There was a gun aiming at your heart and a pair of desperate eyes boring deep into yours as the weapon trembled in your hands. You had never been exceptionally good at shooting or at fighting for the matter, but as your teeth sank into your lower lip in concentration, you were determined to win.
‘You can still give up, honey. You know that, right?’ the young man in front of you asked and you shook your head as a sign of no.
“just nod your head.”

You were fighting a battle against your drunk self, your heart against your head, your hidden feelings against the words you told yourself over and over again, for months and months.
‘You don’t need him anymore. You don’t want him anymore.’ But the more you tried to convince yourself, the more you tried to forget about the suppressed memories, locked somewhere deep in the back of your brain, the more you felt like failing. How long would it take you to finally get over him?
Your eyes started to burn, not even blinking, as you blankly stared at his name on your phone, wanting to call him so bad but knowing you shouldn’t.
God, you missed him. Scoffing to yourself, you finally had to admit it to yourself: Maybe, after all the endless tries to convince yourself, you still weren’t over Song Minho. And how could you get over him? It felt almost impossible, no matter how hard you tried to avoid him.
Taking a deep breath you shook your head as if it would help you find happier thoughts. Seunghoon’s bathroom suddenly felt so small and constraining, as if you had no room to breathe. It was time to get up and leave the bathroom, get back to the party and act as if everything was fine, you knew that, but today it felt harder than usual.
Your thoughts were interrupted by someone knocking against the door and asking for you and for once, you were rather thankful to be interrupted while being in the bathroom.
“Come in. I didn’t lock it.”, you said, knowing it was Jinwoo on the other end of the door.
hard but not impossible — song minho
A/N: the end of this is horrible, but I worked on this a few weeks ago (like two or three) and forgot about it and couldn’t think of a way to end it so it kinda ended abruptly in my opinion, but I hope you enjoy anyway!
Pairings: Song Minho x Fem! Reader
Summary: Minho and you struggle with co-parenting your three-year-old daughter.
Warnings: domestic au! + family au!, parental issues, swearing, smoking
Words: 1,537
"We've already gone over this, Minho!" Minho's ex-girlfriend couldn't help but raise her voice.
"We have," Minho admitted with a nod. "And I told you I'd tell her to stop!" He snapped just as equally loud.
"You won't! I've been telling you for weeks to tell her to stop, and she hasn't. I don't want Hyojin around that." You explained, referring to Minho's current girlfriend, Ailee, who has a habit of smoking cigarettes. You'd caught her last week when you stopped by to pick up your daughter from her father, she'd been smoking around the three-year-old. You've scolded Minho hundreds of times for his girlfriends' behavior, and he always said he'd speak to her about it. Maybe he had, you hadn't been there for it though. But if he did, Ailee was incredibly rude and didn't care.
You even politely told Ailee to quit, at least around Hyojin. It wasn’t right of you to straight up tell her to quit permanently when it wasn’t your business and when you didn’t know what she was going through, but you at least wanted her to stop around your three-year-old. You could've been a lot meaner during those times, but decided that wasn't right either, also afraid Minho would somehow blame you if she ever broke up with him. You didn't want to be blamed, not for something that didn't necessarily even involve you.
He just never listened. He never learns, and he never will. You wished that every time you came to see him, you didn't have to argue. Because at the end of the day that was the last thing you wanted to do after work, arguing over already discussed things were starting to get old. You still loved him, he was your daughters' father. You wanted to work this out, you truly, truly did. But he was making it extremely hard.
Opening your mouth, you muttered, "If you can't respect that and don't want to listen when it comes to bettering Hyojin's life, then maybe she shouldn't go with you anymore." You stated boldly from your standing position in the middle of the living room, hands at work with the laundry you were contently folding before Minho knocked on the door ten minutes ago begging if Hyojin could spend the weekend with him.
Your answer was no. It had been no ever since you caught Ailee smoking in front of Hyojin while she was playing with her toys.
"Seriously? You can't keep her away from me. She's my daughter too." He sounded incredibly childish, but honesty was behind his words. And he was right. You couldn't keep her away from him, and you didn't want to have to do that. He was her daughter, they had a special bond, it was wrong of you to do that.
"I understand that. But I don't want her around things like that— people like that!" Angrily throwing the clean clothes onto the couch you tiredly yelled, "I've told you thousands of times, and you never listen." The tall man's eyes rolled, he began pacing in front of you, hands running through the blond tips of his hair.
He was growing angry the more and more you denied him the right to allow Hyojin to go with him.
"It’s practically the same situation as a year ago with that sleaze bag!" Your eyes widened in disbelief at his raised voice.
Your voice shook and your lips quivered, "Minho—"
"I guess we're in the same situation, huh?" His words were harsh, filled with malice, not from the core of his heart though. He could never feel that way towards you ever. This was just anger, in the form of words that at the end of the day, he didn't mean.
"I never let him hit her." Your voice was a low whisper, eyes threatening to glisten with tears.
"Doesn't matter," Minho shrugged angrily. Eyes dark and angry. "She was there when he pounded your head so hard into the wall it sent you to the hospital!" The man you still continued to love was furious. ”You remember when I had to come to the hospital after you called? Hyojin was scared! She said she heard yelling in the kitchen, Y/n!”
Your face dropped, eyes gazed down, mouth dry.
By the sullen look on your face, he knew he crossed a line he shouldn't have. Bringing up someone such as your abusive ex, in that way? He never saw himself doing that. Ever. But he just had; all because he was angry.
"Y/n—"
"Hyojin is upstairs. Help her pack a bag. You can take her for the night." You walked right past him, heading towards the kitchen.
Letting out a hiss at his stupid behavior, Minho whipped around quickly on his heel and allowed his long arm to reach for you.
"Y/n, hey—" your eyes caught his own eyes as you were forced to face him. They were tear-filled. And he felt horrible.
"I shouldn't have said that. I'm so sorry." He apologized, his thumb smoothed over the top of your hand, hoping to comfort you. Hoping you'd see he was truly sorry for saying such horrible things.
"I know. We all say stupid things right?" Gently snatching your wrist and retracting it back towards your side, you turned again and continued your trek to the kitchen.

"I didn't think co-parenting would be this hard, Hanni." You muttered to your cousin as you sipped on your honey tea.
"I knew it was going to be difficult," you muttered, your family member nodding in acknowledgment. "But not impossible." You sighed.
"I think what you're doing on your end is right. If he wants to act the way he is, he shouldn't be allowed to see Hyojin." Yuna, your cousin from your fathers sighed shrugged, her spoon swirling in her teacup. "It's not just him, it's her."
"Look, I don't want to be the one to ruin his relationship. And I don't want to be the reason he and Hyojin aren't close." You admitted honestly, hoping she'd at least understand a little of where you were coming from.
Your cousin said with a small grin, "You need to remove the problem.
"And the problem," She sipped on her scalding hot tea.
"Yuna—" you warned with a heavy sigh.
"The problem is what's her name," she snapped her fingers, trying to grasp a name although you knew she knew the troubled girls name.
"Ailee."
"Yeah, Ailee. Remove her from the situation." She shrugged as if it was nothing. But in reality, it was more than that. You couldn't just ‘remove her from the situation’. It wasn't that easy, and you shouldn’t have to break up a relationship; you didn't want to.It was incredibly wrong.
"I can't just remove her from the situation."
She verbalized, "She's a threat." You snorted at the older girl you called your cousin. She'd been at this ever since you and Minho decided to split, she'd always seen Ailee as a threat, someone she didn't like; hence why she said didn't even try to remember the girls' name, though you had a gut feeling she knew. "A threat to what—"
"You and Minho." She stated it as if it were the obvious, and maybe to her, it seemed like Ailee was a threat. But she really wasn't. She was just rude and inconsiderate; not listening to your or Minho, if he had even told her about the things that worried you.
"Me and Minho aren't anything. We agreed to stay friends."
"That's the problem. You need to get him back, maybe this time you'll be better together."
"I don't know.”
"You have to admit you still love him. I mean come on, you've been together since high school."
"Maybe that's the problem. We've been together too long. We know each other's faults, habits, everything. We needed a change, friends will work out just fine."
"He's still super protective." She explained. "I know it's a touchy subject, but do you remember that time you'd just newly broken up? Maybe like five months or so. And you ended up in the hospital because of that jerk."
"He sat with you the whole time when the nurses tended to your wounds. Wouldn't let the male doctor touch you, and complained to them that they weren't doing their best to help you."
"I remember." You weakly smiled. "I had bruises everywhere. I—I told him that the doctors couldn't just make them go away and that they would fade on their own. But he was persistent and mad that they weren't helping me; although they did give me pain medicine. He kept saying, 'You're doctors. You're supposed to fix her'."
"He got a little hostile. I knew it wasn't his intention. But he was fired up. Wanted me to be better."
"He wasn't even your boyfriend at the time and he was extremely protective. He still loves you, no matter what happened or what he said."
“He wants to be there for Hyojin. I know he does. What father in their right mind wouldn't want to be with their daughter?"
You sighed. “I guess you’re right.”

It was your last day visiting Korea, and your friends had all wanted to go celebrity hunting at least once a day. So far, you had met a few idols here and there and taken pictures with them, but you weren’t one for actively looking for them. It wasn’t sasaeng stuff, just going to places they had posted about and seeing if they showed up or not.
If they did, it was a win. If not, then you still had some good food and great conversation. Today, you got to choose what kind of place to go hunting, a night club. Specifically for BTS or BigBang’s GD. They were both known to frequent a spot called 마술, and so you went with a few friends to party the night away.
After doing your final touches on your makeup, you, Seongmin, his wife Soohyun, and their friend with a crush on you Changwoo, were headed to the club. It was a nice night out, so you decided wearing your most comfortable pair of heeled ankle boots would be best. Also, you liked to carry light, so no flats. You hoped you would be too drunk to feel your feet in about three or so hours.
At the club, you guys were left outside waiting because the club had “reached capacity” even though the bouncer was still letting in the faces he recognized. You recognized a few even though their faces were sometimes covered in masks.
A group of four guys and three girls entered, and for a moment, you met eyes with the guy in the back wearing gold pants and a blazer. That’s all you could see before you looked away and covered your stomach. You looked so fucking hot, why weren’t you being let inside? You had the confidence to wear a red choker, a red off the shoulder crop top with angel sleeves with a shorter than usual leather skirt and fishnets. Your shoes were a bit darker than your top, but it still went well.
Also, all over your arms and stomach were those metallic tattoos for some extra flair, even though a few sections were starting to chip off already. It had taken HOURS to get your hair braided on the sides to create a cute looking frohawk. You pouted and were about to tell the rest of the crew they should just head to another club.
“You, red and leather and crew, you’ve been allowed in. Don’t cause any trouble.”
None of you asked questions and quickly went in.
