Need a good last name for Yzla, Zevon, and Yaz: Which sounds best?
Caster/Castor (as a pun on casting a spell).
Heidrun (rune, secret lore).

Thanks @igetthedisneybox for the help.

sos descendants fans, I’ve made a live action fan cast collection for wicked world & isle of the lost characters, but for each Ruby Fitzherbert (wicked world) and Mad Maddy (isle of the lost books) I’m torn between two faces — would anyone be down to help me decide?
so far I have CJ Hook, Harriet Hook, Anthony Tremaine, Gaston Jr, Gaston the Third, Diego De Vil, Zevon, Freddie Facilier, Jordan, Harry Badun, Jace Badun, Jade, Clay Clayton, Rick Ratcliffe, Ginny Gothel, and Yzla, but if I’m missing anyone lmk so that I can expand this!
Update: the list is done and here, keep letting me know if I’ve missed anyone!
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost.
Officially, anyway.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Dr. Facilier kisses each of his daughters on the forehead before they go to sleep, ignoring their protests, and he keeps an eye out for them in school-it is his school, after all-and when various gangs come to the door looking to recruit, he chases them away with a fearsome look and a cane and the threat of shadows devouring their souls-and he would do it, he would set the shadows upon them, for his daughters are the one thing he would never trade for power.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Mal and Hadie pass each other notes in class, and trade looks in the school hallways, and Mal orders everyone to leave Hadie alone, not to bother him, not to harass him, or else.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Maleficent still teaches her daughter everything she knows-spells, potions, incantations. Her daughter may be only half-fae, probably unable to do magic even if she was not on this cursed island, but she is still of Maleficent's blood and bears Maleficent's name, and she will not have any kin of hers shame her fae blood by ignorance.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Grimhilde the Evil Queen carefully and painstakingly teacher her daughter, Evelyn, everything she knows about how to make herself beautiful: the different kinds and brands and shades of makeup, what went well with what, what dresses brought out her best, the use of different moisturizers and creams, and so on. A good marriage may, after all, be Evie's only way off of the Isle.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Anthony Tremaine embraces his mother when she sits in the corner, weeping, and he speaks to her softly when she lies on her bed with no will to ever get up again, and he keeps an eye out for his sisters and cousins, makes different arrangements for them. He allies with whomever will give him the deal that benefits his family best; he drops off his sisters and cousins at various allies and pirates whenever things get too out of control at home; he occasionally takes over his sisters' and cousins' shifts at Curl Up & Dye, he stands up to his aunt and his grandmother-the only Tremaine to do so-and he gives little Dizzy a hug when she comes to him in tears because her mother doesn't love her.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Cruella de Vil will defend her son against the street rats of the Isle, bullying him for not being strong enough or fast enough or brave enough. She may see her son as nothing more than a servant, but he is a bearer of the de Vil name, and no slight against the honor of the de Vil name will go unpunished. And so she charges after her son's tormentors, shrieking and striking out with her cane, until it seems that her namesake and her home's namesake is well met indeed.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Cecil de Vil is the only one who ever calls his sister Ella anymore, and he is also the only one who can calm her down when she is in one of her rages.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Carlos and Ivy and Diego and Hunter de Vil are inseparable, chasing each other through the halls of Hell Hall, building a treehouse together, looking out for each other in school, punching anyone who bothers any of them, helping each other with their hobbies (Carlos' is science and gadgets, Diego's is music, Hunter's is computers, and Ivy's is fire), working together in school projects, accompanying each other to dangerous locations, and generally letting it be known that if one de Vil was hurt, the wrath of all the de Vils would be brought down-but never forming their own little gang, even though four could have been enough, because each of them secretly fear ending up like Cruella.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Gaston Legume Junior and Gaston Legume the Third do everything together, from the few times they bother to do homework to when they are mugging people in alleys. They have each other's backs no matter what.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Uma would die for her crew, and they for her.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Silas "Squeaky" Smee and Simon "Squirmy" Smee do everything together, protect each other, comfort each other, and help each other sharpen their sailing skills.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Samuel "Sammy" Smee looks out for his younger brothers, threatens to beat up anyone who bothers them, and teaches them everything he knows about sailing-but he will not let them officially join Harriet's pirate crew, and Harriet agrees with him, even though the twins pretty much grew up on Harriet's ship, for Sammy wants a better life for his brothers than his.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Mr. Smee makes it a point to take his three sons and row out to the very edge of the barrier and fish every single Wednesday.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Frederique Odette "Freddie" Facilier looks out for her younger sister, and watches her whenever their father is busy, and keeps an eye out for her in school, and lets her tell her fortune, and reads her lifeline, and lets her help to treat the wounds of injured teenagers who show up at the door, like their father taught them, and brings her along to explore the Isle with her, unless she deems it too dangerous, and they practice together calling on the shadows, and she'll sometimes take over her sister's shift at the arcade gift shop if she really wants to do something else, and on one of these occasions, when Freddie had taken over her sister's shift and her (only) friend CJ was visiting, and some people with a magic lamp showed up and accidentally brought Freddie with them to Auradon, as soon as Freddie had managed to bargain to stay, and was certain that this permission would not be rescinded-not immediately, at least, not if she behaved-her first thought was, What about Celia?
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Harriet Hook would die for her crew, and they for her. She refuses to leave the Isle until every single one of them is guaranteed a spot in Auradon.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Nasira and Jafar, despite loudly telling everyone and each other that they despise each other, and constantly yelling at and arguing with each other, will immediately start yelling at, arguing, and/or throwing things at anyone who starts up with the other. Nasira as good as mothered Jay, despite trying to keep her daughter away from her brother, and exactly half of everything Jafar's Junk Shop makes goes to Nasira. Not without some grumbling, and there is no fanfare-it is simply matter-of-fact, a fact of life.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but as Nasira's health starts failing, Jade joins Harriet Hook's pirate crew, asking to be paid only in medicine, and Jay checks in on her once a day, and Jafar's deliveries to his sister increase in frequency.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Jade and Jay pickpocket gifts for each other for their respective birthdays, and will allow each other to crash at their respective hideouts/ships when in need, and Jade, the elder of the cousins by three days (and she never lets him forget it) will sometimes slip him a trinket when he needs to fill his father's quota.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but the three Hook siblings have always been united, even when divided.
Harriet, the spitting image of their father, stands up to their father during his rages and tries to calm him down while Harry drags CJ to the crow's nest. Harriet always allows both her siblings free passage on her ship, even when Harry joins Uma's crew and CJ refuses to be part of her crew at all. Harriet teaches CJ how to braid her hair and gives Harry his first hook and tells them both stories of their mother.
Harry is the first to rush forward to defend his sisters, the first to join in their games when they were younger, always the one groaning and complaining about all the chores he had to do, but always the one doing a few of theirs as well. He joins Uma's crew instead of Harriet's, but if Harriet's crew is ever in danger, he leads his newfound crew into battle right alongside them.
Both of them keep a secret eye on CJ, the youngest, the one most like their mother in appearance, in some ways even more of a wild card than Harry is, for while Harriet is icy calm and thoughtful and Harry is quite the opposite, Harry at least has his crew to ground him. CJ does not, having refused to join any crew, having always wished to be alone; even befriending the witch doctor's daughter was mostly by accident. But Harriet and Harry will sometimes wake up to find CJ sleeping in a hammock strung up in a corner, having shown up in the middle of the night, and she will occasionally drop off random interesting and/or useful trinkets for them to find as gifts, and once she got to Auradon, why did she want to take Ben hostage? As leverage to get her siblings off of the Isle, of course.
It is known on the Isle that if you start up with one Hook sibling, you start up with all, so you'd better not start up with them unless you want to be stabbed with a hook.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Ursula boasts loudly of what Uma has accomplished except when Uma is in earshot.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Clay Clayton goes to Harriet Hook and offers to join her crew, to obey her absolutely, to work for her, to do anything she asks, in exchange for protection and sometimes shelter for his younger twin brother and sister, Clark and Clara Clayton.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost, but Yzla and Zevon stay up late at night whispering to each other, and Yzla looks out for Zevon and offers to help with his schoolwork, and they steal food and items for each other, and when Yzla joined the Anti-Heroes Club she thought, This way I'll be able to bring Zevon with me when Auradon takes us off the Isle, and when Zevon teamed up with CJ Hook to take over Auradon, he thought, Now I can finally get my sister off the Isle, like she deserves.
Love does not exist on the Isle of the Lost.
That's what Auradon tells itself, at least.
Okay okay hear me out. Hades was the isle’s unofficial babysitter for magically gifted children. He isn’t actually Mal’s father, he just used to look after her.
And Evie. And Uma. And Freddie. And Celia. And Zevon. And Yzla. And Maddie. And logically Hadie.
They’re all fluent in greek, know greek mythology by heart, hate Zeus, and consider him their dad.

To give a taste of what the vibe of Hounds of Auradon will be! I'll be taking a break from the lovely @ginnyrules27 's Choosing series that I was writing in parallel to, to finalize the outline and write my own AU fanfiction. Though it will include some of her original characters in addition to my own.
The premise: Foreign ambassadors are a dime a dozen, and newly crowned Benjamin Le Bête met too many to remember. Unfortunate since one man came to see if he would be as vicious as his father. Found lacking, the land of Happily Ever Afters becomes embroiled in War.
Warnings: T. Death prominent. Some description of mature themes of violence or intimacy.
Edit: I will be finishing Adventures in Auradon first! I won't be starting HoA until after the New Year begins, and I will probably post a first chapter setup, but then no more until HoA is fully done. It's a pretty expansive project, and I'll write smaller things on the side, so I won't be totally absent while I prepare it :D
