"I love you so much. Please don't ever leave me," You confessed to the beautiful genius before you, face hot and your body drenched in sweat under thick blankets.
"Stop saying stupid things," The genius in question replies, not sparing you a glance as he worked on your medicine, hands moving swiftly and meticulously as he mixed the herbs in a bowl, "You have more important things to worry about."
"But you are what's most important to me," You shamelessly retort, "Please, don't leave me.. I love you so much..I'd probably cry if you left me.."
"Calm down, I'm not leaving any time soon," He replies plainly before mumbling, "Not that I could if I wanted to. Knowing you, if I left you'd probably try to brush off your illness like an idiot and end up dying somehow.."
"Do you promise?" You ask and this time, Yun turns to look at you, his frowning face meeting your expectant one.
You truly are stupid, he thinks.
"It's going to take a while for me to finish your medicine so you should rest until then," His eyes break away from yours to return back to the bowl in front of him, "I'll wake you when I finish."
"I'm not sleeping until you promise me you'll stay."
"Fine, I promise I'll stay. Now get some rest."
"I don't believe you when you say it like that."
"Well that was the only time I'm saying it so you'll have to deal with it."
"Can't you be the tiniest bit romantic sometimes. I really think it would benefit our relationship if—"
"Go to sleep or I will leave."
"Y'know, the miss can stop poking Zeno now," Zeno said cheerfully only to be once again poked in the arm by you, who still seemed to be rather awestruck.
Understandably so. I mean, how can you not after what happened..
"Sorry.." You mumble out, reluctantly letting go of his arm, "It's just.. Even though I saw your powers with my own eyes, it's hard to believe that you're really okay."
As the gruesome events of the other day replayed over and over in your head, your fist clench uncomfortably tight, your nails digging into the skin of the palm of your hand. Zeno's eyes soften at the sight.
Slowly, he takes your balled fist into his hands, using his fingers to gently pry your fingers apart. Once done, he grabs your other hand and intertwines both of his hands with yours.
"Do you feel this? Zeno's holding your hand, you feel that?" He asks, his smile widening when you eventually nod your head.
"See, Zeno's just fine! No need for the miss to worry!" He lets go of your hands, bringing both of his hands up to ruffle your hair, "So cheer up!"
"Zeno.." Was all you mumbled before an almost frustrated groan slips from you. With rather aggressive movements, you grip the back of his head and shirt, forcing him to collide with your chest.
"You idiot! How can you act so carefree after scaring me half to death?" Zeno's eyes widen, not because of your angry tone or how tightly you're holding him, but because of the tears—your tears—that he feels stain his clothed back.
"I was so scared.. I.. I really did think I was going to lose you.." You wrap your arms around his neck, your head coming down to rest atop of his as tears glide down your cheeks, some of which landing on his head and wetting his hair.
"I love you.." You weep, "I love you so much that I couldn't bear the thought of something like that happening again so please..try not to let it happen again.."
Oh, how he wishes he could lie to you. To tell you that he'd never throw himself into a situation like that again but that simply wouldn't be true because he probably will. To be completely honest, he doesn't care about what happens to him or this body of his. Being a shield is his one and only purpose and in a way, his reason to live. It'd be too obvious of a lie to tell you he'd never do something like that again..
..But at the same time, seeing you cry over him like this is not something he wants to make a normal occurrence.. It's nice to know you care for him enough to cry over him, but he'd much prefer your smile over your tears.
And so, he wraps his arms around you, lifting his head up to bury himself in your shoulder as he allows you to sob into his, smiling to himself as he whispers in your ear, "I'll try for you."
"I'm home!" Bachira's excited voice rings throughout your apartment as he swung the door open.
After being gone for so long, he was so happy to be home! So happy to be able to rest in his bed and eat yummy food and, most importantly, he's so so so excited to be able to see you in person again! To see your smile, to hold you close.. Eeee~! Just thinking about it makes him all the more eager!
..But you aren't waiting for him at the door like you said you would.. Where— Oh, nevermind.
As he walked closer to the large sofa, your figure revealed itself; comfortable and tangled in pillows, you were fast asleep and softly snoring away. The sight makes him pout. As cute as you are like this, he would've liked it if you were awake and greeting him with open arms like he imagined..
Guess he'll have to settle with a goodnight kiss.. Or maybe he should wake you up with a surprise, hehe..~
With a mischievously silly idea now forming in his head and a playful smirk on his face to match it, Bachira takes no time to lean over the couch. He dips down, inching closer and closer to your face..
And just like that, he was caught in your trap.
Everything happened in a instant and before Bachira could process you flipping him over and onto the couch, you were already covering his face in wet kisses and tickling his sides, causing his face to crinkle up as a string of laughs force their way from his pale lips.
"I knew you'd try something!" You say, wide awake and grinning triumphantly at the boy dying of laughter underneath you.
"I- Ahahahaha..~! I- I thought— Wait! I- Ahahahaha..~!" He couldn't even get his words out because of your ruthless assault to his poor sides. It was only when the tears begin to form that you finally showed mercy, removing your hands from his sides at last.
He takes a few breaths, his body going limp as it's released from your ticklish torture. You wait a few moments to allow him to catch his breath before your hands come up to tangle in his two-toned hair, carding your fingers through it in a rhythm..
"I got you pretty good," You say cheekily, it earns a small, slightly breathless chuckle from your boyfriend.
"I thought you were asleep," He says, "I was asleep until a few minutes ago, thanks to a certain someone," You quip before completely falling on top of him, slamming all your body weight onto him and burying your face in his chest. Not that he minded.
"You made such a ruckus opening the front door you woke me up," You explained in grumble, although your tone made it evident that you weren't actually upset.
"Sorry, 'couldn't help it! 'Wanted to see your gorgeous face as soon as possible!" He says. Planting a kiss on your forehead and following up by pulling you up and kissing you in various other places like your nose and cheeks, "I missed you so so so so so much, babe!"
A huff escapes you, but it looses it's vexing effect due to the wide smile painted on your face, "I missed you too, beautiful. But next time, come in a little quieter.."
Lazy days were always your favorite.
No annoying ass colleagues annoying you about boring ass work, no early mornings, and the best part, no leaving the bed. What makes things even better is that your boyfriend was home, cuddled up to you as you played in his hair.
"You're really pretty.. My pretty boy.." You cooed into his ear. You've been whispering compliments into his ear ever since the two of you woke up and although he liked it, the endless stream of adoration was really starting to get to him..
"Stop.." Nagi mumbled out in a way that comes off as borderline whining as he attempted to bury his face into your shoulder even more than he already was.
"What? I thought you liked it when I complimented you, baby," You said, eliciting another, even more whiny, groany, mumble from him.
"I do, but not when you're shoving it down my throat like this.." He said, but his pink ears gave away the truth; he simply couldn't handle anymore of sugary-sweet compliments..
Even with his sweet tooth, he knows that any more candy-drop affirmations would give him a stomachache..
You chuckle, "Okay, okay, I'll stop for now. ..I'll just shower you in kisses!" And before he could complain, you were already leaning in and covering any and every part of his face that you could reach with wet pecks, "Heyyyyyy," He groaned, but he doesn't stop you. Afterall, attempting to stop you would be too much effort and he hates putting in effort for anything on lazy days..
Hm, guess he stuck being pampered like this until you tire yourself out. How annoying.. Not really, but it's hard to sleep when you're making his heart race.

YOTD x Yona’s Younger Sister!Reader Part 1
Hak + Yona + Yoon + Zeno + Kija
Tw: Mentions of Blood/Violence towards big bad guys in Hak's section.
Yona
Back at the castle before the Kings death Yona wouldn't talk to you. To be fair you’d never approach her since you'd also had your own schedule.
This made you two pretty distant regardless of your close blood relations
Though it all changed after the death of the king.
Absolute princess treatment by the one and only princess!
She’s extremely protective of you, always holding your hand no matter where you went.
Being the last of her close family she fears losing you.
The time you were poisoned and fell into a coma she was besides the entire time holding your hand, almost breaking into tears.
Would absolutely want to teach you self defense, and would even beg Haks to help teach you.
Yona would try to remain tough in-front of you, but you always saw through her act, giving her a big comforting hug. She absolutely adored you for that, and begun being more honest with her feelings to you.
Though you two looked similar she’d always compliment and touch your hair,
“Wahh, it’s so silky and smooth!”.
In conclusion! Yona would be the best big sister ever 🫂
Hak
At the palace you two only knew each other by name,
Only running into each other when Hak would be assigned to your section of the palace.
The day that the King died when Hak and Yona were escaping they found you peaking out of your room.
He was quick on herding you and your sister into a protected blob,
And at that moment he made a promise to not only protect Yona but you as well.
Though after finding the dragons and going through adventures together he’d frequently tease you.
Regardless of his harsh teasing, he still cared, and protected you.
“Hey shrimp! Be careful!”
In his eyes you were like a puppy. Walking around smiling while unknowingly falling into danger.
It gave him a lot of stress.
He’d always keep you in the corner of his eye, appearing out of no where whenever you need him.
You’d trip on a rock falling towards your impending doom when out of no where Hak would hoist you back up on to your feet
“Tsk, you weren't listen huh, I said be careful!”
Whenever you'd go missing or get injured he’d take it personally, and throw a tantrum
As in get his hands dirtied with the blood of those who did you wrong..
Though Hak would never admit it, he’d actually developed a big soft spot for you in his heart.
So pretty much a mean but secretly soft older brother🤼♀️
Yoon
Honestly the first time he saw you he was a bit upset.
Not only did he have to deal with one spoiled princess but two! Oh.. the tragedy for this sassy pretty boy :((
But the closer he got to Yona the closer he got to you.
Actually Yoon would start playing favorites-
Whenever he cooked a meal and you’d ask him for more he’d immediately give in, and huff almost as if you had forced him to. (which you didn't, you asked nicely)
“F-fine! Take it!” He’d puff
Like the mom he was he would scold you whenever you’d leave the camp alone searching for firewood.
Though every time you showed him of how capable you were he'd ignore the evidence and pull up with the "BUT WHAT IF?" counter claim. Stubborn man doesn't stop INSISTING for you to take a battle buddy
The day you joined the pirate crew and had to prove your worth by climbing the cliff with Yona he had nearly collapsed
He was absolutely opposed to putting his sweet summer child into danger, immediately throwing a fuss when the idea was proposed
Whenever he saw you break out into a fever he’d worry THE MOST
After treatment he’d sit and watch over you a long side Yona.
And whenever you needed him he’d always be there, no matter how far or impossible, this man absolutely adored you.
Though his too much of a sas to admit it he really cares for you, and his heart melts whenever your around. ❤️
Kija
Was honestly confused by your existence LOL, he wasn’t sure if he was suppose to serve you..? or be indifferent..? I mean you had red hair but uh???
In the end though he didn’t settle for any of those options… he settled on having a crush LOL
Whenever you spoke to him he’d completely meltdown into a puddle, his words becoming intangible.
“Y-y-YEs! H—ow.. uh uh- C-can I he-elp!” He’d stutter out turning bright red,
“Uh.. Kija you ok?” You’d tilt your head in confusion before Kija would only squeak in response, and bolt away.
In the end though Kija had decided to protect you, and respect you.
Whenever the situation would turn dangerous a switch would flip and he’d suddenly have the courage to be near you.
Though if he saw even just a drop of your blood he’d immediately panic and rush towards you, tears prickling in his eyes
You’d have to hug and comfort him before he’d stop panicking and crying-
Please be nice to him! He doesn’t know how to approach his crush but his trying his very best LOL-
Zeno
The first time he had a proper conversation with you he was completely struck through the heart.
*grabs* your my friend now!
And from that point onwards whenever you’d approach Zeno his eyes would shine even brighter and his cheeks would turn flush 😊
Also he'd become more petty, and sarcastic to others when the subject became you.
"Hey! Whacha up to." He'd beam
The boy would never leave you alone, following you around with a big smile
"Zeno do you need something?"
"Nope!"
You kinda just let him do his thing, silently following you as you worked on making a fire.
Zeno always tried making attempts at small talk.
He really just wanted your attention, as well as to hear your voice
His clingy needs probably stems from his past. He didn't want to waste a single moment without being near you.
"Nope! Sorry, I want them to do it!"
The most frustrating and stubborn man, would always want YOU to do things for him, otherwise he'd all together refuse what's given to him.
You had your sweet moments though, he'd take the time to make flower crowns, and give you cute little homemade gifts.
And you had to admit, the boy had the prettiest, and brightest smile, so it was always a blessing for you to see him happy.

The gentle light filtering through the window illuminates the room, casting a warm glow on everything around you. You can hear the sound of the world outside, but it all seems distant and unimportant as if you're in your own little world.
As you slowly awaken from your slumber, you find yourself wrapped in your girlfriend Yoon's loving embrace. The warmth of her body and the softness of her skin against yours makes you feel safe and secure. You feel her rhythmic breathing against your neck as she holds you tightly, and you can't help but smile.
As you lay there in Yoon's arms, you feel a sense of contentment wash over you. You have nowhere to be, nothing to do, and no one to answer to but each other. You take a deep breath and bask in the moment, knowing that there is no place you'd rather be than in her arms.
You can't help but smile as you gaze down at her sleeping face, her eyelashes fluttering ever so slightly. You reach out to gently poke her cheek, hoping to wake her up.
"Pssst, Yoon, wake up," you say softly, poking her cheek again.
She stirs a little, but instead of opening her eyes, she nuzzles further into your chest, murmuring something unintelligible. You chuckle softly, and stroke her hair, enjoying the peaceful moment together.
"Come on, sleepyhead, it's time to wake up," you whisper, giving her cheek another poke.
Yoon grumbles in her sleep but doesn't wake up. You continue to poke her cheek, trying to coax her out of her slumber, telling her that you have to get up and start your day, but Yoon isn't having any of it. She pulls you closer, pressing her face into your chest, and nuzzles you lovingly.
"Just five more minutes, please?" she pleads, giving you the most adorable puppy dog eyes you've ever seen.
You can't resist her and decide to indulge her request. You snuggle up to her, wrapping your arms around her, feeling the warmth of her body against yours. You take a deep breath, inhaling her sweet scent, she somehow always smells of citrus.
After a couple of minutes of silence you slowly open your eyes and start to move, hoping to get up and start your day, but Yoon stirs and murmurs in her sleep.
"Where do you think you're going?" she asks, half asleep, as she wraps her arms around you and pulls you back into bed with her. "Good morning, y/nie," she says, her voice soft, laced with sleep.
You smile down at her, feeling your heart swell with love. You lean in to give her a gentle kiss, savouring the sweetness of her lips. "Good morning, Yoon. How did you sleep?" you ask, as she snuggles back into your chest.
"Amazing, with you by my side," she replies. She shifts to sit up, stretching her arms.
“Are you ready to get up?” You ask, your arm wrapped around her waist. She nods, kissing your forehead gently.
“I’ll go make breakfast.” She says, pulling you up. “Any requests?”
You pretend to think even though both Yoon and you know what your answer is going to be, “Mmm, pancakes!” you exclaim, as if you had epiphany. Lazy days like this, Yoon always makes you pancakes.
After a quick shower you walk into the kitchen to your girlfriend dancing, with some 90s song blasting in the background. "I'm feeling so pancakey today!" she exclaimed, twirling around with the bag of flour in her hand.
You couldn't help but laugh at her antics, and you decided to join in, humming a tune and shaking your hips to the beat.
As you start to mix the ingredients together, you realized that you had forgotten to buy the most important one - the eggs.
"Oh no, Yoon! we don't have any eggs!" you exclaimed, looking at her in dismay.
Yoon looks at you, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Don't worry, Chef Yoon has a secret ingredient that will make our pancakes even better," she says, as she pulled out a jar of peanut butter.
"Peanut butter?" you ask, feeling a little hesitant. How could peanut butter substitute eggs?
"Trust me, it'll be delicious!" Yoon replied, as she began to mix the peanut butter into the batter.
You trust Yoon's instincts, and you continue to mix the batter together, adding a dash of cinnamon and vanilla extract for good measure.
As you started to pour the batter onto the griddle, things began to get even more chaotic. Yoon accidentally knocks over the jar of syrup, causing it to spill all over the counter and onto the floor.
"Oh no!" she cried out, as she tried to clean up the mess. “Baby help me!!”
You immediately grab a towel, and started to wipe up the syrup, but then you hear a sizzle and a hiss coming from the griddle. You look over, and see the pancakes have started to burn.
"Yoon, the pancakes are burning!" you shout, as you tried to flip them over with your hands.
Yoon quickly grabs a spatula, and helps you flip the pancakes over, but they didn't look quite right. They were lumpy, and uneven, and some of them were even stuck to the griddle.
Despite the chaos, you and Yoon couldn't stop laughing. You decide to just roll with it, and see how the pancakes turn out.
As you finally sit down to eat, you both took a bite of the peanut butter pancakes, and were surprised to find that they were actually pretty good.
"These are amazing!" Yoon exclaimed, as she took another bite.
You couldn't help but grin, even though the morning had been chaotic and a little messy, it had been filled with laughter and love. Every moment spent with Yoon was precious, and you cherished every laugh, every conversation, and every memory the two of you made together. There was no one else in the world that you would rather spend your time with.
"Do you want to go to river today?" Yoon's voice brings you back to reality. Your smile widens at the mention of the river, memories of your first date flooding back to you.
"The river?" You repeat, the smile lingering on your lips, "What inspired that idea?"
She shrugs, eating her pancakes, "We haven't been in a long time, and it's the perfect weather."
You reach out across the kitchen island, squeezing her hand, "Let's go."
"Let's go!" She echos, jumping from her seat with excitement, not bothering to finish her breakfast. She grabs your hand, dragging you out of the kitchen to the front door.
You go along with whatever your girlfriend Yoon does, following her out into the warm spring morning. You can't help but wonder how she does it. Even on the laziest of days, she's bursting with excitement and enthusiasm, ready to take on whatever the day has in store for her.
You aren't even half way to the river when she stops, playful glint in her eye "Come on, jump on my back!" she says, grinning from ear to ear.
You look at her skeptically, unsure if you really want to be lifted up by her. "Are you sure you can handle my weight?" you ask, teasingly.
Yoon rolls her eyes playfully. "Of course I can, you're not that heavy!" she insists, before adding in a mock whisper, "If you do fall off, it might be on purpose."
You let out a laugh, knowing that she's just teasing you. "Okay, fine. But be careful!" you say, as you climb onto her back.
As she starts to walk around, you can't help but feel a little nervous. Yoon is a strong person, but the idea of being lifted up like this still makes you feel a bit uneasy.
Yoon noticing your apprehension, pretends as if she's losing her balance, making you yelp in surprise. "Oh no, I'm gonna drop you!" she exclaims, before laughing and steadying herself.
You can't help but laugh at her silly antics, feeling a sense of joy and playfulness fill you up. As Yoon continues to walk ahead, she keeps pretending to lose her balance, making you jump and squeal in delight.
"I swear, if you drop me, I'm gonna tickle you!" you threaten, playfully.
Yoon just grins mischievously, enjoying the game. "You wouldn't dare," she says, before pretending to stumble again.
You both continue to walk ahead, with Yoon carrying you on her back and teasing you, and you can't help but feel grateful for her infectious energy and sense of humour. Even though it's just a silly piggyback ride, it's moments like these that make you feel alive and happy. You nuzzle your face into her neck, breathing her sweet perfume.
As you near the river, Yoon picks up her speed, almost running to your destination. You laugh at her energy, holding on to her neck for dear life.
"Are you even breaking a sweat?" you ask, teasingly.
Yoon laughs, her legs pumping as she charges towards the water's edge with you still on her back. You shriek in surprise and hold on tight, feeling the wind rushing past you as you go.
When she finally comes to a stop at the edge of the river, you slide off her back and take a few deep breaths, trying to catch your breath. Yoon grabs your hand collapsing on the glass, pulling you down with her.
"Woah, that was something else," you say, grinning at Yoon.
She beams back at you, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Told you I had energy to spare," she says. You wrapped your arms around her, pulling her in for a tight hug. Being back at the river with Yoon reminded you of just how much you loved her, and how grateful you were to have her in your life.
You lie in silence for a while, basking in the warm sun. The peaceful sound of the flowing water filled the air, and a light breeze made the leaves rustle. You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath of fresh air, feeling content and relaxed.
Out of nowhere, Yoon suddenly speaks up, breaking the silence. "Do you remember the first time we met?" she asks, a hint of nostalgia in her voice.
You smile at the memory, "Of course I do. It was in our philosophy class. You came in late and sat next to me." You remember the first time you saw Yoon like it was yesterday. It was your first day of university, and you were nervously sitting by yourself. You were sitting in your university lecture, trying your best to pay attention to the professor's words. Suddenly, the door burst open and in walked a tall girl with long black hair. She quickly scanned the room before making her way to the empty seat next to you. As she sat down, you couldn't help but notice her infectious smile and lively energy.
Yoon chuckled. "Yeah, I don't think anyone could forget my loud and obnoxious entrance." You laugh, pulling her closer to you, "And I kept talking to you throughout the entire lesson, even though you were clearly trying to focus on the lecture."
"Yeah, I was trying to take notes, but you were too distracting." You mumble into her chest, hugging her tightly.
Yoon playfully hits your arm, "Hey, I was just being friendly."
You look up to look at her, "I know, and I loved it. I instantly knew I liked you." Even though it was a couple of years ago, you can still remember the scene clearly. You remember the cute outfit she wore; her baggy jeans with cropped white tee. You remember her asking you for a pencil; she never gave you your pencil back but you didn't really care. You just couldn't believe someone like her was talking to you.
Yoon grins, "Yeah, me too. You were cute, trying to act all serious and focused. But I could see through that and knew you were just as outgoing and fun as me."
You both laugh, enjoying the memory of your first meeting. Yoon leans her head back onto the grass and looks up at the sky. You feel her fingers interlace with yours, and she pulls your hand closer to her, resting it on her chest. You both stare up at the sky, watching the fluffy clouds drift by.
"Look, that one looks like a puppy," Yoon says, pointing at a cloud.
You squint your eyes and try to see it, but all you can make out is a vague shape. "I don't see it," you say, laughing.
Yoon turns to face you, propping herself up on her elbow. "Here, let me show you," she says, sitting up and pulling you up with her. She points up at the sky, her finger tracing the outline of the cloud. "See, the head is here, and the ears are here." She looks back at you, grinning. "Can you see it now?"
"Oh my god, you're right! It does." You nod, impressed. "Look, that one looks like a house." pointing to an oddly squared shaped cloud.
"I see it!" She responds excitedly, tracing the outline with her finger to confirm.
"Hey, let's skip some stones!" You turn to Yoon and say,
Yoon grins at you and stands up, eagerly walking towards the water with you. You both bend down and pick up some flat rocks, each trying to find the perfect one to skip.
You carefully select a stone and holding it in your hand. "Watch this," you say, before throwing the rock. It skims across the surface of the water several times before finally sinking below.
Yoon tries her luck and toss a rock, but it only bounces once before sinking. "Not bad," You say, patting her on the back. "But let me show you how it's done."
You picks up another rock, taking a deep breath, and tosses it with all your might. The rock skips so many times it's almost hard to count. You both laugh and cheer as the rock disappears into the distance.
"That was amazing!" Yoon exclaim, "You're soooooo good at this." She slurs her words, her arms snaking around your waste. You feel your cheeks heat up at her words, but you can't help but feel a sense of happiness at the same time. Yoon always makes you feel so comfortable and loved.
As you continue skipping stones on the water, you can feel Yoon's presence behind you. She has her arms wrapped around your waist, and her head resting on your shoulder. You pause for a moment, taking in the beautiful scenery and the feeling of Yoon's embrace.
Without thinking, you turn around and face her. "Yoon," you say, taking her hands in yours. "I just want you to know that I love you. I love you so much."
Yoon's eyes light up with happiness, and a smile spreads across her face. "I love you too," she says, pulling you into a tight hug. "I've loved you since the moment I met you, and I will always love you."
synopsis: Jayoon isn’t usually the jealous type, well that’s a lie, but it’s not like it happens every time you meet someone new… but when you meet a really pretty girl that you felt an instant connection with, she gets a bit annoyed for some reason.
word count: 4.1 k
genre/contains: Best friends to lovers trope, fluff and some light angst, jealous!Jayoon, love triangle ((angle) but only actually in Jayoon’s mind), possessive!Yoon, mention of throwing up and implied drinking, mention of food, kissing.
a/n: This was so much fun!! It's not as fleshed out as I would have wanted it to be but tbh I'm just impatient and want love to happen as fast as possible. I hope this does your request justice and have a great day you too!
.・。.・゜✭・..・。.・゜✭・.
“How was your day?” Jayoon mumbled as she heard you enter her room and greet her with a cheery “Hi!”
“Not bad actually! I met this super cute girl in class today, and I absolutely adore her already,” you chirped back in response.
The words caught Jayoon by surprise, making her quickly put away her pen and notebook. Studying could wait, especially when you come barging into her room, telling you that she “adores” some “super cute” girl she just met.
“I know, I know, that sounds so cheesy, but I do! I adore her already!” You continued to talk, throwing off your shoes and bag into a corner of the room before throwing yourself onto your best friend’s bed.
“Oh, that was… quick,” she said while turning around in her chair to face you, trying to sound as normally shocked as she possibly could.
Luckily, you didn’t register anything other than completely expected shock from her answer and went on to explain yourself. “I know, but we just ✨clicked✨, you know what I mean?”
“Yeah, sure…” Jayoon muttered while she rose from her seat at her desk and moved over to the bed, plopping down next to you.
“Okay wait, let me get something to eat real quick before I tell you about her, do you want anything?” you burst out and hopped up from the bed before making your way towards the door.
“Anything really, you can just make extra of whatever you're having if that’s fine,” she said, forcing a smile onto her face as you looked back at her halfway through the door.
You opened the door and declared: “Two bowls of ice cream coming right up then!” before skipping out of the room, leaving your best friend alone in her room.
Jayoon isn’t the jealous type. Okay… that’s a lie. But she isn’t the type to get jealous over things like you making a new friend?! At least she wasn’t until today, she thought as she waited for you to come back. She threw her head back against the couch, closing her eyes and pressing her hands against her face; hoping the action would somehow make her snap out of the emotions banging on the door to her heart.
You came back with two bowls in your hands and a beaming smile settled comfortably on your face. Jayoon smiled back at you, telling herself that she wouldn’t be this petty. The least she could do was hear about this girl and then decide if it was even necessary getting jealous over it at all. Not that she had any right to actually be jealous here. It was just a new friend; more importantly, she was your friend. Nothing more than that. She didn’t have jealous privileges because of that and she knew it.
She took the bowl that you offered as you sat down next to her again, picking up where you had left off. "Now, I have to tell you about this girl, her name is Isa and she's just the sweetest person ever." you began, while simultaneously scooping up ice cream and plopping the spoon in your mouth.
"We haven't really talked much before now, but today we ended up talking a bit after class, and then we actually went out for coffee afterward and just talked!"
Your eyes were beaming as you spoke about this Isa person, Jayoon could feel the sticky feeling of rage mixed with envy making its way into her mind.
"She also really likes to read and she and her roommate are raising a bunch of cacti, together in their apartment. Isn't that just too cute!?" you continued.
Jayoon nodded, plastering a smile onto her face, "Uhu, sounds like she's really nice..." with a tone that you clocked as fake immediately.
"Okayy? what's with the tone Yoon?" you questioned, putting your spoon and bowl down on the bed to declare your seriousness.
This caught Jayoon by surprise; she didnt think you would notice it, or she hoped you wouldn't. But you two had been close for way too long for you not to notice when her acting skills were being put to work.
“Nothing, I’m just a bit tired that’s all,” she tried to play it off, deciding that confronting this non-existent issue was something that should be avoided.
She was avoiding your skeptical gaze, but through her peripheral, she saw how you stared at her. It was burning her skin, the way your eyes bored into her head. She needed it to stop but what could she do? Her reaction wasn’t normal, and you noticed, of course you noticed, but she needed you to let it go.
To her relief you eventually did. “Alright, I guess you need to sleep then, just… call me when you feel more rested,” you said, your voice containing both a genuine worry for her and a hint of annoyance, the latter being the part that made its way into Jayoons body only to stomp on her heart once you had picked up the bag and made your way out of her room.
God, why couldn’t she just have listened to you like a good freaking friend? She wanted to be your friend, she really did, but sometimes it felt like there was something else between you. But that something was never going to happen. So why, why couldn’t she just pretend to care, to be happy about this new acquaintance of yours? You hadn’t even said that you liked this girl or anything… and still, it made her feel sick; hearing you talking about her with your face twisted up in a smile so wide she could swear you were glowing and sparkling like a damn diamond.
Jayoon groaned and threw herself down against the soft pillows underneath her, she would have to apologize for being such a downer to you later. First, however, she needed to sleep these horrible feelings off.
.・。.・゜✭・..・。.・゜✭・.
It had been almost a week since you brought up Isa for the first time and Jayoon had begun acting even stranger around you. Whenever you would meet up you would hang out as usual; playing games, talking about your days, or cuddling up next to each other and watching movies late into the night. It was as natural and comforting as it had always been. There was nothing about it that was out of the ordinary - until you would bring up her name.
At the mere mention of Isa, Jayoon would become completely disinterested. She would try to change the subject, dismiss everything you were saying, and at times she was just plain rude about not wanting to hear about your new friend.
The first time it happened, you had thought that perhaps she was just tired like she said. The second time, you presumed that she was just feeling stressed about school.
The third time, you had tried to convince yourself that she simply wanted to talk about something else and that she had thought you were done talking about your meetup with Isa.
The fourth time, however, she had groaned, actually groaned(!?), and rubbed her face in her hands. She had acted as if you were a nuisance by simply trying to talk to her, like you wanting to share what you had done and who you had met during your day was something she just couldn’t bear listen to because you bored her to death. At least, that’s the signals you were recieving, and you had had it by now.
“Nope, that’s enough,” you snapped, pausing the game and putting your remote down in front of you. Jayoon met your gaze, looking half like a deer in headlights and half as a living question mark, wondering what you wanted and why you had paused the game right in the middle.
“What the fuck is up with you, you seem like you get annoyed every time I speak nowadays, did I do something wrong?” you bark out, annoyed at the entire situation, and feeling like shit because the one person you thought wanted to hear your thoughts was behaving in the opposite way of how she usually did.
Jayoon looked away from your piercing eyes, fiddling with her controller she bit her lip slightly before answering you. “No, no of course you haven’t done anything wrong…”
“So then why are you acting like you are disgusted by my voice Yoon?” you rebutted.
“Oh, come on, you know I don’t feel that way…”
“Do I? Because that’s exactly what you have been making me feel the past week, every time I try to talk about me meeting up with my new friends you have acted like you don’t give a shit about what I have to say or my life,” you said, your voice about to break apart from the emotions welling up in your throat.
“I swear, that’s not it. I’m just- I’ve been a bit stressed about school, and everything else right now, and I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to take any of it out on you, but I guess I did anyways… I’m sorry okay?” she tried to assure you, and altough she seemed genuine in her apology, you didn’t feel that she was being truthful.
You wanted to let it go, you needed to let it go, but could you?
“Sure, I get that, it’s just that it doesn’t seem like you, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you act like this before… it just feels weird I guess. But you know you can talk to me about it, right? I can help you with studying if you need it, even though I’m unsure I would even understand half of what you’re studying, I’m here if you decide you need me.”
She had stayed quiet the entire time you had spoken, her eyes had grabbed back onto yours as you ranted and when you were done you felt stuck inside of them. You had always loved her eyes, the way they could feel like pure sunshine and warmth but at the same time as stabbingly ice cold as daggers of pure silver. Her gaze was piercing, but her expression was so gentle. You could swear she looked like she was seconds away from saying something, but she didn’t, instead, you parted your own lips slightly, about to ask if she was okay. But instead of the asking, the action caused all of your words to disintegrate into nothing but butterflies trapped in your stomach when you saw her burning eyes leave yours only to land on your lips instead before they flickered back to your eyes with even more intensity.
Your mind felt fuzzy, your entire body felt hot and bubbly, that was something you did not wish to feel right now, this was so not the right time… But before you could think any further, her face was turning away from you and back to the screen lighting up the room and her face with it. You would’ve sworn you saw a hint of pink on her cheeks, but it was probably just the lights from the game, or you were mistaken; because why would she be blushing?
“Should we just continue?” Jayoon murmured.
“What, yeah, yeah, we should,” you blurted out as her words dragged you, feet first, out of your mind.
.・。.・゜✭・..・。.・゜✭・.
Since then, she had been less rude, at least you didn’t feel like she despised you whenever you tried to talk about your day or your friends. Honestly, you were kind of feeling bad for lashing out at her so harshly. Yes, she had been making you feel bad, but it was literally only when you wanted to talk about your new friends, that she didnt even know and also pretty much always when she was already doing something else, you had realized in retrospect. And at all other times, she was the same Yoon you had always known and loved. Attentive, hilarious, caring, and everything else that made her the person you loved so dearly, she was your best friend after all. So maybe it was a little bit understandlable after all…right?
Maybe, the problem is that she doesn’t know them, and maybe, she would be more interested if she knew who you were talking about. So, to somehow kill all of the birds between you two with one stone that was already, very conveniently laying in your hand; you decided to just have them meet up.
And so you ended up standing in the kitchen of a house party of someone you did not have a clue who they were, introducing Isa and Jayoon to each other. You tried your best to get them off to a good start, “Yoon, this is Isa, and Isa this is Yoon!” you had begun, and Isa had greeted Jayoon like a normal freaking human being. Jayoon on the other hand smiled a half smile, and sloppily shook her hand back with such disinterest you were honestly speechless for a moment.
You glanced at her, shooting darts out of your eyes towards her before turning to Isa and giggling out an awkward apology, “I think she’s just not feeling it tonight,” you put forward.
“No, no I completely get it, this isn’t really my type of thing either,” she said, smiling at you and then at Jayoon.
It wasn’t reciprocated by Jayoon though. Instead, she just glanced at her before turning towards you, “I wanna dance, come with?” she asked. Altough, it was barely a question as she was already pushing you away from the kitchen and towards the dance floor, leaving Isa all alone, confusedly waving to you as you were being shoved into some sort of living room where the lights were flickering on and off in an array of colors along with the beat of the music blasting across the room.
“Yoon what the hell, I wanted to introduce you two!” you tried to shout to her. But the bass of the song drowned out all other sounds in the room, and Jayoon didn’t seem to catch a single word as she began moving to the beat. Her expression had flipped completely from just a minute ago and she was now smiling at you from ear to ear. Nevertheless, you wouldn’t dance, standing in front of her with your arms crossed, hoping your body language would be enough to speak for you since she couldn’t hear your actual words.
She understood. You knew she did, but instead of stopping whatever she was doing, she decided that the thing that would be able to fix your sour mood was the one and only: robot dance.
That’s correct. She did not stop dancing even when you were frowning in the middle of a crowd that was jumping up and down around you. Instead, she began stiffening her entire body, dragging her arms across the space around her in stiff and controlled movements, jiggling her arm down from an angle while looking at you and wiggling her eyebrows.
“Do you really think that’s gonna work on me right now?” you shouted, trying to get your annoyance across even though a part of you knew it was hopeless.
Presumably, that same part was the one that accidentally made you slip up, a small smile making its way to the corners of your lips. Of course, this only spurred Jayoon on and she began making her robotic moves even more exaggerated. Damned is that part of you that couldn’t resist laughing at whatever silliness she was doing at all times, but that part did always win in the end, and so you laughed, making her face light up even brighter than before.
Okay, cursing her out could be postponed, you were at a party after all, in the middle of a dancefloor at that, not dancing right now would probably be weirder than dancing along to the weird-ass moves Jayoon was pulling out next to you. So you followed along, first with her robot dance, and after a bit simply into jumping, swaying a bit, letting your body be filled with the sound of the bass rumbling through everything around you. It was hot and slightly sweaty in the body of people moving non-stop around you, and the temperature definitely did not sink in your own body once you caught Jayoons gaze observing you as you danced in front of her. Her movements were slowing with every second, her eyes fixed on you.
Suddenly the bubbles filling up your entire body and mind came back faster than you could think to look away. There it was, the feeling you hopelessly wanted to push away, god you needed it to just disappear before you did something stupid. You tried to look away, but before you could you felt a hand lightly touching your waist, and Jayoons body coming closer to yours, moving together, barely matching the rhythm of the crowd around you. Your eyes locked to each other, both of her hands now resting on your hips and your own arms snaking their way to hers. There was that other thing! Her eyes, flickering down to your lips for just a moment only to come right back to your eyes, burning just as fiercely as always when she looked at you in those few moments where you were so impossibly close to each other.
What does that even mean? And why does she keep looking at you like that? And why has she been acting so weird with Isa, only to give you these looks - messing with your head and your emotions? And why are you looking down at her lips now? Why can’t you resist the thoughts imposing in your brain telling you that you should just lean in and- NO! Do not. You freeze, suddenly hyperaware of her hands, hot on your sides. You needed to get out of here.
Breaking eye contact and letting go of her, making her do the same, you began backing away, searching for something to run towards until you saw Isa. She was standing by the exit towards the patio, and you began working your way through the crowd and towards her instead, away from Jayoon and all the dangers of the situations you had just found yourself in.
You needed some air.
You came up to Isa, sweaty and out of breath, and shouted, “Need air!” before pulling her with you outside to the brisk night air. Once you found a free spot outside where you could stand back and lean against the cold brick of the facade you let out a deep sigh.
Nevertheless, your relief was cut short by Isa interrupting your moment.
“Are you okay? Do you need to throw up?” she asked with concern lacing her voice.
You had almost forgotten that you had brought her outside with you, but now it was kind of a nice distraction if you were being honest. “Oh, no I’m fine, just got a bit hot in there,” you huffed out with a smile.
“Okay, well do you want something to drink then? Maybe just some cold water? I’ll run and get some,” she proposed and you nodded and accepted with an exhausted, “Thank you, that would be great.”
Isa nodded with a smile. “I’ll be right back, don’t pass out ok?” she said as she made her way back into the house.
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath of the cold air that stung a bit in your nose. But once again, your moment was interrupted. This time it was by Jayoon’s voice asking if you were okay. Your eyes flung open when you heard her voice, and you found her standing right next to you, watching you with a concerned look on her face.
“Yeah, I’m fine, as I told Isa; I just needed some air,” you said, trying to keep your composure. But when you caught Jayoon literally rolling her eyes as you said that your composure completely dissolved.
“What the fuck Yoon? You’re really rolling your eyes at me right now? Because I didn’t feel like dancing anymore or what?” you spout out before you could think, the rage taking over instead. “Also, why did you act like that before with Isa? You acted so rudely, I just wanted you two to meet so that you could be more interested in hearing about what I had been doing with other people, but I guess that was just too much to ask huh?” you continued, Jayoon’s eyes darkening with every word.
“Excuse me what?!” she finally snapped back. “Do you think I would actually be mad at you for not wanting to dance with me anymore? And also, now that we’re talking about that - I never wanted to meet her! So no, I didn’t act my best, but I never wanted to be in that situation to begin with, and I don’t know why you put me in it like that?” she hissed back at you.
“Then what is up with you? I literally don’t understand your issue here. I am sorry that I tried to make my best friend meet my other friend that I find really amazing too, but don’t act like this is the first time you have acted all weird whenever I mention or talk about her!”
You wanted to calm down, but it was too late, you were mad, and somehow you felt that it was now or never. And apparently so did Jayoon, because she didn’t back down either.
“Yeah? I don’t like it when you talk about her. It’s not like I have committed a sin worthy of you going off on me like this! I don’t want to hear about how amazing and freaking perfect this girl that you just met is, I just don’t.”
And then it clicked. You squinted at her, suddenly trying to study something in her, “And why is that? Why don’t you like that?” you said, your voice as clear as glass when you spoke, making Jayoon freeze up both due to the tone and by the question. She backed a step away from you, “I don’t know, I just-” she began, her voice void of all anger that had been there just a moment ago, replaced instead by an insecure tremble and shaky eyes looking back at you as you continued to study her every move.
“You just what? What didn’t you like about me getting close to Isa?” you said, suddenly much more confident in yourself and your words, taking a step towards Jayoon, closing the distance that she had created by stepping back.
“I-” she began, voice shaky until she met your gaze. Your eyes were steady, a glint of hope hiding somewhere in them, combined with your lips, a smile playing at the very corners of them, waiting, hoping.
Her eyes widened, and with that, her entire demeanor changed, she didn’t shy away, she didn’t back up again, and she didn’t avoid your eyes anymore. Instead, she stepped closer to you this time, eyes locked on yours as she said, “I was jealous.”
“You were jealous. And why would you be jealous of me befriending someone like Isa, hm? Is it because she’s really pretty? Or maybe it’s because I told you I liked her from the first time we talked? Or-” you were interrupted by Jayoon taking yet another step closer, her body now millimeters from yours, making you feel the heat radiating off of her in the cold.
She leaned in, “All of it. I want you to be all mine.”
Your breath hitched, “...oh,” was all you could get out before you both leaned in the last of the bit, your lips meeting and your knees feeling wobbly as you felt her soft lips on yours, kissing you with the same passion that you were kissing her back with. Both of you had let your arms wrap around each other, holding the other close, pressed against each other in your own bubble of warmth.
Breaking the kiss and feeling the cold slipping in between you and sweeping over your lips, you breathed out, “I like you.”
After listening for her to say anything for a couple seconds while keeping your eyes closed to stay in that moment, the moment before your friendship would either crash and burn or take on a completely different shape. But, you never did receive a response back so you opened your eyes, only to meet hers staring back at you with a huge grin on her face, “I like you too,” she said through her smile, and you couldn’t help but smile back at her before crashing your lips to hers again, letting the bubbles and butterflies surge through your body as you let yourself fall into her right then and there.

Pairing: Yoon x Fem!Reader
Idol: Sim Jayun (Stayc)
Warning(s): None!
A/N: I doubt this is what you would’ve wanted, but it’s all that I could come up with currently lol. I hope you like it, though! <3
Today, you and Yoon had to attend an award show along with the rest of the girls. You always made sure to stick close to her and the others because you didn’t want to end up losing them to the crowd on the inside. There were many idols, even some that you absolutely adored. One, in particular, was Dahyun. You considered this the one opportunity to possibly be able to talk to her, but you were too nervous.
You wanted to ask Yoon if she could bring her over, but when you looked over, she wasn’t even there. You assumed she went to the restroom because the others were standing not far from you. You called J over and she walked over with a huge smile on her face.
“What’s up?” She greeted you and went for a hug, to which you happily reciprocated. “I really need your help getting Dahyun’s attention. I want to say hi...” You admitted, causing J to squint her eyes at you teasingly. J knew how much you loved Dahyun and so did Yoon. She shoved you playfully before making her way to Dahyun.
You looked down and nervously fiddled with your fingers. It felt like forever before J made her way back with Dahyun. You looked up and Dahyun immediately smiled, causing you to do the same. J winked at you before returning to where the others were.
“Y/N, right?” She asked, nearly causing your heart to burst in your chest. The fact that she even said your name had you fangirling on the inside. You frantically nodded and her eyebrows raised in amusement.
“Well, nice to meet you!” She put her hand out for you to shake and you hesitantly shook it. “Your friend told me you were a big fan.” She said, her smile never leaving her face. You were definitely going to have a talk with J for saying that.
“I-I am...” You mentally facepalmed yourself at your stuttering, but Dahyun found it cute. “No need to be nervous, I don’t bite.” She said, a subtle smirk making its way onto her face. You swear you would’ve passed out right then and there, but you finally mustered up some courage. However, before you could offer a friendship to her, Yoon showed up and made her way next to you. You had no idea she was watching the interaction from afar. She did not look pleased by any means.
“Oh, Dahyun-sunbaenim! It’s nice to see you’ve finally met my girlfriend.” She said, her arm making its way around your waist and pulling you closer. She had a bright smile on her face, but you could tell it wasn’t the most genuine. Hearing those words, Dahyun’s eyes widened.
“O-oh, hello!” Despite her being flustered, she bowed politely. Yoon did the same, a triumphant smile now overtaking her disingenuous one. “You two can keep talking, don’t mind me.” She said, looking away from the both of you. You looked at Yoon and then back at Dahyun.
“Well, I just wanted to know if you wanted to be friends and if I could get your n-number.” You said, causing Yoon to look back. This time, she was watching you intently. You felt her gaze on you but you pulled out your phone nonetheless and handed it to Dahyun, who hesitantly took it after looking over at Yoon.
She quickly entered the digits before handing your phone back and bowing to you, wanting to quickly excuse herself back to her members. You bowed as well, an apologetic smile on your face. She smiled back at you before catching up with her members.
You looked towards Yoon, who was still looking at you with her eyebrows now raised. You crossed your arms with an amused expression on your face.
“Someone’s jealous...” you teased as you poked her side, causing her to flinch. Her eyes widened and she started shaking her head. All you could do was smile out of amusement.
“Am not.” She said as she looked to the side, causing you to tilt your head. You let out a soft laugh as you moved in front of her to face her, to which she continued to avoid your gaze.
“Sweetheart, I’m all yours.” You said as you cupped her face, giving her no choice but to look at you. You saw that she was trying to fight a smile but she lost that battle. You wrapped your arms around her neck and she wrapped hers around your waist.
“Well, not everyone knows that...” she trailed off as she pulled you closer. “However, I’m sure they’d know tonight.” She said, a smirk finding its way on her face. You squinted your eyes at her suspiciously, causing her to chuckle.
Without any further questions, she grabbed your hand and you both made your way back to sit with the rest of the girls. They smiled as soon as they saw you, to which you both reciprocated. You knew the award show would start soon so you decided to check your phone quickly.
What you didn’t expect was for you and Yoon to be trending on Twitter. Your eyes widened as you clicked one of the notifications. It was a picture of you and Yoon up close. From the angle, it made it seem like you two were nearly kissing. There were a bunch of replies from your “shippers” and people speculating whether you two were dating and if the picture was real.
You tapped Yoon and she looked over with a smile on her face. You showed her the picture and she couldn’t help but laugh. You looked at her with shock but the shock didn’t last long when she placed a kiss on your lips. Instead of shock, you quickly became flustered.
“Now, they know.” She turned away from you as the award show began, a huge smile on her face. You could not look away from her, but you then felt her intertwine your hands together and squeeze yours gently. A smile now made its way onto your face as you turned your attention to the stage.
Well, that’s one way to announce your relationship.
