I lost 3lbs on my second weigh in back on track. I had the usual little inner conflict again where I argued with myself about how I hadn't lost as much as the week before and I had to remind myself that losing 8lbs a week is just not achievable or healthy, so I feel like I'm doing well to stick to my resolution about beating myself up. I also made an effort to stick to my 'rut' resolution and tried something a little bit different to me today. I did 20minutes of yoga for beginners which I actually found really enjoyable and not as hard as I thought. I guess my body is stronger than I give it credit for. Something weird happened afterwards though, and I need someone to tell me I'm not being ridiculous. After I finished the yoga routine and settled down, I started crying. I mean, it's no secret that I'm a cryer. I cry at the slightest thing, but I really had no reason to cry. I was even laughing at myself through the tears at how ridiculous it was. My partner has been asking if we can do some yoga together but I don't want him to laugh at me if I cry again afterwards 😂 Anyway, I also had a little non-scale victory today. My brother bought me a Nike sports bra (pictured) for Christmas and I was convinced that it would fit as it looked tiny. Well I got it on and it's actually pretty comfy. It is a bit small but that's due to the fact that I'm fairly large busted, and it wouldn't be any good for anything high impact, but it's great for doing a spot of yoga!
Can anyone recommend a really great beginner yoga online? YouTube? Looking to start for first time. Much appreciated.

Now that is a yoga pro move.
yoga.
I'm excited to start it. For once, it's NOT something I want to do to lose weight. Some sources say that can happen, but there are more benefits that are essential to me right now. For example, elevated mood, strength and increased endurance - better posture, balance, and send of calm. Increased libido, less stress, and I want that "oneness." I would like to use yoga as a way to understand myself and my energies better. I can't do Craft in my dormitory, but I CAN do yoga. What are you experiences with yoga? I want the hood, the bad, the grusome. Experts, beginners like me, anyone - I'd love to how yoga helped or maybe hindered your life in anyway.
I want to do yoga , I'm a big girl but I have bad knee what can i do.
I am not an expert on bad knees, so I can only give you what I’ve done when my knees were acting up.
If I’m in a pose that requires kneeling on the ground, I put a blanket under my knees to soften everything. If even that is too much, just avoid those poses. When in poses that require lunging, such as warrior II or crescent lunge, I just won’t lunch as deep.
I use Yoga Journal often in my practice for information and tutorials, and they have a great page on doing yoga with bad knees, and I encourage you to check it out!
I have never done yoga, but am attempting to try new things. Yoga is something I'm determined now to do but am not quite sure where to start. I would join a class, but those tend to be a bit pricey. Do you have any tips on what I could do?
Sorry for the late reply...I missed this somehow!
My journey started with the Instagram yoga community. I found instagrammers who hosted monthly challenges, starting specifically with BeachYogaGirl and her #MayIBeginYoga challenge. It was pose-focused instead of flow-focused, but it’s what I needed to get into everything. Plus, posting daily for others to see help motivate me.
When that stopped being enough, I did seek out classes. Call around to different studios--many offer introductory prices for new-to-the-studio clients. Some, it’s just a single class. Others offer week specials. The studio I found offered an all-you-can-attend special for half the price of their usual unlimited passes. I couldn’t keep that up for very long after the introductory month, but I used the shit out of that unlimited pass, going multiple times per week, sometimes even twice in a day.
Having the experience of in-person classes under my belt made me more confident taking my practice home. Now, I use Yoga With Adrienne on YouTube. She has a couple of 30 Days of Yoga series that are great, and I think she has a great spirit about her.
The simplest advice? Just start. There’s no right way to do yoga as long as you are being safe and smart about your body’s abilities at this moment. Modify with props as needed, and above all, have fun!
