Carol Denning (+ Barb): *cruelly murders her little sister and lives without remorse*
Me: well, that's unfortunate.
Carol Denning: *makes this sad puppy face*
Me: LISTEN, SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG IN HER LIFE, SHE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS MISERABLE LIFE AND MOST OF ALL SHE NEEDS A HUG (and a good psychiatrist). FUCK YOU FRIEDA, SHE TRUSTED YOU. YOU WERE HER ONLY FRIEND.

OITNB DENNING SISTERS RANT:
I just finished binge watching S6 of OITNB and i helplessly fell in love with the Denning sisters.
Let me be clear, they're two of the most problematic characters i've ever seen in a fictional universe and they probably don't deserve any sympathy BUT i think OITNB writers did them really bad killing them off so easily and keeping them alive only for one season, i mean their story and psychology ARE SO FREAKIN INTERESTING AND FASCINATING.
I would really love to have some decent writing skills because in this moment i'm craving a "what if" 60 chapters long ff in which Frieda doesn't betray Carol but instead really grows affectionate to her and tries to help her control her sociopathic tendencies, and yeah, i ship them but they would also be a great brotp. But also Carol should be a raging lesbian. Because... reasons.
And also... It would be so interesting to see how Carol and Barb (and their relationship) would have changed if they had the appropriate psychological help and if they started assuming the right meds.
It really bothers me that the series had just slightly tackled the fact that these two people weren't just a stereotypical and comical duo of serial killers who do terrible things just because they are evil. They were clearly affected by antisocial personality disorder and had an abusive father and a toxic family situation in general.
And even if this clearly doesn't justify their disgusting actions (they surely deserved to rot in jail) i think they deserved some kind of "redemption arc" because they weren't simply "evil", they were mentally ill.
And yeah i'm bitter because i think OITNB has wasted so much potential killing these two off and i hate knowing i will never have additional content of the Denning sisters.
At this point i really hope either we will have a spinoff or someone starts writing that Denning centered ff.
