Got this new vape that lets me see through time. Started off cool but now it only shows me these cone shaped invertebrates that had an advanced civilization hundreds of millions of years ago. They're boring as hell.
CTHULHU IS NOT A FUCKING GOD IN-UNIVERSE AND NYARLETHOTEP IS NOT A GREAT OLD ONE!!!
Thank you. As you were.
"Radiates, vegetables, monstrosities, star spawn -- whatever they had been, they were men!"
Summanus, Mangler of Remembrance
A colossal Great Old One, one of myriads commanded by Azoth, the Defiler of Harmony. His very presence in one place misplaces the present and the past, causing past events to reoccur as if they were happening for the first time. He is summoned to the mortal world in a great shining gleam like a blinding metallic sheen accompanied by the sound of terrible creaking. Crowned god of nocturnal thunder by his vampiric cult, he long slumbered in Vix’ni-Aldru, the void-gulf between universes. He speaks exclusively in Enochian, a language of enchantment which possibly explains why his mere existence distorts reality.
Oh and here's some peaks at my redesign of Wilbur and design of Oscar (The Dunwich Horror)
I'm so not used to drawing more detailed faces but I'm practicing
A community where beings who work with the eldritch can interact, share information, and collaborate.
Here you go. I have made a community for anyone who works with eldritch beings.
Did Lovecraft himself ever build a finished structure for his fictional universe? We now know that the term CTHULHU MYTHOS did not exist during his lifetime. HPL occasionally used the term YOG-SOTHOTHERY when making reference to his developing background mythology. Still, even that term was uncertain, difficult to interpret and did not appear until 1930. Certainly if we compare all the references Lovecraft makes in both his fiction and letters to writer friends a concrete framework is hard to pin down. Did he have a plan in mind that he had been working from prior to 1930? Certainly that was around the time he began revisiting older tales and incorporating bits and pieces from the old into the new. Several of his revisions or ghost written stories done for others expanded upon this interconnected mythology idea. The very fact that Lovecraft saw his concepts being structured and unified beyond his own values by others may have been one reason he stepped away from original fiction in the final years of his life?
