my kit OC getting some attention.. I won’t be posting the full image on here, but, I’ve linked the post on e621!
Ruffy, Punka, Mochka, Kaska, electric keoki,
“I don’t think you should have pets if you’re a zoo, you should rehome them.” Never fails to annoy me.
Do you know how many cats and dogs are abused? Millions. 50% to 60% of dogs and 60% to 63% of cats are literally overweight (neglect).
If I hypothetically drop my pets off at a shelter, chances are, they’re going to be abused. Even if I could give them to someone I know they probably wouldn’t receive the same care. So, you want them to go somewhere else and live a worse life just because I happen to be a zoo? something which does not affect them at all? I don’t understand this way of thinking.

I always sigh whenever an anti says “oh, you have a dog? I feel so bad for them.”
Why? because I look at weird furry art? I hope you know this dog eats better than you do. She’s walking 4 to 5 miles every day and getting playtime on top of that. She gets to go hiking, swimming, and frolicking through fields. She gets to track and observe wildlife with me. She has more toys than I can count, including puzzles. I do her hair, I clean her teeth, I clean out her ears. She gets trained with positive reinforcement. One of her “dog beds” is actually a huge footstool just for her and she has her own blankets on it. She has her own dog friends who she gets to see almost every day. And I can keep going here.
But go on, please tell me how she ‘must be abused’ because I happen to be a minority.
Hi! I have a questions about people who have paraphilic attraction. (Is that how you spell it? The non-distress one)
Would you mind me asking a few questions, I currently know nothing about it. (All good if you don’t want to answer)
Specifically Zoos.
I don’t understand it, and it makes me automatically uncomfortable. I know that discomfort comes from a place of misinformation and lack of knowledge, so I’d like to clear it up so I can form a knowledge-based opinion rather than a misinformed opinion.
Can you please explain it for me? Because currently my first assumptions are that Zoos only/always want to have relations/relationships/sex with animals. And I have a feeling from one of your previous posts that might not be the full explanation.
Again, all good if you don’t want to answer me :)

I’m glad you’re asking questions and trying to learn more
My attraction to non-humans is no different from, for example, going to a restaurant and finding my waiter/waitress cute. I don’t want to act on that attraction (in this case it’s because they’re a stranger), but they are attractive. If I see an alligator, I can think to myself, “that’s a nice-looking alligator” without being tempted to do anything. Sometimes I do have fantasies when I’m alone, but I don’t want them to become a reality. I know in real life it would be unethical, risky, and, in my opinion, kind of gross. Even with my boyfriend, I’m not always tempted to be intimate even though I’m always attracted to him.
(Of course, it’s important to note that you can be tempted to do something without actually doing it.)
I’m also not attracted to every individual that I see; it’s actually very rare that I do have a crush, and sometimes that crush ends up going away. Just like with humans.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask
Hey so I have a question:
If i think im a Zoo, what should I do?? Ive been raised in a super anti household and feel disgusting but id never hurt me animals, i dont even own the one im attracted (?) too. I havent told anyone and rlly need asvice
I’d recommend befriending or just talking to zoos/pro-para people. Even if you turn out not to be a zoo it’s still nice to have more open-minded people around.
I would not recommend jumping into the zeta community though… (which is what some people end up doing because they’re seemingly the most vocal.)
Hating people over what they’re attracted to is bigotry.
It doesn’t matter what the attraction is, it’s still wrong.
