer type, so someone social like Zenji would be a great friend for you! He has no problem striking up conversation and making you feel comfortable with his warm personality. He is also emotionally intelligent and attentive, and would never make you feel unwanted or ignored. The both of you would bond over your shared love for reading and writing!! Zenji is always happy to share his WIPs and finished works with you. If you're comfortable with sharing, Zenji would love to read your writing and give his comments (mostly positive with some constructive criticism only if necessary!!). Also~ Since you like listening to music, how would you like to listen to Zenji play the biwa?
Relationship with:
Kagami Subaru
Zenji introduced you to him! With an extrovert around, the both of you were able to participate in the conversation until you both warmed up to each other. You both are quite similar in personality, so it's no surprise to everyone else to see the both of you getting along so well. Subaru is always so happy to see your expressive and more energetic side. He feels honored to be one of the few that gets to see this side of you. He is the same way, but still gets embarrassed when people point out how excited he becomes when he talks about anomalies for example, so seeing you express yourself encourages him to be more comfortable with doing the same. At some point you had a massive crush on him, but he didn't feel the same way. Or maybe he was too scared of acknowledging his feelings... By the time he realized he has a crush on you too, it's already too late. So he remains as one of your close friends who also has a crush on you.
Kusanagi Haku
The both of you didn't cross paths until he transferred to Hotarubi. Once again it was Zenji who brought you two together. For a time you both were the only ones in Hotarubi who could perceive his ghost, so he stuck to the both of you like glue. At first Haku was just a friend of a friend to you, but you warmed up to him over time and felt comfortable enough to express yourself! He was so shocked because he thought you were chill like him, but turns out you can match Zenji's energy when you get excited. In turn, he stopped flirting with you. It's a sign of him getting comfortable with you as a friend~ When you get caught in an unfamiliar and/or crowded situation, Haku is the one you cling and complain to. He's good at comforting you. His side hug is the perfect balance of respectful and reassuring.
Mizuki Rui
You've known of Rui since the both of you entered Darkwick in the same year. He was so popular before his curse after all. So it's kind of funny that he and you are only getting to know each other now in your third year. He got curious about you after seeing you hang out with Haku and Jo. He even hears about you from Lyca sometimes, stories about you when you occasionally spend time with Lyca and Subaru. Before you know it, you've been adopted by an extrovert. You're not sure what to do with him when he catches you with your friends and tries to engage you in conversation, but you know he's being friendly, so you try your best to reciprocate. It'll be easier for him if you came to Obscuary to hang out. Won't you consider following Lyca over for a night? He'll fix you something good!
Kongoza Jo
Mio doesn't get close with many people, so seeing him bring you over to Dionysia was a surprise. A good one! Jo was quick to welcome you with open arms, whether it be guiding you to the front row for a show or inviting you to dinner. If you ever did take them up on the dinner offer, they made sure to sit you next to Mio (they were lowkey you and Mio's #1 shipper since day one). As you can guess, Jo is another extrovert who adopted you, but they're less chipper compared to Rui so maybe you felt comfortable with them faster? They like to include you in activities (especially when Mio is there too), but they also know how to make you comfortable despite the other people around. Gently pushing you out of your comfort zone to hopefully make friends. Hotarubi would be better for finding people with similar interests as you, but they hardly leave their rooms...
Shion Genkai
You didn't exist to him until you started dating his favourite family member. You had no problem with that. In fact you wish you still didn't exist to him. Because now he'll pop up when you're spending time with Mio, claiming he wants to join you both before announcing that he's bored 30 seconds in and decide flicking cards at you is the best way to pass the time. He doesn't have much interest in you outside of you being his little brother's girlfriend, so you're able to avoid him most of the time. Just make sure to walk the other way if you see him on campus. Quick, before he spots you.
Your lover is… Mio Susuhara!
I know, I was surprised when I made this match too. But now that I see it, I can't unsee it. First of all, Mio is literally your ideal type. Kind, gentle, patient and emotionally aware? Check! He's straightforward with his communication too (unless it's about feelings that are hard to express, but he'll get there). He isn't exactly the assertive type, but he isn't adverse to it either, and would do his best to protect and guide you. Anything to make you feel comfortable. What you said about being depended on feels really significant to me too. Mio is very independent, so he doesn't depend on you. But that's not a bad thing! He wants to be with you because he likes you, not because he needs you. That's healthy. He has no expectations for you, no secret tests to pass. He only wants to enjoy your company and make you feel happy. So don't ever worry about disappointing him. A relationship with him is all about mutual support and comfort.
♡ I can see you both meeting while he was making some repairs to Hotarubi's crumbling infrastructure. You bumped into him when he needed an extra set of hands, mostly to help with his tools, and that's how the both of you started talking. He asked questions in between bursts of silence when he had to focus, but the conversation didn't feel awkward, rather calm and comfortable. Mio and you are often overlooked, hidden behind a sea of other colourful personalities, so the both of you would feel a sense of kinship. That's what makes him curious to know more about you. So he keeps coming back to look for you.
♡ Mio's personality remains pretty much the same no matter who he's with, so your switch to showing your more energetic side was a welcome surprise to him. For him, seeing you expressing yourself so energetically is a gap moe... He's used to the chaos in Dionysia, so your joking and teasing would hardly phase him. He has no problem teasing you back! And when you're feeling overwhelmed, he's quick to stay close and ready of offer a hug whenever you want. He'll take your complaints and whining in stride too, unnaturally good at knowing when to comfort you and when to join in your complaining to validate your feelings.
♡ While the both of you don't have the same hobbies, you could bond by sharing about your hobbies with each other! Mio would love to listen to you talk about the manga you read recently or a story idea you have while working on a project. He doesn't listen to music while working, but the silence can get dull sometimes, and your voice is the perfect thing to fill it~ As for him, he'd love to show you WIPs and finished products alike. It's exciting to point out the little details or tricky things he had to work out since they wouldn't be noticed by anyone unless he pointed them out. And maybe he likes showing off a bit...
♡ The both of you have acts of service as (one of) your main love language! Mio loves taking care of you, which he usually shows by jumping at the chance to fix anything for you or make something you need. He'll make you a whole washing machine if you want one. He also refuses to let you pay whenever you both eat together. He doesn't know what to do with the money he gets from the circus and repairing stuff anyway, please let him spoil you with it. As for him, it's obvious he doesn't take care of himself enough. Always eating late or forgetting to eat (he would be so grateful if you brought him a packed lunch...), rushing off to the next job (want to be his second set of hands again?), not getting enough sleep (he has definitely fallen asleep on your shoulder before while listening to you talk). He gets sheepish when you do something to help him, but he's obviously grateful~
♡ Mio rarely gets to take you outside of Darkwick for a date, so he really wants to make it special when he gets to do it. One of the places he took you to was an escape room. You like mysteries and he likes tinkering with things and figuring out how they work. An escape room has both of that. In the room, he did his best to focus on solving the mystery, but you heard him muttering to himself about the lock mechanisms sometimes. (He didn't pick a basic escape room, he made sure to go for one with special effects and props). The both of you managed to escape the room with time to spare and then went for ice cream to celebrate!
Relationship tropes:
head in the clouds (you) x feet on the ground (him)
innocent bean (you) x normally calm but if someone hurts you, it's over for them (him)
When a person wanders around are they lost or is something trying to guide them somewhere? One day when you were daydreaming, it was like you were in a void that was made of sludge. As you trudged through you slowly sunk further into it, until you were further submerged into it. Waking up from your daydream your eyes blurred for a second. From that day on the world felt different somehow, but everything was still the same.
You were in Japan one day while crossing the street, you heard the sound of wheels losing traction. Then nothing for a second, then you woke up on your back looking up, nothing was hurting or out of place. You were sent to the hospital for a check up.
While you were in the waiting room for your results, a man in a suit came up to you and asked you to come with him. Taking a few seconds to observe him you asked “Why”. For a millisecond a shiver went down his spine as you stared at him, something about your eyes frightened him.
He did explain much or enough to convince you to take you somewhere, where you can get better treatment. So he took you to Darkwick.
Darkwick has no clue what you are, they are categorizing you as a ghoul but that explains nothing, it's only a formality. They don't know how you survived getting hit by a truck, your blood was on it but there were no scratches on you.
You were sorted into Ultio by the Weighing of Souls. Later you transferred into Mortkraken after The Clash.

Regeneration: If you lose a limb or vital organ you can regenerate it back. You will need to rest afterwards.
Pseudo Immortality: No conventional methods of death can kill you, this includes guns, cars etc.
Immunity to Mesmer Matches: The Mesmer matches fundamentally don't work on you.
Stigma: Nereophesp, gives you the ability to change objects and concepts to the opposite of what they are.
Special Artifact
Rope Dart: You can make the rope thinner but it keeps the strength of the original rope size.
Specific Nicknames

Taiga: Panda
Tohma: Lovebug
House
Ultio
Before The Clash you were in this house but after Ultio went defunct you moved houses.
Mortkraken
You don't deal with anything on the physical side of anomaly work. You work on the mental side, you make psychological profiles of anomalies.
Romantic Matchup
Tohma Ishibashi
He was in Vagastrom when you two first met. On your first day at Darkwick Academy you got lost and Tohma found you and brought you back to the main building. He told you if you ever got lost again please contact him, as he gave you his number.
Whenever something happened outside, like it was raining, Tohma would be there with a jacket and umbrella for you. You get to keep the jacket and umbrella.
For the longest time he was in denial over his crush on you, until Alan told him that he acted kinder around you. Before he switched to Frosthiem he confessed to you. The short time you two were together before The Clash only Alan knew you two were together. But after The Clash and him moving to Frosthiem your relationship became a secret. Jin found out eventually, he did command Tohma to break up with you, but he didn't.
You're in his phone is Lovebug. He also always archives your messages so they aren't viewable if someone sees his messages.
Most affection happens behind closed doors but that doesn't mean he doesn't give you affection outside. It's just very subtle and quiet.
He's strong so if you want he will pick you up.
The nickname Lovebug came about during his Vagastrom days and it has stuck around.
He will listen to you yap about anything you want, if you mention something you want it may appear in your room the next day.
If he ever has to cut you off during your explaining time, he promises that he will make it up to you next time you're together.
If Frosthiem and Mortkraken can set aside The Clash and everything. He will invite you to a Frosthiem ball and announce you two are together.
Your dates are semi spontaneous because of your hidden relationship and the fact Tohma is always doing something, so finding time for a date is rare and whenever there is time Tohma would invite you to someplace outside of campus and spend it with you. Cafe dates, parks, dinners, and everything else is on the table as long as it's off campus.
Relationship
Yuri Isami
He gets mad at you for distracting HIS assistant whenever you come over to his lab for any reports. Yuri isn't good at showing his more positive feelings that don't sound like a back handed compliment. He doesn't call you degrading nicknames or any type of nickname just your name. He respects what you specialize in and believes your skill set can help solve missions faster, he wouldn't just can't say it out loud.
Jiro Kirisaki
He has a crush on you, you're very smart, being around you makes Jiro feel butterflies in his stomach. The night he confessed to you was like any other in the lab. Until he pulled you into him, he gently brushed your hair to the side and told you he liked you. You nervously looked at your phone, Jiro understood, telling you if anything happened you can come to him.
Romeo Lucci
You don't come to the casino often but when you do, you win big time and he doesn't like that. Romeo wanted to throw you out, but then a random student saw you win big so the random student thought they could. But the student didn't, so you and Romeo have an agreement now. He calls you a stalker because you observed people with a rbf and it freaks him out, he has told you to stop doing that.
Taiga Hoshibami
Taiga is very touchy with you. Whenever you come to the casino and he sees you, you always end up at his side if you're on his lap it's up to you. He does have a crush on you and he's affectionate in his own way. Does he know you're with Tohma, yes? No? Will he back off maybe, if he feels like it.
Ritsu Shinjo
Ritsu says your relationship is that of rivals but you don't see it that way. You two did have somewhat of a “starring contest” when you first met. You often correct Ritsu about his behavior models he made for people, he gets extremely flustered when you do that.
“The continent of Fódlan, said to be protected by a revered goddess, has existed since time immemorial. Three ruling powers now control the land. In the south lies a region long held by a more than one-thousand-year-old dynasty—the Adrestian Empire. Beyond its borders, to the frigid north, is the home of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, ruled by the royal family and its knights. To the east, a league of nobles that heeds no king nor emperor rules what is called the Leicester Alliance. Once consumed by a tempest of war and turmoil, Fódlan and these three mighty powers now exist in relative harmony.”

— BIOGRAPHY
[ Early Life ]
You are born and raised in the Leicester Alliance—a temperate land of sprawling plains, winding rivers, and gorgeous mountains. It is practically idyllic compared to the cold, harsh lands of Faerghus or the often uncomfortably warm humidity of the Adrestian Empire. Though not among the nobility that govern the Alliance, you do hail from a noble family nonetheless. Your family is influential, but not overly wealthy nor thoroughly intertwined in the politics of the land.
Your family’s home is situated near the border between the Alliance and the Adrestian Empire; it allows for you to encounter both people from your homeland and those of a different culture. While you do not hear much of political tensions as a child, the topic is something you start processing more and more as you get older. The Leicester Alliance and the Adrestian Empire have a bit of history, with the Alliance striking out on their own and trying to gain their independence from the Empire (and subsequently having similar issues with Faerghus, though you hear much more regarding the Empire given the proximity of your family’s estate to the border)… and while that event was many years ago and the situation has smoothed over like an old scar, history never truly forgets.
The Crest of Timotheos runs in your bloodline, securing its noble status; as for social standing, your family helps oversee and protect merchant trade routes between the Alliance and the Empire, which generates a decent amount of wealth. Some in your family manage the finances, taxes, and contracts; others are on the road to protect merchants who are traveling to more dangerous places around the continent. The Alliance is known for having quite the robust economy, so many upper class families are involved in trade some way or another.
Compared to those raised in more prominent families within the Alliance, your upbringing is just a little more humble, a little closer to the common folk. Your family’s estate is not extremely lavish, but you still get to enjoy plenty of open land on which to ride horses, large gardens to admire and cultivate, and many opportunities to become learned and well-read. Dancing is also among your more physically active hobbies, and you have the privilege of being able to work under various dance instructors in one-on-one and small group settings. Sometimes your schedule feels overfull, but a small vacation is often within sight.
Thankfully, your upbringing is relatively peaceful as a whole—though darkness seems to loom on the peripherals. As much as people like to focus on their day to day life and pretend that nothing is going on, the political situation of Fódlan as a whole seems to be deteriorating little by little.
By default, given the way noble families very often tend to pass on their wealth and duties from one generation to the next, your parents hold expectations of you taking over the family business once they’re ready to step down and retire. That said, they do not wish to force you into a role you have no interest in, so they encourage you to explore your own passions. If there’s something else you want to do with your life, they would not stop you from pursuing it. But, in the meantime, they’ll make sure you get plenty of knowledge and experience in the event that you do eventually take over the business.
As for yourself, you find it difficult to decide what to do. Overseeing trade routes and merchants isn’t something that interests you. You would love to work with and care for animals, but you would also hate to potentially let your parents down. As much as they insist that you can do what you want with your own life, you can’t help but feel that you might put them in a tough spot. Perhaps a good middle ground would be to help your parents out for now, and then you can eventually transfer the business to new owners (you do have some cousins that may be interested) while you set out to accomplish your own goals. Yeah, that sounds like an okay plan! In any case, you can always adjust your plans if something comes up. You throw yourself into your studies, making sure to learn as much as you can about the landscape of Fódlan and its economics.
The Officers Academy is not something you consider until you’re chatting with one of your friends (a certain Ignatz Victor). He explains that he is planning on enrolling to be a knight-in-training since his older brother is inheriting his family’s merchant business, and you remember that some of your older relatives have taken that route as well. Being a knight in and of itself may not be the most in-line with your interests, but you can see the utility of it, especially if you can hone your budding abilities in magic. Your parents are supportive of your idea, though they definitely worry about your safety! Still, they procure the money to secure your enrollment, and send you off with warm hugs and well wishes.
[ Academy Phase ]
“The Black Eagles, the Blue Lions, and the Golden Deer… All so different.”
Upon your enrollment to Garreg Mach, you were placed in the Golden Deer House since you reside in the Leicester Alliance. Given that you are part of an upper class family, you recognize a few faces and names! Though you have not had the chance to meet any of the children of the Five Great Lords prior, the names are familiar: Riegan, Goneril, Gloucester, Ordelia, Edmund. It’s a bit surprising that so many of them have enrolled in the Academy this year! As for those you are more personally familiar with—Ignatz’s family works with yours, and you’ve met him a few times on the occasions that he accompanied his parents for discussions (he would often find some time to chat with you about your horses and gardens). Raphael’s family once worked with yours, too, before his parents passed away; that said, you never met Raphael since he did not accompany his parents during their work.
“Welcome to the Golden Deer! Oh, your last name… I think I’ve met your parents once or twice. If I remember right, you guys live near the Adrestian border, right? I’m Claude von Riegan—it’s nice to meet you!” Claude’s greeting is friendly and casual, not quite what you would expect from an heir to an important noble house, but you also have no complaints about the head of the House being warm and welcoming… That said, you also can’t help but feel like his gaze is almost calculating, like he’s trying to suss out exactly what type of person you are.
Unlike the Blue Lions or Black Eagles, the social hierarchy within the Golden Deer doesn’t play a huge role in how your peers interact with each other. Yes, there are those who hail from noble families and those that are commoners, and the difference in backgrounds can be very clear at times—however, spurred on by Claude’s lead, most of the Golden Deer treat each other as equals. There are some exceptions of course (considering Lorenz’s insistence on acting in ways that would exemplify his noble status, for example) but for the most part, the Golden Deer feel like a ragtag little family. It helps some of your homesickness; after that feeling sets in, you start viewing the Officers Academy as a home away from home.
The idea of transferring classes doesn’t cross your mind for quite a while. Actually, it never would have crossed your mind if you hadn’t become friends with Mercedes and Annette.
Your friendship with the two Blue Lions girls begins when you keep running into them around the classrooms and courtyard in the early evenings. It turns out all three of you have been staying late to work on spellcasting. The training grounds tend to be frequented by those who prefer to use weapons as their primary mode of offense and defense; for those who lean into spells, much of your practice can be easily done in empty classrooms (especially since the spells you work on tend to be non-offensive and easily contained). The quiet is nice for examining magical theory and practicing incantations. At first, the three of you exchange nods and pleasantries as you cross paths. Not long after, you start discussing what each of you is working on, and then that turns into planned meet-ups to study together. The friendship between the three of you blossoms quickly, and soon enough you’re hanging out with them in your free time.
Through them, you start getting to know about the Blue Lions from the stories they tell. The members of their House seem very close-knit and loyal to each other, though as a whole they carry themselves a little more seriously than the Golden Deer. But Mercedes and Annette are so sweet and friendly, and you feel like your magical abilities have grown leaps and bounds since you started practicing with them; the idea of being able to actually share classes with them is very appealing. Besides, you haven’t had the chance to make bonds with many people from outside the Leicester Alliance—you’ve visited a few villages within the Adrestian Empire on occasion, but you’ve never come close to Faerghus. It would be nice to get to know the land and its culture a bit more, and that would be far easier if you were classmates with people who were raised there. It won’t be difficult to keep in touch with your Golden Deer friends, either, especially since you’re all from the same land.
You request your transfer from the Golden Deer to the Blue Lions about halfway through the year. Claude is quite surprised, but takes the news well.
“So you got sick of us, huh? Hey, don’t make that face—I’m just joking! It sounds like you’ve made some good friends from there, so it makes sense. We’ll miss you, so make sure to come by and visit here and there. Maybe we should make plans to meet up after we graduate?”
It takes a bit of time for you to settle into the Blue Lions. From a lesson standpoint, there isn’t much difference in the actual curriculum—though Byleth is now your primary instructor and his teaching methods are rather different from Hanneman’s. (You haven’t decided if that’s a good thing or not; Byleth is certainly… unique). Meshing with your classmates is the thing that takes time.
Already knowing Mercedes and Annette is helpful, though, especially since they’re willing to help introduce you to everyone. Your new House leader Dimitri certainly lives up to his title of crown prince, welcoming your transfer graciously and expressing his hopes that everyone is kind to you. Considering how sweet you are, he can’t imagine it would be hard for you to get along with most, if not all, of your new classmates! Ingrid, Ashe, and Sylvain are also friendly, though Sylvain’s immediate, heavy-handed flirting makes you keep him at arm’s length for a good while… Dedue is polite but a little distant, so it’s hard to get a solid read on him. Felix is definitely the hardest to approach, given his prickly demeanor and clear distaste for making friends, but it’s not impossible to chat with him on occasion.
Nonetheless, at the start of your transfer you are more eager than nervous to see what the future holds. You are hopeful that the second half of your year is just as pleasant as the first!
And yet, tides can change terribly fast.
As the year continues on, you feel like it’s one mess after the other, each occurrence more dire than the last. The death of Sylvain’s brother, Ashe losing his adoptive brother and Lord Lonato rebelling against the Church, the lingering resentment of those in Duscur, the cracks in Dimitri’s mental state, Edelgard’s declaration of war, the Church of Seiros falling apart with Rhea’s transformation into a dragon and subsequent disappearance… Even then, all of that is only a portion of what happens.
Your time at the Officers Academy ends on a much more somber note than you expect. Still, it wasn’t all bad—you made many good friends, both from your home territory of the Leicester Alliance and abroad. There were moments of lighthearted fun between grief and unease. When it comes time for you to return back home, you make promises to keep in touch with everyone. It’s hard to predict where the war will go, but you’ll be damned if you don’t try and keep your friends and loved ones close.
[ War Phase ]
“What’s the difference between killing someone and calling for their death instead? In both situations, their blood is on your hands, so isn’t it all the same?”
“Like all things, it’s about context and perspective.”
With the war, your parents are busier than ever—and it is certainly not because trade and the economy are flourishing. The stability of the Leicester Alliance is weakening, and some areas are too dangerous for merchants to comfortably travel. Trade is no longer possible with the Adrestian Empire, which means that some goods can no longer be imported. Your family’s business involves overseeing what items are in demand, what there are shortages of, where merchants can and can’t travel… Your parents quickly become overwhelmed with all of these drastic changes, so you step up and start helping them out. In some ways, it’s not too different from chess; moving pieces from one spot to the next, all while needing to be aware of the greater situation so as to protect as many as possible.
However, it has certainly solidified the fact that you most definitely do not want to do this type of work for the rest of your life. Maybe you’ll create an animal sanctuary—there are always animals in need of healing or simply just a quiet place to live, and that will especially be the case during and after the war. Plus, you could see yourself with a florist business on the side… (Ah, enough daydreaming).
Family business aside, your estate is near the Adrestian border. With the primary aggressor in this conflict being so close to where you live, most days feel… tense, dreary. It isn’t inherently unsafe at this point, with most of the conquest happening elsewhere in more critical locations, but things could change in the future. That said, Claude has been very good at stepping up into his new role and tries his best to make sure the Alliance and those who call it come are as stable as possible. He comes by on occasion to check in on you and your folks, making sure that things along the border are safe—he insists that you all relocate to the capital if things are getting too precarious, though.
Helping your parents out with their work keeps you busy most days, but you grasp at any distraction you can in your free time. Tending to your beloved animals is your go-to escape, your furry and feathered companions being a very welcome solace. You find yourself spending more and more time in the gardens, the greenery serving to keep you grounded. Writing letters to your friends helps your mind process things as well, though you don’t always have the time to send them out. Sometimes it’s difficult to know if your letters ever make it to their recipients, especially those who live outside of the Leicester Alliance. News from your old Blue Lions friends is hard to come by, and most of what you learn about what goes on there is relayed to you by Claude.
(Your heart aches terribly when you hear about Dimitri’s imprisonment and the political unrest within the Kingdom. You’re thankful that the Alliance has managed to hold onto some semblance of stability; you can’t imagine what your old friends are going through in Faerghus as they try to navigate a situation where they have enemies both inside and outside their borders, but you desperately wish you could do something to help all the same.)
One day, Claude comes to you with an interesting proposal: “Would you be willing to help us out in Derdriu? Although, honestly, we might not be in Derdriu all that often. I’d hate to drag you closer to danger, but our forces are in dire need of healers.”
Surprisingly, it doesn’t take you long to make a decision. While you are somewhat reluctant to leave your parents without your help, knowing they’re swamped with their own responsibilities, you also prefer to put your efforts into something that feels more in line with your skills and personal goals. All of your old friends and classmates from the Officers Academy are involved in this conflict some way or another—ideally, you want to see an end to this conflict sooner than later, and you want as many of your friends alive and well. That’s enough reason for you to agree to Claude’s request, even if it means jumping from the frying pan and into the fire. If you can help contribute to bringing an end to the conflict currently plagueing Fódlan, then you are going to grasp at that opportunity.
That said, if you thought helping your family was busy, then helping the Leicester Alliance’s forces is downright hectic.
You’re on the road more often than you thought you’d be, traveling between villages that simply require some extra hands to rebuild, to the front lines where a battle is actively being fought so you can patch up your wounded allies. The plus side is that you get to encounter some of your Golden Deer friends from time to time! It’s nice to catch up with them and make sure that they’re doing well (as well as they can be, anyways). You actually end up encountering Raphael pretty often, since he tends to be helping out a lot in war-torn villages and battles. Though he clearly worries about his sister and grandfather, his optimism and enthusiasm is warm and ever-present; your conversations always leave your heart feeling a little lighter. You almost forgot how much you enjoyed talking with him.
Eventually, somehow, you become used to the war… in a way. Your days accumulate into months, months blend into years. There is a sort of routine that you settle into, moving from task to task and stealing moments for yourself in between. You are able to find moments of peace and relaxation amidst the dreariness, which are very necessary to keep you sane and moving forward. Over time, you find yourself reminiscing more often, thinking back on your days at the Officers Academy. When you realize what year it is, you’re flabbergasted. The last time you stepped foot on Monastery grounds was already five years ago. How time flies…
Five years… How come that sounds so significant? Oh! The promise you made to Byleth and your classmates back then—to meet back up at the Monastery after five years, regardless of what happens. Though the Millennium Festival likely won’t be properly celebrated, the day it should be is coming up. Perhaps you can find the time and opportunity to make your way over there. However, it won’t be easy. Garreg Mach Monastery technically fell into the Empire’s control back when the war first started, but the Empire’s presence isn’t as strong there these days with their armies focused elsewhere. At the very least, perhaps you can go to one of the villages near the Monastery to scope the situation out; it wouldn’t be far for you to travel from where you’re currently staying. Maybe you’ll get lucky and encounter one of your old classmates?
Within a few days’ time, you reach a small village that sits not far at all from Garreg Mach. It’s actually the one that you and the others in the Officers Academy would frequent back in the day to do some shopping or eat out at a tavern. The village is much less lively now compared to back then, its residents opting for terse smiles rather than welcoming grins. Without the flow of visitors and merchants, the streets are emptier than you’ve ever seen them. As you stroll down the main street, you hear a commotion break out on the outskirts of the village. Screaming, shouting, the shing! of blades being drawn—your heart leaps into your throat, pounding hard, but you refuse to let fear prevent you from seeing what’s going on and potentially lending a hand.
As you rush to where you hear the disturbance, you catch the sight of a group of bandits terrorizing a couple of the village residents. Unfortunately, it is all too common to encounter bandits stealing anything from basic necessities like food to items such as weapons and valuables. You’re about to create a distraction when their attention is suddenly drawn towards…
You almost don’t believe your eyes when your gaze lands on two figures who have just joined the fray. Is that your missing professor and Dimitri?
— ABILITIES
✦ Class progression
Noble -> Dancer -> Priestess -> Bishop -> Gremory
Your combat classes reflect your strong preference for Faith magic, though your skills in riding and flying are not showcased here as well as they could be. (Valkyrie is one such class, magic wielder on a pegasus—you do sometimes use horses, pegasuses, or wyverns to better transport people if they are injured). Something that not a lot of people can boast about mastering is the Dancer class! Of course, this stems from your fondness of learning various styles of dance. Who knew that your hobby would benefit you in the Officers Academy?
✦ Skills
Strengths:
Faith Magic -> Your best skill. This is a type of magic that encompasses light and healing, which very much aligns with your philosophy of helping and protecting others whenever you can. These abilities come very naturally to you; even if you don’t adhere to any particular religion, you have a certain strength of spirit and willingness to devote yourself to the wellbeing of others, which makes your connection to Faith Magic very strong.
Reason Magic -> You rarely use offensive spells as the idea of harming others doesn’t sit right with you, but you still learn them alongside your primary healing spells. The knowledge is helpful, especially since you can’t ever be sure what kinds of situations you might find yourself in. You want to prioritize healing as much as possible, staying to the edges of the battlefield unless you need to rescue someone, but you also don’t want to be a sitting duck in enemy territory. Besides, in terms of magical theory, learning Reason helps bolster your understanding of Faith.
Riding -> You grew up riding horses, so you have plenty of experience on horseback. You have an innate ability to understand and empathize with animals, which is incredibly important when interacting with animals such as horses (who are often wary and nervous creatures) in the setting of a battlefield or long distance travel.
Flying -> Your budding talent. You actually hadn’t had the chance to interact much with wyverns or pegasuses before coming to Garreg Mach, but you quickly fell in love with them after your first few shifts managing the stables and wyvern grounds. It takes some time to get used to flying in the air with them, with soaring in the sky being a bit daunting, but all in all it isn’t too different from riding horses. You only need a bit of practice before you successfully gain your footing, and you actually find flying to be very useful when scanning a battlefield for any injured comrades.
Weaknesses:
Heavy armor
Brawling
Axes
Given your limited physical strength and your distaste for being in the thick of battle, you simply have no interest in using heavy, unwieldy weapons and armor. It seems far too exhausting and dangerous!
✦ Crest -> Major Crest of Timotheos
According to legend, Crests are a symbol of power that the goddess bestowed to mankind long ago. They are passed down by bloodline, typically through the descendants of the old heroes and saints, who are now nobility. The Crests themselves are divided into “Major Crests” that grant immense power, and “Minor Crests” which are a weaker variant. Not all nobles inherit a Crest and it is not understood when a major or minor Crest is passed down.
You inherited a major Crest of Timotheos, a Crest tied to one of the Four Saints and now considered largely lost to history. After the Rite of Rising failed to revive the Goddess, Timotheos left Garreg Mach and eventually vanished into a hidden forest. The Crest seems to present itself pretty consistently within every generation of your family, so your parents are not at all surprised when you start showing enhanced abilities tied to your bloodline. Notably, Timotheos had a unique affinity with the animal kingdom, being able to summon and converse with birds and other animals, and has been rumored to ride on deer and having a pack of wolves encircle him during battle. Your Crest allows you to befriend animals (and monsters) with ease, and it’s clear that your own affinity for animals definitely echoes that of your ancestor. Connecting with animals has always felt easier than connecting with people, possibly because animals simply expect different things from you. Interacting with them is simpler, more genuine; you often find yourself overwhelmed navigating complex social interactions with other people.
Hapi also bears this Crest, though the two of you are not closely related. You two share a common ancestor in Timotheos, yes, but one of his early descendants set out on their own and settled in Leicester Alliance territory… eventually establishing your family line.
YOUR MATCH IS…
✧ DIMITRI ALEXANDRE BLAIDDYD
✦ REASONING ->
Dimitri fits the type that you tend to gravitate towards romantically. He is kind, chivalrous, protective of his loved ones, and deeply emotional (though he tries to keep this under wraps whenever possible). To add to this, he has his endearing quirks that draw your interest! The awkwardness that sometimes arises when he tries to connect with his peers, his monstrous strength that makes small tasks like sewing difficult, his bashfulness when situations become unexpectedly romantic… You adore the gap between his princely exterior and cuter interior.
Dimitri would do best with someone who is willing to read between the lines and hear what is left unsaid. Full vulnerability and raw honesty terrify him—he keeps his worries buried because he needs to be the capable, dependable leader. He doesn’t believe that he has the right to be weak, lest he bring about more suffering and troubles for his loved ones.
As for you, you seem to do well with those who can provide you some degree of stability. Someone on the mature side who can understand your emotions and help keep you grounded when you’re feeling overwhelmed, someone who is protective and willing to defend you (whether it’s a physical threat or simply a troublesome, annoying situation). You are plenty capable of being independent and self-sufficient, but it can also be nice to have someone capable to rely on when needed, a partner who is willing to stand by you when times are tough.
When Dimitri breaks, brittle with sharp edges, you succeed in piecing him together again. Perhaps you have a bit of a savior complex, a deep-seated desire to make even the “monsters” aware that they can be loved, to be the one to love them when no one else will. No one is inherently undeserving of love, and you have plenty of it to give; your heart just goes out to those who feel like they don’t truly fit in. Still, it works out for the best in this situation. Not everyone is willing or able to support someone like Dimitri when he is struggling with his survivor’s guilt and Edelgard’s actions… but you’re determined to put in the effort to bring him back to the present and keep him grounded. He doesn’t need to make himself suffer.
— FIRST MEETING -> Ever since starting your training at the Officers Academy, you have seen him in passing—he can be hard to miss, with his tall stature and the distinct blue cape that designates him as the head of the Blue Lions. (Plus, he is quite handsome… You wouldn’t consider yourself to be easily smitten by others on appearance alone, but you would be lying if you didn’t find him to be attractive.) At most, you’ve gotten a polite nod and greeting from him, but no proper conversations. Nevertheless, the first time you formally meet Dimitri is when you transfer to his House.
Given the fact that you’re transferring halfway through the year, Byleth has you introduce yourself to everyone on your first day with the Blue Lions. It feels a bit silly, but it makes sense. Dimitri greets you with a warm smile: “Welcome to the Blue Lions. I wasn’t expecting someone to transfer into our class! I hope it isn’t hard for you to settle in and find a place here. If you have any concerns, do not hesitate to let me know.”
As the House leader, Dimitri feels responsible for making sure you feel welcomed. He imagines it might be a bit daunting switching Houses part way through the year, especially since one’s House at the Officers Academy typically denotes their residency. But it appears his worries are unnecessary—you get along with everyone quite easily, and it really doesn’t take that long for you to find your place among your new classmates! Dimitri’s early impressions of you are that you’re intelligent, elegant, friendly, and compassionate. You have a very warm, comforting aura that he can’t help but be drawn towards. Plus, you abide by his wishes to not treat him formally just because he’s royalty, which he deeply appreciates! Dimitri prefers to have casual, friendly bonds with his classmates when possible, but sometimes it seems hard for others to drop the formalities around him. He understands why that is the case, but that doesn’t stop him from being happy whenever someone approaches him as a friend instead.
— BONDING -> It does not take long at all before the two of you are good friends, which should not come as a surprise. Generally speaking, both of you are the type that gets along quite well with others, and you both have interest in connecting with others—to add to that, your personalities are very compatible. Similarities that you two share include being calm and level-headed, courteous and kind. Your lighthearted teasing pairs well with Dimitri’s tendency to get bashfully embarrassed without actually taking any ribbing to heart. When not preoccupied with his own concerns, Dimitri is quite steady, emotionally, which helps keep you grounded in moments where you feel overwhelmed. He has a very pragmatic way of looking at things, as well, which helps you keep things in perspective. Dimitri can see the softer parts of himself in you, and you can see the bolder parts of yourself in him.
One beloved pastime of those attending the Officers Academy is tea time! Of course, this is something you and Dimitri partake in quite often together. Typically, he lets you decide on the tea and snacks—with his ageusia, he doesn’t have much of an opinion either way (this is something you notice after a while, as he seems to avoid making any specific comments on the taste of whatever tea you’ve picked out). Still, indulging in your company and sipping on warm tea is very enjoyable in his eyes. Other things the two of you enjoy doing together is reading, horseback riding, and gardening. He feels that he has much to learn from you when it comes to caring for plants, so he is always very studiously asking questions and dutifully following your advice.
— PINING -> Dimitri’s growing bond with you makes him realize that he really craves comfort and closeness with someone, which is a bit embarrassing to admit to himself. Honestly speaking, he’s a bit of a hopeless romantic deep down. There are many times where he imagines the two of you holding hands and taking a stroll in picturesque gardens, or snuggling in front of a crackling fire with a thick blanket wrapped around both your shoulders. He imagines cupping your face in his hands and bestowing the sweetest of kisses upon your lips… Ah, he really needs to stop getting ahead of himself! But all of that is a lengthy way to show that he is the lovesick, hopelessly pining type when he has feelings for you.
While he holds his tongue when it comes to his feelings, they are (unfortunately, for him) a bit obvious. Dimitri flusters a little more easily, cheeks and ears pink whenever you affectionately tease him or when you get a little too close while you two are busy with assigned tasks. As much as he wants to confess, it doesn’t quite feel like the right time. There are a few times he almost confesses, but for now, he is content being in your presence as your friend.
Things are put on hold after the war starts, with both of you returning to your respective hometowns. Neither of you have much time to dwell on your feelings, as there are more pressing matters at hand. Then, after you meet him again, he’s a shell of who he used to be: haunted, guarded, cold, with a deep-seated desire for revenge. It is clear that he isn’t in the right state of mind to give or accept affection.
But gradually, as your old Blue Lions classmates lead the resistance against the imperial forces, as Dimitri is faced with the possible consequences if he lets revenge consume him completely, as you refuse to leave his side until he stops his self-destructive warpath… gradually, Dimitri softens again. He focuses on the present rather than the past, he lets himself actually see you and his friends. Much of his time is spent apologizing and making sure that everyone has the best chances of coming out of this feud alive, and he starts gravitating towards you again. His pining for you now is softer, almost hesitant; he isn’t sure if you would still be interested in him after everything. He isn’t sure if he knows how to love gently in a way that you deserve. But, oh, he just can’t seem to stay away from you. Let him bask in your warmth and compassion for a while longer, please.
— CONFESSION AND FIRST KISS -> With the way that everything unfolds—your late transfer to the Blue Lions, Dimitri’s deteriorating mental state, the war—Dimitri does not confess to you until the war is nearly over. He is back in his right mind, with a clarity he hasn’t had in a long time. But there are still battles that must be waged; the idea of potentially losing any of his friends is deeply unsettling, but he knows he would be especially devastated if he lost you. But such is his dilemma: does he wait until everything is done before confessing to you, so a potentially happy moment between you two isn’t colored by the threat of danger? Or does he go ahead and confess in case he doesn’t have the chance afterwards?
It’s a question he agonizes over for a while. Too much has slipped through his fingers too early, so he wants to try and keep hold of all the good left in his life. But he doesn’t want to potentially distract you, or (in a manner that is a bit superstitious) to bring some misfortune upon you two. Eventually, he comes to a very decisive conclusion: it is better to confess now before he loses the chance.
Preparations for the final battle against Edelgard in Enbarr take a fair amount of time. This will be the decisive battle, the potential end to imperial conquest. Days are spent organizing supplies, training, ensuring the journey to Enbarr is as smooth as possible. Evenings are for rest and healing, for quiet moments between allies. Dimitri’s army is currently occupying a fort you’ve all claimed, making use of the building to stay protected from the elements and potential sieges.
One particular evening, you’re by yourself in a small parlor. There’s an open book on your lap, though your eyes keep leaving the inked words and drifting to gaze out of the window beside you. A lantern sits on a small table, casting a flickering glow over you and this corner of the room; your cup of tea has long gone cold. As nice as it is to have a moment of respite, your thoughts can’t help but latch onto the upcoming battle.
A soft knock sounds on the door, and it opens after a beat. Dimitri pokes his head in, and his expression softens when he sees you sitting there.
“Are you alright?” His question is soft, befitting of the subdued atmosphere within the room. He softly closes the door behind him, creating a little space just for the two of you.
You give him a tired but agreeable smile. “I’m okay, just a bit tired.”
Dimitri nods with a short hum, glad that you aren’t hiding yourself away out of distress. He steps up beside you, taking the only other seat in the small parlor. In comfortable silence, he takes in the scenery for a while, the room’s furnishings half-bathed in the shadow of night. Perhaps now would be a good time…
Gently, he slides his hand over and covers yours; his palm is warm against the back of your hand. When you look up at him, his gaze is on you, intense with an undeniable affection.
“There is something I have been meaning to tell you for a long time, and I feel I should get this off of my chest before we set out in the next couple days. Time and again, you have been by my side, even when I didn’t deserve it. My heart has been fond of you ever since our days in the Academy… and those feelings have only grown stronger now that we have reunited, and after everything we have been through. You are dearly important to me, and I have a hard time fathoming not being by your side. I’ll put it simply: I love you.”
The words surprise you, and yet you have to admit that they’re ones that you’ve been wanting to hear deep down. You accept his confession and bashfully return it with one of your own, revealing the feelings you have had for him all this time. The almost-shy smile that appears on Dimitri’s face is enough to melt you further, your heart squeezing with happiness in your chest. Dimitri clasps his hand around yours, pulling you towards him as he leans in; his lips meet yours, a chaste kiss that deepens after a moment. It’s a kiss full of yet-to-be spoken promises, a kiss of apologies and gratitude for all the days, good and bad, that you have spent by each other’s sides.
You each now have one more thing to fight for and protect in the coming days. For better or worse, the final battle of Enbarr will be a defining moment for your future.
✦ ADDITIONAL HEADCANONS ->
When it comes to relocating to Faerghus after the war… Ah, poor you! Much of this nation is cold and wintery, and you find yourself missing warmer weather quite often. Still, if it’s to be close to your partner and friends, you are willing to tough it out. At least the hearth is warm, and you have ample access to cozy blankets.
Dimitri has a huge soft spot for you, and can never tell you no. Thankfully, you’re not the type to make unreasonable requests… though his home is filled with far more plants and animals than he ever expected. But they make you happy and they’re all well taken care of, so Dimitri would let you have as many as you want.
Oh, the two of you absolutely dote on each other. Acts of service seems to be the go-to love language for you two. You help him get ready for his day, making sure he has all he needs whenever he is busy with political meetings and re-establishing the foundation of Fódlan—likewise, Dimitri makes sure that you’re able to unwind and relax in the evenings, practically waiting on you hand and foot. You are his beloved, and he insists that he takes care of you. To those that happen to oversee, it’s pure devotion.
✦ SHIP TROPES ->
-> “You shouldn’t love me” x “I want to love you”
-> Physical protector x Emotional support
-> Elegant, noble couple
✦ ENDING CARD ->
Not long after celebrating the end of the war, you get to celebrate your engagement to Dimitri. The news of your engagement creates an excited buzz amongst your peers, sentiments ranging from “it’s about time they got engaged” to “wait, since when were they together?” Regardless, it is something that is welcomed by both your friends and the people of Fódlan. The newly-crowned king of Faerghus and his betrothed are as devoted to improving life for the people as much as they are devoted to each other. Positions of leadership can be a burden, but the bond between you and Dimitri keeps each of you feeling light and hopeful.
✦ OTHER MATCH CONSIDERATIONS -> Ferdinand von Aegir, Yuri Leclerc.
✧ RELATIONSHIP WITH…
— FERDINAND VON AEGIR -> The first time you meet Ferdinand is when you both end up on stable duty at the same time. He really catches your eye! As you’re walking up to the stables, you spot the regal young man speaking softly to the horses while carefully grooming their manes, and he offers you the brightest smile when he notices you at the entrance. It does not take long at all for a friendship to develop between you two! Ferdinand is courteous, kind, and a solid conversationalist—he is very easy to talk to (even if he can be a little vain and oblivious at times), and your personalities pair together quite well. Even outside of assigned stable duty, the two of you often care for the animals in the stables together in your free time.
You bond over your love of animals, horseback riding, and tea. More often than not, the time you two spend together consists of horseback rides or quiet tea parties. Ferdinand often remarks that it is a shame that you’re not in the Black Eagles House, but he also sees that you fit quite well within the Golden Deer (and later the Blue Lions). As proud as he can be of his noble status and the fact that he is part of the Black Eagles, he can admit that the dynamics within the House can be a little… tense and difficult to navigate. While in your Officers Academy days, he insists that you two find time to meet up once you graduate! He would love to see where you grew up, and he would love to host you at House Aegir. (But then, of course, everything with the war prevents that from coming to fruition).
In regards to the war, Ferdinand chooses not to side with the Empire. Some time after the forces from Faerghus start coming together after taking back Garreg Mach, Ferdinand shows up offering his assistance. Edelgard had stripped House Aegir of everything following Ludwig's house arrest, and he doesn’t fully agree with her methods—he feels that he must do something, so he joins your group. Ferdinand is absolutely delighted to see that you are alive and well, though, and is happy that he can once again spend time with you! He’s a bit more mellow than he used to be while he was a knight-in-training, a little more serious, but the core of him is still the same.
Over time, Ferdinand becomes a very dear friend to you. Honestly, for a long time, he can’t quite figure out if he has a crush on you or not. Perhaps if he was able to spend a bit more time with you without your affections being captured by another, his feelings would have bloomed in full.
— YURI LECLERC -> You encounter Yuri when Byleth and a few of your classmates end up getting involved with everything that is happening with Aelfric and the Abyss. While he appears charming at first glance, it’s obvious that his guardedness and sharp way of speaking is meant to keep others at arm’s length. As curious as you are about him, you hesitate to try bonding with him too much too quickly—especially when it isn’t clear where exactly his loyalties lie at first. This hesitance is quick to melt away once the matter is settled and Yuri plus his little group are allowed the opportunity to be students if they wish.
Because he still tends to spend a decent amount of time in the Abyss making sure the people there are well taken care of, you don’t see him too often. Still, whenever he’s around, you make it a point to greet him and see how he’s doing. However, it does take a while for a proper bond to develop; he is cautious to a fault, and you sometimes have a hard time pinning down how genuine he’s being. Yuri is pretty sure your kindness and empathy are sincere, but he feels like he can’t be too sure… you’re almost too nice. But, over time, you manage to get him to soften up to you. You genuinely care about the well-being of the Abyssians, and you have a humble heart despite your upper class background.
(Oh, Yuri falls hard once he’s comfortable, and it happens towards the end of your time at the Officers Academy. However, he keeps his crush under wraps. “Perhaps I’ll tell her later on,” is what he always tells himself, knowing you’d be returning home after leaving the Monastery. But then, once you all meet again years later to try and end the Empire’s conquest of Fódlan, he is quick to realize that you and a certain fallen prince have feelings for each other.)
Yuri has no strong opinions on your eventual relationship with Dimitri. He’s a fine option, and you are definitely good for him. The Savage Mockingbird knows well that not everything will work out in his favor, so he doesn’t dwell on the sting of unrequited love for very long. He still has to take care of his people, after all, so he’ll remain plenty occupied.
— INGRID BRANDL GALATEA -> Ingrid becomes one of your closest friends within the Blue Lions, and is actually one of your closest friends from the Officers Academy as a whole. Your friendship develops as you end up spending a lot of time with her while caring for the horses, pegasuses, and wyverns; though you’re both busy with your respective tasks, chit-chat seems to naturally happen. Ingrid finds herself deeply appreciating your presence, in part because she hasn’t had the chance to make very many female friends! She gets along well with both Mercedes and Annette, but those two have been close friends since before coming to Garreg Mach, so Ingrid didn’t want to intrude between them too much. On the other hand, you’re eager to make new friends since you came to Garreg Mach without any prior friendships besides Ignatz, and now you’re properly meeting most of the Blue Lions for the first time halfway through the year.
Ingrid admires your compassion and patience, while you admire her strength of spirit and humility. Both of you are very down-to-earth, so it’s easy to see eye to eye on things. Since you share a few interests, you two always have something to do together. Ingrid loves animals, and she is honored if she ever gets the chance to meet your pets back home! Horseback riding is a common pastime for you both, and it’s always nice to get out in nature for a while. The two of you also often recommend books to each other, keeping your reading lists full.
Despite the distance between your hometowns, Ingrid keeps in touch with you the best during the war. Not that you two are constantly in touch, of course, but you hear from her fairly regularly. It makes you miss her terribly for those five years; you know that her family isn’t in a good financial position, but Ingrid isn’t the type to talk about it. You hope that she is managing to stay safe and sound during the war. When you two meet again later at Garreg Mach, the two of you share a tight hug and are nearly inseparable!
Ingrid is very happy for both you and Dimitri when the two of you start a relationship—she cares a lot about both of you, and she thinks you’re perfect for the future king of Faerghus!
— FELIX HUGO FRALDARIUS -> Felix is sharp edges and harsh words personified. He is not here to make friends; there are things he must do, skills he has to hone, and anything else is just a waste of his time. And yet, you meet him with a patience and understanding that few do. While Felix tends to be a little gentler with those he considers sweet and endearing, getting to know him is still not the easiest task. When you first join the Blue Lions, you do not go out of your way to interact with him as you don’t want to create too many waves. You keep things polite, but you both keep each other at arm’s length for a while. Nevertheless, you don’t immediately discredit his guarded attitude that tends to keep most people away. Surely there is a reason for it!
The way he speaks about Dimitri catches your attention, though. His childhood friendship with Dimitri, Ingrid, and Sylvain is something that you learn about fairly early on (thanks to discussions with Ingrid and Dimitri), but you aren’t privy to all the nuances of their individual dynamics. What’s the reason for his hostility? Why does he act like the crown prince of Faerghus is just a ticking time bomb? But as time goes on, you start seeing what he’s wary about when it comes to Dimitri, with the crown prince being plagued by survivor’s guilt and betrayal that has slowly been driving him to madness. Clearly, Felix had seen something that took everyone else that much longer to realize—perhaps it’s due to his long history with Dimitri, or maybe he’s just perceptive and intuitive enough to pick up the subtle signs.
It takes some time for you to truly bond with Felix, but he becomes a protective older brother figure in your eyes! This is especially the case anywhere near a battlefield, as he knows you’re not a fighter—but in less dire situations, his protectiveness shows in the way that he is quick to step in if anyone seems even slightly rude to you, and he helps with any task that is a little too physically strenuous (such as toting heavy crates of supplies or weapons into the Monastery or the royal castle in Fhirdiad). For Felix, you are a place of solace. You’re sweet and understanding, and as much as he resists being seen as vulnerable, he can’t help but let his guard down around you. You’re his go-to person if he has any of his own troubles.
Once you get together with Dimtri, Felix insists that you let him know if he isn’t treating you well (and says he’ll keep a close eye on you two anyways).
— SYLVAIN JOSE GAUTIER -> Oh, Sylvain. You have a distaste for incessant, bothersome flirting—and this particular redhead tends to flirt with any woman who catches his eye. However, Annette and Mercedes are good at blocking his advances from you; they feel it’s their responsibility to help you, their dear friend, avoid the hassle of dealing with the bad habits of one of your new classmates. (Sylvain is not saved from a few side-eyes from you when he pesters you, though). However, it actually isn’t long before he starts treating you like a normal classmate. You never took his bait, and you don’t seem at all interested in being with him romantically; he figures he doesn’t need to prove a point around you, especially after he sees that you are probably one of the most genuine, compassionate people that he has met in a while.
Something you appreciate about Sylvain is that he’s actually much more thoughtful and intelligent than he initially appears. Once the two of you are friends, he is happy to lend an ear and offer advice if you need it. He is the type of person who doesn’t worry much about things, so his perspective can be very grounding and helpful if you happen to be worrying about something a little more nebulous and unsure. Sylvain isn’t as overtly protective over you as Felix is, but he still tends to keep an eye on you whenever you’re out and about in town together or on the battlefield; he just doesn’t hover, allowing you to handle things yourself and only stepping in when necessary.
When you and Dimitri get together, Sylvain jokingly laments that he “missed his chance” to win your heart—but really, he is truly happy for you both! He thinks that you’re both good fits for each other, especially after Dimitri starts processing his trauma and pulls himself back together during the war.
— DEDUE MOLINARO -> Dedue is very protective of his liege, and after everything that has happened he wants the best for Dimitri. He may have mixed feelings about Faerghus as a whole, he believes that Dimitri deserves some good in his life. Thankfully, he is a reasonable judge of character. You are very true to yourself, especially with your desire to welcome and support as many people as you can—Dedue hopes this kindness of yours can somehow, someway, help Dimitri with everything that weighs on the crown prince’s shoulders. Dedue often tries to decline kindness that you extend to him, as he worries that others might look down on you for associating with him. You can be a bit stubborn, though! You see no reason why he should not be welcomed and included in things just as everyone else.
Dedue is someone that is very reciprocal when it comes to goodwill or favors. So, any time you are kind to him, you can expect him to try and repay that. Dedue often extends his assistance to you in case you ever need it. It doesn’t matter if it’s something big or small—need some help moving heavy equipment? He can handle it. Looking for someone? He should be able to track them down shortly. Want some extra hands in the kitchen when you (unfortunately) end up on cooking duty for everyone? He’s quite adept at that! This continues after you and Dimitri get together; he may be the prince’s retainer, but he should take care of Dimitri’s partner as well.
Over time, Dedue ends up viewing you as a younger sister. He tries not to dwell on them too much, but he misses his mother and sister a lot. The two of you often tend to the greenhouse and gardens together, and he enjoys cooking for you if you’ll let him.
A/N: Thank you so much for doing an exchange with me, this was a lot of fun to make! If you want anything changed or added, let me know and we can figure something out :)

You surprising fit into this dorm in a natural way, even at first glance it seems like most of the dorm are for the manipulative or business-minded people, but if you happen to look a little deeper there’s a reason why you fit here: you’re love for the sea, the habit of collecting seashells… it seems like you already fit in right here! Your dorm mates would be attached to you instantly!
Sibling
Silver Vanrouge
You and Silver work well as siblings because the bruh of your temperaments are sooo similar! you both are gentle, quiet, and thoughtful people who prefer calm environments over chaotic ones… Your shy nature and tendency to keep yourself mirrors Silver’s soft-spoken and polite demeanor. The relationship with you two revolves around being each others comfort person whenever the both of you are feeling down. Silver is someone who would make sure you’re safe, like walking you home and listening to your struggles, which he listens with all ears and an open heart. You both would have many quiet but peaceful conversations and feel completely safe enough to tell each other your secrets that many people would not know about the two of you.
Best Friend
Deuce Spade
You and Deuce would make really good friends! Especially at the beginning of you arriving to Twisted Wonderland. He’s very loyal, and tries his hardest to be a good person, which is something you may admire from the beginning! While you may feel shy around others at first, being around Deuce makes your awkwardness fade away and would make you feel more comfortable opening up to him sooner. Your relationship with each other later on is all about encouraging the both of you, Deuce would make sure that you believe in yourself and you would support his determination to grow and improve. Your kindness and emotional empathy helps keep him grounded during his hard times. You both always say study and tutor together, talk about your small achievements, etc. Deuce would fiercely protect you if anyone dared to treat you badly, he wants to make sure that you’re safe and you know that you’re valued.
Rival
Vil Schoenheit
You and Vil have very different personalities (in my opinion at least). Vil is someone who’s more confident in himself while you tend to doubt yourself and struggle with insecurities. Vil may find your lack of self-confidence a bit frustrating, especially because he’s someone who sees so much potential in you and your talents that you may not be fully embracing. I feel like you would be quite intimidated by Vil’s strong presence and high expectations. However your rivalry with Vil would push you to grow stronger, and since Vil is someone who strongly believes in refinement and improvement, he would challenge you to take yourself more seriously and stop hiding your abilities. And surprisingly, your sincerity and emotional sensitivity might remind him that vulnerability isn’t weakness. Your rivalry with Vil would be less about hostility and more about personal growth, Vil is pushing you to become stronger while you subtly soften his rigid perfectionism.
Relationships (Platonic)
Idia Shroud
You and Idia would have a surprisingly comfortable relationship built on shared introvision. The both of you prefer quiet environments and can feel overwhelmed by large groups of people, so the bruh of you would naturally gravitate towards each other spending time together in calmer settings. Idia might initially communicate with you more easily through messages or shared hobbies rather than face to face conversation, which actually suits your shy personality. The both of you would bond over anime, fantasy stories, or quieting batheing in each others presence without the pressure of having to talk constantly. Your kindness and non-judgmental nature would make Idia feel accepted, and since Idia understands what social anxiety is he would be very patient with you during your awkward moments.
Jade Leech
Jades calm and observant personality pairs well with your gentle demeanor in a platonic dynamic. Jade is very perspective and he would quickly notice your sincerity and emotional sensitivity. While Jade may be mysterious and slightly intimidating to others, he tends to respect people who are genuine and thoughtful, aka someone like you. Your politeness and kindness would immediately earn his quiet approval. Your interactions with Jade involve calm conversations, perhaps about the nature and the ocean, something of your interests. Jade also may lightly tease you just to observe your reactions, but never in a way that’ll leave you with hurt feelings. In return, you would most likely appreciate his composed and reliable presence, making your friendship with Jade feel oddly peaceful despite Jade’s enigmatic nature.
Floyd Leech
Floyd’s chaotic personality creates a fun contrast with your quiet and shy nature. While you may initially find him overwhelming, Floyd tends to enjoy people who react genuinely to him rather than trying to control him. Your honest emotions and kindness would intrigue him, and he might find your reactions amusing in a harmless way. Over time, Floyd is someone who may become oddly protective of you, seeing you as someone fragile but interesting. Your friendship with Floyd would be unpredictable, sometimes chaotic when Floyd drags you into random situations, but other times surprisingly gentle when he decides to sit quietly with you. You might also be one of the few people who can calm Floyd simply by being soft-spoken and sincere.
Love Match and Headcanons
Azul Ashengrotto
☆彡 Azul secretly melts from your affection… Your love language is physical touch, and Azul is not used to that level of gentle affection. The first time you casually hug him from behind or runs your fingers through his hair, he completely freezes. His brain short-circuits for a moment because he’s so used to transactional relationships that unconditional affection confuses him. Eventually, though, he starts quietly craving those moments.
☆彡 He gives you constant reassurance since you appreciates words of affirmation and struggle with insecurity, Azul naturally fills that role. He’s incredibly articulate, so he often compliments you in very sincere but eloquent ways. Instead of simple praise, he’ll say things like how your kindness improves the atmosphere around you or how your singing has remarkable emotional depth. His compliments feel genuine because he chooses his words carefully.
☆彡 You are one of the few people who sees his vulnerable side. Azul hides his past insecurities behind confidence and business savvy, but your empathetic nature makes it easier for him to open up. When he does talk about his fears or old insecurities you listen quietly and comfort him without judging. Those moments make him trust you more than almost anyone else.
☆彡 You visits the Mostro Lounge often… you frequently stops by the lounge to see him, even if you’re just quietly sitting at a table writing in l your diary while Azul works. Azul pretends he’s too busy to notice, but he absolutely notices every time you come in.
☆彡 He gets extremely protective of you because you can be trusting or a bit gullible, Azul becomes very protective in subtle ways. If someone tries to manipulate or take advantage of your kindness, he immediately intervenes. No one messes with someone Azul cares about, especially someone who is his equal and soulmate.
☆彡He loves hearing you sing when Azul first hears you singing opera or jazz, he’s stunned. He’s very musically inclined and appreciates artistry, so he naturally becomes one of your biggest supporters. Sometimes he even asks you to sing privately in the lounge for him after closing hours.
☆彡 You play with his hair constantly since you’re somebody who likes physical affection, you often absentmindedly play with his hair when the both of you are sitting together. Azul pretends to complain at first, but he secretly finds it extremely relaxing.
☆彡 He buys you plushies, since you are someone who likes plushies Azul absolutely notices that. Occasionally he’ll “coincidentally” obtain a cute plush and give it to you claiming it’s just leftover merchandise or something trivial, but he clearly chose it with you in mind.
☆彡 Quiet ocean dates are quite often because Azul noticed you love the ocean, Azul sometimes takes you somewhere quiet near the water at night. It’s one of the few places where he feels calm, and seeing you fascinated by the sea makes those moments very peaceful for him.
☆彡 You help him soften emotionally… Azul tends to approach relationships strategically, but you remind him that not everything needs to be calculated. Your sincerity slowly helps him trust people more.
☆彡He encourages you to be confident… Azul sees potential in you that you may not always recognize in yourself. Whether it’s your singing, creativity, or kindness, he gently pushes you to believe in your abilities, because he truly believes that you should not be insecure in yourself, not around him.
☆彡 Your relationship with each other is surprisingly gentle. Even though Azul can be manipulative in business, his relationship with you is one of the few parts of his life that isn’t transactional. With you, he chooses sincerity.
(preface, some of this might be a bit inconsistent with the original… but even my favorite published author doesn’t know what he wrote in half of his books so i decided that would just have to be okay, plus im sure you wont mind)
Emerald-
Malleus Draconia found you to be very sweet from the moment he first met you. When you visited Diasomnia, trailing closely beyond Silver and taking in the intricate decor with a look of awe, he immediately hoped you wouldn’t be too scared to talk to him. When he approached you and Silver, Malleus was grateful that you didn’t seem terrified. Both of you being introverts, you didn’t talk much at first. After running into each other a bit, you started to join Malleus on his nightly strolls around the campus. During these walks, you two ended up talking much more about any and everything. Malleus would tell you (embarrassing) stories about young Silver, or tales and legends from his home, Briar Valley. You would listen to him and tell stories of your own from growing up in the Queendom of Roses. Being a dragon, Malleus would sometimes give you small gifts. They were usually practical but very well crafted and beautiful items. For example, after you two had been friends for a while, he gave you a comb with an intricate design of roses and thorns carved out of the jade it was made from. From time to time, Malleus enjoys playing chess with you. He usually loses if you don’t let him win and he admires how good you are at the game. Malleus looks after you like you’re his younger sister. If any boys come looking to flirt with you, he scares them away with ease. He cheats for you during Beanfest by deflecting beans with magic or using wind spells to blow them off course. You, of course, don’t really realize any of this.
Lilia Vanrouge is another member of Diasomnia who felt a familial bond towards you. He’d remind you of events or tests and assignments, check on you when you fell ill and try to make you food to feel better. (under no circumstance does Silver let you eat Lilia’s cooking) Lilia would lightly reprimand you if you found yourself in any sort of trouble (like when you disappeared for days and came back with an old decrepit Vil and many other housewardens. More on that later.) A bit after you and Silver start dating, it comes to light that Lilia is his father. It answers a lot of suspicions you had and after that reveal, Lilia deeply enjoys telling you about his travels over tea. Sometimes he’ll even give you a story or two about his experience in the Fae v. Human war. Sometimes he even brings you books long out of production telling classic stories of romance and magic.
Sebek Zigvolt was VERY skeptical of you at first. Some girl he had barely heard of was acting incredibly friendly with the heir he was sworn to protect AND the boy he grew up with? Absolutely unacceptable in his eyes. This was until he started seeing you outside of that context. When he joined the equestrian club with you and Silver, he started to feel a little less like you were a threat of some sort. It took Sebek a pretty long time, but he eventually warmed up to you and lowered his guard. He no longer shouted when you got too close to Malleus, or scolded when you spoke casually with Silver or Lillia. Sebek started to laugh with you and Silver, he was even a bit eager to meet with you and Silver. Sebek didn’t really hang out with you much one on one and when he found out you and Silver were together, he made sure to not be alone with you, seeing it as improper and a violation of etiquette. Sebek does his best to be knightly and cordial, but when it’s the three of you cleaning the stables or messing around in the library, your trio is all laughs and jokes mixed in with your duties.
Topaz- You’ve always known what your future job would be. Working for the Queendom’s parliament was a cushy future, with minimal work. Not many new laws were implemented and many of the older rules had already been overruled or stricken down by your predecessors. For your fourth year at NRC you chose to take an apprenticeship with diplomats. The work was easy to understand and came very naturally to you. Peacemaking was a piece of cake for you. You got to visit many different lands while working with the diplomat from the Queendom of Roses but their main focus was trade discussion with the Kingdom of Heroes and as such, most of your time was spent there. It made you think, if you could get elected as a representative diplomat for the Queendom of Roses, you could focus specifically on discussions with Briar Valley. It had been a long time since someone had taken up that role, but with your direct connections to the heir and his guards, you weren’t afraid in the slightest.
When you finished your apprenticeship, you had no issues getting elected as a diplomat. You were already known around the Queendom as a kind peacemaker. From there, you spent most of your time in Briar Valley. As such, your relationship with Silver was able to thrive. Between your meetings and Silver’s duties, you two were able to go on a fair many dates. One of which was especially memorable. It was a perfect spring day with blossoming flowers and a perfect breeze. Silver lead you to a clearing in the woods near the cottage he was raised in. A fresh, sparkling stream winded near the clearing, berry bushes and gorgeous flowers surrounded the area. In the center, a picture perfect picnic was set up with all of your favorite foods. Fresh picked berries, delicious chocolates, fruit juice, tea, veggie sandwiches, and a beautiful cake. The small cake sat in the center of it all. The two of you talked and ate for a long while. Before you guys decided to cut your cake, Silver asked for a dance. It wasn’t unusual, the two of you danced often to one song in particular. As you stood up, the birds around you two started chirping, and magic hung in the air. Your song started playing and as soft as a lullaby, "Once Upon A Dream” floated on the gentle breeze. The two of you danced and the rest of the world around you faded away in the light of the approaching sunset. Silver guided you in a perfectly romantic waltz until the song came to a close. Silver turned around to pick up the cake, turning his back to you for just a moment. When he turned around, with the cake in his hands, a beautiful ring straight from your dreams glistened in the center of the cake. As Silver approached you, he steadily dropped to one knee. Golden sunlight cast a dreamy glow on the scene as Silver asked you the question you had only ever dreamed of him asking. When you enthusiastically agreed, he gracefully stood and slipped the ring onto your ring finger. A kiss from your now fiance pushed you two into your dance yet again, more love and passion in the dance than there had ever been before. (When you get back to Black Dragon Castle and announce the news, Lilia INSISTS you hold a party for the whole kingdom to celebrate you and Silver and Malleus LOVES this idea)
Onyx-
Book 6 -
One day, while you and your clubmates were working with your horses in the stables. You had just finished taking care of your horse friend's mane when a ridiculously loud BOOM sounded through the campus. From there a whirlwind of events unfolded before your eyes. Robot soldiers storming the campus from the broken barrier protecting the school, your good friend Riddle permitting the use of offensive magic before being stolen away by the strange blue robots. After you started to process the events, Silver and Sebek jogged over to you to check on you. Shortly after, they suggested you get back to your dorm while they disappeared to check on Malleus.
Later that night, after you had gone back to your dorm and found out Vil had been taken, along with Grim, Jamil and a few other dormleaders, you decided you wanted to know where your friend had been taken. While sneaking out of the dorm, you ran into none other than Rook, Epel, and Yuu who seemed to have the same idea as you. The four of you fled campus together to find your friends.
Your quartet eventually reached the Isle of Woe, got into Styx after encountering Idia, and from there even MORE chaos ensued. Ortho getting corrupted, Grim disappearing, Cerberus system shutting down. Your group was able to find Vil and get the instructions to get into Tartarus and find those who were missing.
After fighting many phantoms, each more difficult to defeat than the last and finally making it to the bottom of Tartarus, your group found an Overblotted Idia and a massive phantom who claimed to be Ortho. With the giant phantom, you found Grim hanging on. Yuu looked just as worried as you felt. Despite your shared worry, when the other NRC students arrived, you had to fight Idia and ‘Ortho’. As the fight came to a close, ‘Ortho’ started falling into the Depths of Tartarus along with Idia and Grim. Without a second thought, you jumped to save Grim, quickly realizing Vil was right behind you to grab Idia. After you grabbed Grim, you started to feel exhausted, your eyes fluttering closed.
What you didn’t know was that as you fell, Epel’s unique magic and a stream of dark magic from the depths of Tartarus both struck you at the same time. You had fallen into a deep slumber. Vil somehow managed to get you holding Grim, Idia, and himself to safety and everyone made it back to NRC.
When the group reached NRC and reunited with Malleus and Lilia, the pair were deeply worried about you. After returning Vil to his regular age, their attention was immediately on you. They tried almost everything to wake you from Vargas’s whistle, to Silver’s alarm clocks, but nothing helped. After trying desperately for a few hours, the sun started to set. Ace, who had come to see Yuu and Grim again, made a joke in passing about you needing true love’s kiss. When he said that Lilia disappeared, and came back shortly with Silver in tow. Silver was quickly made aware of your situation and was a bit flustered to think he not only had to kiss you, but that he could be your true love. After a brief hesitation and asking for some privacy, Silver leaned in as the last rays of the evening sun glowed against your skin and kissed you. Only a peck out of nervousness, and he held his breath, waiting for you to wake. As your eyes fluttered open he let out a sigh of deep relief and wrapped his arms around you, overjoyed to see you safe and sound again.
Book 7 -
News of Lilia getting close to his end hit like a truck for everyone, including you. Silver took the news the worst. You did your best to comfort him any time you could, but such abrupt news was dropped, it was hard for you to process too. On the night of Lilia’s party, you had gone after Silver when he rushed out to find Malleus. The two of you approached the Statues of the Seven and felt the icy chill of the snow starting to gather. Near the Thorn Fairy’s statue, you found Malleus. After Silver asked him to come to the party, he and Malleus started talking, Malleus made the impromptu blizzard disappear. On pure instinct, you grabbed Silver’s hand and moments later he started sniffling. Then all at once, he broke down. As Silver babbled through his tears, you couldn’t help but share his pain and start to cry on his behalf. Malleus momentarily shared how he felt his magic was useless when so many of his subjects were still riddled with sorrow. After a brief moment of thought, he seemed to have a new idea, though something about the way he reacted made you feel something was off, before you could ask any further questions, you and Silver were pulled into a teleportation spell by Malleus. You found yourselves back in Diasomnia, but Malleus was definitely acting off as he announced a gift for everyone present. Ortho alerted that blot was accumulating, everyone tried to stop Malleus, but even the students and staff were no match for one of the most powerful mages in the world.
“Spinning wheel of Fate, spin the threads of Calamity.
I, Lord of Malevolence, offer this blessing- Fae Maleficence"
As thorny vines appeared and grew all around the main hall of Diasomnia, all the partygoers started to fall asleep, having been under a similar spell not long ago, it took you a bit longer to succumb. While settling to the floor, you alone caught a glimpse of an overblotted Malleus.
The next thing you saw was your own room in your own home. As you started to wake, you vaguely recalled the school semester ending a few days ago. The few small boxes that had yet to be unpacked confirmed that. You were back at home in Briar Valley… only something about Briar Valley being home didn’t feel right. You decided to brush it off and get ready for the day. You got out of bed and rang for your handmaid who arrived to your room a few moments later. You greeted each other and made pleasant conversation as she brushed and styled your hair. As she finished, you looked around your vanity for something you felt was missing. There was a comb that should have been there and for a moment it felt like the room was spinning. You decided to leave the thought of your missing comb alone for now. You dressed and ate your breakfast while going over what you had to do for the day. Your schedule was clear save for a dinner at Black Dragon Castle. You didn’t live near Black Dragon Castle. The room again started spinning and feeling distorted. You decided to visit your garden for a bit to keep your mind off these odd happenings. The time you spent tending to your plants and watching the birds, bunnies, and bees made you feel much more at ease. You had almost forgotten about the strange events from that morning when you were informed of the arrival of a guest. No one was expected to visit today, in fact it was almost time for you to change into eveningwear and head to dinner with Silver, Malleus, Sebek and Lilia. Something foggy came to mind when you thought of Lilia but you didn’t want to dig into any more strange feelings today.
When you saw who the guest was, you were even more confused. Silver should have been at the castle. When you brought it up, he almost seemed shocked before telling you there was a change of plans. Silver would be joining you for dinner alone that evening. You were a bit confused but decided to go along with it, afterall it had been a few days since you last saw your boyfriend…hadn’t it? You pushed the thought away as you sat down for dinner. During the dinner all of the inconsistencies of the day caught up to you as you recounted your day to Silver. Something about the feeling of not living near your dearest friends made you rather upset and before you knew it, Silver had shouted for you to get up. At your feet and rapidly expanding was a darkness unlike any you had seen. You quickly jumped up and ran to get closer to Silver. When you got closer, he urged you to think more about why things seemed so off and after a moment, everything came back to you. You lived in the Queendom of Roses, school was still in session, Malleus had given you the comb you couldn’t find and was the last person you saw before you awoke in this dream. At this point the dream started to shatter and Silver led you to run out of your manor. As you stepped out, the darkness chased behind you and Epel, Grim, and Yuu were in front of you. Silver instructed you to grab onto him and just like that, you were free falling through the clouds of a beautiful sunset.
Ruby- Riddle actually first noticed you one day when he was on his way to the library in your homeland. You lived nearby and had been tending to the ruby red roses bushes in your front yard. A small smile and wave was all you offered and Riddle returned a slight nod and a tight smile that didn’t fully reach his eyes. But at that moment he felt his heart skip a beat. Riddle thought you were incredibly pretty and found your gentle nature with the plants surrounding you to be a refreshing change of pace. But Riddle did his best to forget about the interaction during most of his days, only thinking about how sweet you had been to someone you didn’t know on the nights he couldn’t sleep well. By the time you two saw each other again, you had forgotten all about that little moment. Riddle didn’t talk to you much besides pleasantries during club meetings, and he only came out of his shell in your second year at NRC. You had heard whispers and rumors about someone overblotting, and as scary as it sounded, you weren’t keen to believe every wild rumor you heard. Over the next few weeks, Riddle started speaking to you more. It wasn’t much, just small “Very good work today”’s and a few more hellos in the hallways. As he talked to you more. Riddle’s feelings for you grew. He saw you and Silver together and respected it very much! But he still wanted to be closer with one of the first few people to show him genuine kindness. Riddle started inviting you over to help with the hedgehogs and flamingos, to paint the roses, or even just to spend time trying some of Trey’s new recipes. He was relieved you were already aware of the Queen of Hearts rules and did your best to abide by them. What he liked even more was how genuinely sweet and gentle you were with all living things. You spared kindness to everything from plants, to animals, and even him. You grew to be much closer friends, even if Riddle has to push his true feelings aside.
Zircon- Halloween was fast approaching and everyone at NRC was buzzing with excitement. Each dorm had chosen a location and a theme, Pomefiore getting the Mirror Chamber and Vampires. Vil was in charge this year and his ideas were absolutely electrifying! All the costumes would be high quality and tailored to each student. Makeup would be practiced until it was flawless. Decorations would go all out too! After many rounds of makeup practice, (and a special session with Vil so he could make you makeup while avoiding your allergens, no way would he have a student unable to participate. Not on Vil’s watch) and a few meetings with costume designers to get your measurements and then get your costume tailored to absolute perfection, costumes were made, all the areas that would be on display were decorated to the nines by each dorm, and everything seemed to be running smoothly! But of course nothing can end that way at NRC. A picture uploaded to Magicam had all of Sage Island in a buzz. Hundreds more people than expected wanted in on this year's festivities and many people weren’t patient about it. Reports of people trying to sneak close to campus to get glimpses of the setup were racking up and Crowley handled this by lying about security and placing it on each dorm's hands to take care of the Magicam monsters.
After some incredibly disrespectful guests try to knock over the statues of the great seven and Crowley suggested canceling the whole event, you decide to step up and use your unique magic to help fix the situation.
“A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!”
In an instant you had come up with an idea to get the magicam monsters off campus without the possibility of hurting them using magic. Make the event so miserable for them, they leave of their own accord. You tell each dorm what to do in order to make this a success. Namely, you talk with Vil and Rook about banning photography and they agree.
The next day, each dorm puts in place their rules and pranks to back them up. Your plan was of course successful and the halloween party and parade was back on! Once you and all your dormmates had gotten dressed in your costumes, you made your way to the main street. From there, you joined a few other Pomefiore students on a float shaped like a dark castle. You were able to sit on the balcony shaped seat on the side and toss out candy to the visitors who had patiently waited for the Week of festivities. About halfway through the parade, you switched out with some other students and walked near Kalim. The two of you spent the rest of the parade acting and laughing for all the visitors. After the parade kids were able to trick or treat, shyly asking you for candy or sweetly complimenting you and your costume. One even commented that you looked like a vampire princess!
Finally, the Halloween party for students and staff could start. Everyone was handed a glass of sparkling juice for a toast to everyone’s hard work for the event and in celebration of Halloween itself. For the rest of the night, you talked to your friends, even getting almost everyone to play a big game of Sardines (tag and hide&seek mixed if you don't know! Everyone hides from the person who is “it” and when they’re found, they become “it” with the original person) on the amply decorated campus.
oh my gosh!!! this was so so so so so fun to write and sorry for the kind of abrupt ending but it was already 1k words longer than the original and THAT'S so crazy to me I don't know how I did that. but I really really hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!!
You are actually a transfer student from one of Darkwick's sister schools. Even back in your home country, any ghouls detected are highly encouraged to enroll into an anomalous educational institute, but you didn't mind so much as the school was highly prestigious.
However, you were the only ghoul there, and quickly found yourself alienated from most of your peers. Your stigma did not help your reputation, despite you attempting to use it to help others and the school, and soon whispers followed your back as you made your way across the halls. Even the school didn't understand your stigma and was wary of it, so your teachers urged you to join the transfer program to go to Darkwick Academy. Though you were hesitant at first, you complied in the end after hearing that there were many ghouls like you there, hoping that you would be able to find some new friends.
Your previous school theorized that your stigma could predict tragedies, or even cause them, which is why they sent you away like a bad luck charm. These conjectures were included in the report Darkwick received, and the staff decided it would be best to keep you separated from the general students. Thus you were placed in Obscuary.
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽ Profile: ☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
Species: Human ghoul
Occupation: Student at Darkwick Academy
House: Obscuary
Year: Second
Stigma:
⋆ Incantation - Vein
⋆ When you activate your stigma, you can see visions of the future, usually tragic events or incoming danger (especially when you're on a mission). You can see visions of someone's future by touching them. Your stigma has also worked on certain anomalous animals and objects, but you haven't had many chances to properly test it out.
⋆ A side effect of your stigma is that you often get nightmares involving visions of tragic events. Sometimes the time period doesn't make sense, and seems more like a vision of the past than the future. This has worsened your anxiety issues, and you've become quite the insomniac as a result. You're less likely to dream if you take 1-3 hour long naps though, so you try to take naps instead of sleeping the whole night.
Special artifact: Crystal ball
⋆ It functions like the crystal balls in media. You can use it to show the visions you receive from your stigma, thought the image will be as blurry or clear as it is in your mind. You can also use it to show events occurring elsewhere, but the length of how long the feed lasts will be affected by how far the location is. The crystal ball needs to be charged under the full moon. It will not function if you do not charge it.
⋆ Apparently your special artifact was collected from an abandoned covenstead, so it is very old.
⋆ While you were walking through the storeroom, a low humming sound caught your attention. The humming grew louder as you approached the source of the song. Then quieted when you stopped in front of the crystal ball. It is clear you were chosen by it, and you chose it in turn.
⛧₊ ⊹ Extra:
⋆ Your stigma incantation, "Vein", is an anagram of the Ars Goetia demon Vine. He is an Earl and also a King of Hell, commanding 36 legions of demons. He can tell present, past, and future, discover witches and hidden things, create storms and make the water rough by means of them, and also bring down walls and build towers.
⋆ Your tarot readings are highly accurate, though it is unclear if your stigma has any effect on the accuracy on the readings.
⋆ You have a higher sensitivity to spiritual energy than most people. This can manifest as feeling a wave of nausea if the room you're in suddenly filled with malevolent or cursed energy. You can't see it (unless you learned to do so), but your body will give you "warning signals". Sometimes you can see a flicker of a person's silhouette in front of the floating biwa or close by Hotarubi's anomalous doll.

Chapter Title: Oracle
Edward: Dear, My Love, My Heart, Dear Heart
Rui, Lyca, Romeo: Ori (though Romeo will add a -san behind it)
Taiga: Ori/Cassie
Towa: Lily
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽ Relationship with: ☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
Mizuki Rui
He was the one to greet you when you entered Obscuary grounds after the entrance ceremony. His bubbly energy was a bit much for you, but at least you didn't have to do much talking as he showed you around the place. You actually liked the decor and felt right at home, to his surprise. He tries not to make a big deal out of it, but he's really happy to have a new housemate, especially one that knows how to clean up after herself. He's even more grateful for you after Lyca joins Obscuary. He can rely on you to make sure the house doesn't burn down when he's gone! He also thinks it's super cool that you're a licensed bartender. Maybe you have some tricks you could teach him? He's happy to let you help out at the bar if you want! (But you're probably busy with your own fortune telling business).
Lyca Colt
He was really awkward with you at first. Well he was awkward with everyone since he just came out of containment, but he was especially awkward around any girls. But living in the same house meant forced interactions, especially with the resident extrovert Rui trying to get you both to get along. So he found himself warming up to you quickly, especially after seeing how kind you are. You never confuse him too, always being honest and explaining things to him when he doesn't know something. Now he sees you as an older sister figure, and learns a lot from you by imitating what you do. It's very cute. If you praise him for learning something new or doing a good deed, he'll light up (if his tail was out, it would be wagging behind him).
Kagami Subaru
You met him through Lyca. Though your first few conversations were a bit awkward - given you both are on the quiet side and have problems with anxiety - his kind and considerate personality made you warm up to him pretty quickly. The both of you would bond over your shared interest in horror, myths and legends! You even find scary things cute just like him! Subaru can be a bit shy about sharing his interest in horror, but he would feel comfortable around you. With time, he would be happy to call you his best friend! You both have this funny "brutally honest x too nice/scared of conflict to be honest" dynamic. It's even funnier when Lyca is added to the mix. You and Lyca say whatever is on your minds, and Subaru weakly urges you both to be careful with your words... Despite him telling you to be less harsh, he also admires you for being able to speak your mind so openly, since he often hesitates to speak up. Maybe you could encourage him to have more confidence in himself.
Romeo S. Lucci
Romeo heard from his subordinates about someone in Obscuary who can predict the future, so the next time he went to Rui's bar, he demanded to see you. After confirming that you could indeed predict at least some things, he added you on WickChat and established a special business relationship with you. He's going to come see you before he goes on missions now. He needs to know about anything bad that might happen!! Of course he's going to pay you for your services. If you're smart, you would market your stigma to the other ghouls and even general students. He'll help you if you ask nicely~
Taiga Hoshibami
He found out about you from Romeo. For the first time in a long time, he was interested in meeting a new student. Someone who can predict the future, huh... So he got up and went to Obscuary. Marched in like he owned the place. Lucky for him, Mickey wasn't around. But the guard dog was. At least you came out to see what Lyca was so worked up about. He cut straight to the chase and told you he wanted to see if your stigma is the real deal (he's even happy to get a tarot reading if you offer). He left right after confirming.
But you haven't seen the last of him, oh no. You soon realize he pops up wherever you are a lot more after meeting him for the first time (he's been leaving Sinostra to see you). He isn't even doing anything, just following you around like a lost puppy, sometimes stopping to grab a snack before catching up with you. Most people would be terrified if they had the captain of Sinostra shadowing them, but you find things that shouldn't be cute cute, so it's possible you don't mind it that much? He will say weird things to get a reaction out of you, but it's possible to calm him down if you ask him questions to steer the conversation in a more normal direction. Once you get past his scary appearance and unpredictable demeanor, you might realize that he's trying to be friends. Sometimes you'll see him scratching his chin before speaking to you like he's trying to remember something.
He won't tell you even if you ask him why he's taken such an interest in you. He feels a special connection with you, that's all.
Your lover is... Edward Hart!
Quiet introvert x bubbly extrovert is a classic trope, but I think a quieter, more introverted partner would work better with you. Edward isn't shy by any means, but he isn't a chatterbox, so he's good at starting conversations but won't overwhelm you with energy. This can be especially helpful for you who is sensitive to noises and prone to overstimulation. Edward would appreciate your intuition and kindness (even if he likes to make remarks regarding you being taken advantage of, it's not like he doesn't bask in your kindness himself). Once he gets close enough with you to witness your chaos and cat-like behavior, he finds you even more endearing.
♡ Edward likes to do his own thing, but doesn't mind listening to someone if they prove to be a worthy leader. He finds it hot when you get down to business during missions and convince him to cough up information he knows but won't share. He also won't lie or mislead you. Once you get him to talk, which is the hard part, he'll speak nothing but truth for you. Whether or not you utilize the information well is another thing, and you get the feeling that he's watching you to see if you succeed in the end, but the reports don't lie. Ed went from not bothering to sign any paperwork to following you around on missions and cooperating just because you asked him to. Rui confirmed.
♡ Anyone happy to watch streams or YouTube with him is good company to Edward! He likes staying in his room and watching videos, so someone who is happy to do the same is great for him. It's great that you consider parallel play as quality time, because he does too! As long as you're close enough to cuddle~ As for gaming, he doesn't do it on his own, but he's happy to try it out if you invite him to! You might get frustrated at how he fails to learn the controls though...
♡ Movie night dates!! His favourite dates for sure. He likes them best in his or your room, but if you really want to see a movie in theatres, he won't have any problem getting a R&R permit. He's less enthusiastic about arcades and nature walks, but he'll go to see you smile. Thrift shopping is a nice middle ground, because he might find cool (clothing) pieces or objects, but for the most part he likes staying in the dorm.
♡ Your love languages align well, particularly in quality time and physical touch. You have his permission to hug him anytime! But with how often he holds you and clings to your back like a koala, you won't get many chances to initiate the hugs. Giving Edwards gifts isn't difficult at all if you're content with giving him money to donate to his favourite streamers, but if you want to do something else, then it gets tricky. Books are good, but it's hard to tell what he likes to read and which books he has already read. He won't help you either because he finds it fun to watch you guess. Do your best to surprise him~
♡ He doesn't mind your clinginess and instead finds it endearing. He's basically a hermit nowadays, so you won't have to worry about feeling jealous when he spends most of his time with you. When he does meet people, his flirting habit might be a concern, but I think he would tone it down a lot after getting into a relationship with you. Because he never thought he would trust and love someone again. He's scared of losing you as well, wanting to pull you closer instead of pushing you away. He only has one bruised heart, so be gentle with it, okay~?
You grew up in a sorcerer family. Not one of the great clans, but a small one with respect and decent standing in the jujutsu community. You didn't end up getting one of your clan's inherited techniques, but rather your father's cursed technique, first in the family — Connection. Your first neural link was with him, established by him, and your family wonders if you awakened the Connection cursed technique because of that. You got to experience a happy and normal childhood, as your parents didn't want to pressure you into becoming a sorcerer. But you wanted to anyway, because your father and many of your other relatives are sorcerers. So you joined Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, and met the one and only Gojo Satoru who would change your life (but not in the way you expected).
Cursed Technique: Connection
You can create a neural link with any sentient being that has cursed energy ( meaning sorcerers and even curses) by imbuing them with some of your cursed energy. Your technique is basically telepathy - You can communicate with your marked targets through the neural link. It is easier for you to send messages or images to the other party than for you to receive them, but it is still manageable for you when they are within your city-wide range. If they are too far, you are only able to send simple messages to them. You can block the other party's side of the link so they cannot send you anything through the link (good for distracting curses during battle as support). The neural link also means that you can pinpoint the location of your marked targets as long as they are within your range.
Your ideal match is…Gojo Satoru!
♡ Gojo would be drawn to your mysteriousness, wanting to crack that distant and reserved demeanor of yours and discover what lies behind it. Which means he annoyed the absolute shit out of you for attention. It is likely that you were part bothered by his antics, part interested because he's your type. Also, anyone would be at least a little flattered by the attention. Especially when it comes from the famous Gojo Satoru.
♡ At first he was just blindly throwing questions and comments at you, but once he mentioned Digimon, you perked up with interest. The both of you started talking about games from there and managed to bond further through playing video game together in his room!
♡ The both of you complement each other in the opposites attract way. He is soothed by your kind and helpful personality, learns to process his negative emotions with your guidance, as well as have some manners and consideration for others. On the other hand, his logical way of thinking rubs off on you. You may be prone to bouts of melancholy and overthinking, but he pulls you out of them with his cheerfulness.
♡ The both of you have a bad habit of growing distant sometimes and then trying to make up for it with gifts. At least that means that there would be an understanding between the both of you? Gojo doesn't have many genuine connections in his life, so he would be possessive of you too. Especially when he feels like he hasn't gotten enough quality time with you recently and sees you hanging out with other people.
♡ Besides video games, the both of you also bond over books and knowledge! You like history and science, and he knows a lot of maths because of his cursed technique. Exchange of information between nerds ensues. He likes that you have your own areas of interest that allow you to challenge him intellectually. He loves learning from you, especially when you whip out the fun facts. Make it snappy.
♡ Gojo is happy to receive love however you like to give it! One of the fastest ways to his heart is to give him sweets. Bonus points if you get something trendy or popular for him before he had time to get it for himself. He is the clingy type 80% of the time, and appreciates any quality time he can get with you when his schedule allows for it. Even then there's no guarantee that he won't skip some meetings with the higher ups so he can have lunch with you. As for words of affirmation, he tends to receive them with pride, all smug and pleased with himself. Except for the times when you say something that hits his soft spots and gets him flustered or melting under your now amused gaze.
♡ Gojo is stingy with the usual words of affirmation, preferring to tease you over giving compliments and praise. Makes the occasional "good job" from him all the more precious. It feels like you earned it properly. But that isn't too say he hardly gives words of affirmation. He can be surprisingly...romantic? For every couple's pet name (baby, honey etc) he calls you, he throws in something more intimate when referring to you while talking to someone. My treasured one, my deepest love.
Nerds who don't seem like nerds, losing books in each other's collections, heavy flirting that makes everyone within a 10 foot radius of the both of you roll their eyes, inside jokes, you playing the guitar for him, video games, arcade dates, competitive banter, debates that end in play fighting on the couch, clothes shopping together, dozens of selfies whenever you both come across a rack of sunglasses, stealing food from each other, sharing desserts, walking around with him clinging to your back like a koala, blue and orange
A/N: You could have joined Tokyo tech either as a local student or exchange student for an exchange program. I left it ambiguous so it can better fit your narrative. ⸂⸂⸜(രᴗര๑)⸝⸃⸃
Casting your unique magic gives you a limited time "glamour" effect in which you feel more calm and confidant, and come off more attractive and charismatic to others (could lead to them being more agreeable towards you). It's a simple spell, but helps tremendously with the public speaking and confrontations that you hate so much (no stumbling over your words or freezing up!). You can use the spell 1-2 times for however long you need daily before your blot accumulation levels become dangerous.
Sibling: Cater Diamond
Your older brother who loves to spoil you rotten! You're his only younger sister, so he's quite protective of you, especially since you can be shy and socially awkward. Your extroverted brother has no problem dealing with bigger groups of people that threaten to overwhelm you (especially during family reunions). Though he also hopes you'll expand your social circle, so he often introduces you to his adopted introvert friends in hopes that they'll click with you. He's always praising you and commenting on how cute you are (just like your older sisters), often paired with pinching your cheeks, so you've grown up showered with love from all siblings. He's definitely the reason you overuse emojis while texting because he does it too. Or maybe he got it from your second eldest sister?
Best friend: Silver
The both of you would get along really well! The kind of easy friendship two introverts have with each other, he likes your sweet and polite personality, and you like how he's honest and straightforward but not unkind. Your love for animals is a great match with Silver, whom animals seem to always gravitate to. When you hang out with him, it's not long before a squirrel or cat comes up to him and you can pet it. He loves your singing and will compliment you whenever you sing in front of or for him. He does have a tendency to fall asleep when you sing slower songs like romantic ballads though. Often you'll finish singing, look back at him and find him asleep, resting his head on the nearest surface.
Relationship with:
Riddle Rosehearts
The both of you would make good friends! After he's had some character development post-overblot at least. Your sweet and agreeable personality meshes well with his more logical and straightforward one, and it works because the both of you appreciate the traits that you lack in the other. Though you both can be socially awkward in your own ways, Trey and/or Cater are usually close by to help alleviate the awkwardness. You both often spend time together talking about the books you've read or playing with Heartslabyul's hedgehogs that Riddle likes so much.
Ace Trappola
I can imagine you both being unlikely friends somehow?? He got to know you through Cater, and decided arbitrarily that he liked you enough to want to keep hanging out with you (he just likes teasing you). He's like an annoying brother, always bothering you with his boisterous personality and dragging you into his antics. He can be blunt with his words, so he's accidentally offended you a few times when really he meant well. When that happens, he won't say he's sorry, but he'll buy you snacks in lieu of a verbal apology.
Epel Felmier
The both of you would get along well! At first glance, people would think you both are birds of a feather, being on the shyer and quiet side. The both of you even have the same MBTI type! However, anyone who is more familiar with Epel's personality is confused as to how you both are friends with your contrasting personalities, with your sweetness and empathy and his short temper. But! It is this clash in personality that draws you both to each other, forming a friendship forged in mutual growth. You help him to be more relaxed (and well-mannered) and he helps you to be more assertive. Because of him and Ace, you're often dragged into their antics (along with Deuce), which always leave you exhausted at the end of the day. But hey, you get so many cool and funny pictures out of them. You'll laugh over them years later.
Your ideal match is…Rook Hunt!
Given how shy you are, it makes sense for you to have a more extroverted and friendly S/O. Rook was definitely the one to approach you and initiate conversation, along with more of your chats with him after that (always one-on-one, as he is quite intuitive with the emotions of others). Though he might have come off a bit strong at first, eccentric personality and all, you didn't mind talking to him. Over time, you got to be comfortable with him and started showing more of your silly habits. You also got to see more of his personality, namely how romantic and open-minded he is, always finding the beauty in everything. Also thoughtful, honest (though albeit secretive) and not afraid to express his feelings. Before you knew it, your feelings for him started shifting from platonic to something more... But true to your shy nature, your relationship with Rook had to be initiated by his confession.
♡ He has the emotional intelligence to know when to push for you to share your problems and when to give you space and not force to you into being emotional vulnerable when you're not ready. It's probably his most attractive trait. He gets it because he's like that as well, being the secretive person he is. Most of the time, you both will end up cuddling for comfort instead of talking about what's bothering you or him. He's fine with it as long as you are - Cuddling until the bad feelings are gone suits you both better anyway.
♡ Rook is a nature lover too! He's always down for a nature walk, happy to hold your hand and bask in your company all the way. He'd also like taking a stroll in the woods, but only if you're comfortable with it. He's fine sticking to parks and gardens when he's with you; He can always go to the woods alone if you prefer not going on jungle treks.
♡ He loves physical touch! Both giving and receiving, so you both are compatible in that aspect. He loves to give hugs and kisses to the back of your hand, leaning into the chivalry you find attractive. On the flip side, he is more than happy to receive your affectionate touches, especially your spontaneous kisses to the head. He doesn't mind being the little spoon, but he will comment on the height difference when you press yourself against him because he finds it funny.
♡ With your receiving love language being words of affirmation, Rook would make you feel SO loved!!! He's always complimenting you and hyping you up. If singing your praises isn't enough, there's also the poems he's written about you and he will show them to you with no reservations (social anxiety fears him). Don't let him catch you downplaying or doubting yourself or you'll have to take the barrage of encouraging compliments and affirmations he showers you with.
Photo albums, rural picnics, shared collection of fantasy books, him writing poems about you, weekly readings of said poems, you catch him staring at you every time you look over at him, crying over emotional moments in anime together, singing together, romantic serenades, writing about him in your diary, love notes from him left in your bag, cuddling each other for comfort over talking about feelings, "the moon is beautiful tonight", you were pointing at the moon, but he was looking at your hand
A/N:
♡ Your personality really reminded me of certain Disney princesses like Cinderella and Aurora, so your UM was inspired by the spell that was cast on Cinderella for her to go to the ball.
♡ You gave me major Heartslabyul vibes. I was debating between Riddle, Cater and Ace for your sibling matchup, but Cater won in the end because of your "spoiled youngest among 3 siblings" status. I thought you'd make an adorable younger sister for him to spoil.
♡ Writing the second half of Epel's section gave me such Yuu vibes for you. You're so Yuu coded to me now help. I can imagine you taking pictures of everyone for the NRC school newspaper. Conducting interviews would help with your social skills a lot too. XD
