People who say this tick me off so much because its so easy to disprove. Like, say it is real. Say that raising the minimum wage causes the prices of everything to go up. By that logic, prices should also stay stagnant when the minimum wage doesn’t go up, and that means (even adding an extra year to account for inflation taking its sweet time to cause said rise in prices), the cost if living shouldn’t have changed at all since the last time the minimum wage changed, in 2009. 11 years ago.

Now I want people who think that raising the minumum wage causes prices to go up to look me in the eye and, with a straight face, tell me the cost of living hasn’t gone up in 11 years. Because if they believe that, then I’ve got some stunning beach front property in Ohio to sell them.
