does anyone have some free revision aids that are rlly good (preferably flashcard based but any is good)
Anki is my go-to for making flashcards! It's free and open source :]
This is great especially for women in the workplace who have learned kinda self-demeaning patterns of behavior in order to not be seen as a bitch. I started communicating this way in my VERY male dominated field and people definitely started taking me at least slightly more seriously. If that makes sense
Even in my heavily female-dominated industry (and office), using this kind of phrasing sees me taken more seriously by management, HR, and clients. I also find that for things like requesting PTO or schedule flexibility, I’m more likely to get uncomplicated agreement from the company if I phrase it as a statement of intention rather than a request for permission. This also goes for asking for accommodations; “X is not going to work, I need Y and Z” is a lot more effective than “I would like Y and Z, if it’s not too much trouble.”
In your 20s, you'll feel like you're losing the race. It's important to understand that there is no race.

I have 1 more semester before graduating! I start in September, but one of my profs already set up the LMS classroom so I'm trying to get a head start on notes. Hoping I'll be able to stay motivated and on top of everything, and aiming to get a part time extension from my summer internship.
you don’t need perfect conditions to start. you just need to start. five minutes of focus is better than waiting for motivation to come.
The Shape of Ideas
[29.10.24, tuesday]
pretty happy cause i managed to get a good hour and half of studying done after struggling to find the time this past days. I'm still not up to date with my notes, but will hopefully be before my next lesson on Friday.
still have some writing exercises left to do, and definitely have to go over the past tense which i started learning during my last lesson. It's nice cause i feel like it'll make such a difference in how i perceive my progress if i'm able to finally talk in the past, and write about my days, previous experiences etc. Feels like I'm gonna unlock a good chunk of the language.
In other news I've applied to a volunteering program that looks amazing and it's in Helsinki, so fingers crossed cause I really want to get an interview, but don't wanna get my hopes super up.
Also!! It's been fun cause since I came back from Finland my instagram seems to think I'm still there or i'm finnish in some way cause all the reels and recommend content is in finnish now, and I've noticed I'm able to understand way more than I used to. I'm obviously still lacking lots of vocabulary and grammar, but I'm able to understand the general gist of the videos, which i wasn't able to before. Feeling good about that!
anyways, enjoy a photo of one of my walks when I was back in Finland, I love that road, I have so many pictures of those houses 🍂✨

Happy Halloween wahoo~ I wrote a midterm today which didn't go as well as I'd hoped, but I'll do my best on the remaining assignments and exam for this class so hopefully it doesn't impact my grade too much. I'm thinking of whether I want to try to go to therapy again too, since my headspace hasn't been great, combined with my conditions it's probably factoring into my school struggle. It's just such a process to try and find a good therapist, which ends up feeling like more work (that I'm paying for 🙃).
I tried mind mapping yesterday after watching Justin Sung's video about taking iPad notes, but I found his sort of all-or-nothing approach to it doesn't really work for me. It was honestly a lot harder to focus, and I can't say I ended up with a better understanding of the content. I am being more liberal with the structure of my notes and adding more diagrams though!
Photos featuring some notes from yesterday, and another part of my desk setup, the Zhongli's ass mousepad from the 2021 Resonant Waves zine. I have a whole collection of 3D mousepads that hopefully I'll be featuring more of (≧∀≦)
How to Get Out of a Study Slump: My Personal Journey
Hello, my fabulous readers! If you've ever found yourself ensnared in the grips of a study slump, take heart—you are not alone! I’ve been there, and I’m excited to share some uplifting strategies that helped me rediscover my passion for learning.
1. Embrace Your Feelings
First, acknowledge that feeling stuck is completely natural. This simple recognition can be your springboard to renewed motivation!
2. Transform Your Space
Revitalize your study environment into a chic sanctuary. A fresh bouquet or an elegant candle can breathe new life into your space and elevate your mood.
3. Set Stylish Goals
Break down your tasks into refined, manageable goals. Focusing on one objective at a time will fill you with a sense of accomplishment that drives you forward.
4. Indulge in Graceful Breaks
Don’t forget the power of intentional breaks! A quick stretch or a delightful cup of herbal tea can refresh your mind and invigorate your spirit.
5. Reconnect with Your Ambitions
Take a moment to reflect on your aspirations. Reconnecting with your purpose will ignite your motivation and remind you of the incredible journey you’re on.
6. Seek Support with Enthusiasm
Don’t hesitate to reach out to friends or mentors. Engaging in vibrant discussions can provide fresh perspectives and lift your spirits.
7. Celebrate Every Success
Finally, celebrate your achievements—no matter how small! Treat yourself to something special, whether it's a stylish outing or a cozy night in with your favorite book.

More progress, hooray! This chapter is taking me ages to finish, but I'm definitely getting back into the groove of taking notes. My handwriting is also improving, and so is my speed. A lecture today was midterm review and I was able to take effective notes which helped my group member who couldn't make it so that's a win in my books.
Featuring my beloved keyboard which I customized with recently new cute purple cat keycaps which spark joy, and Akko fairy silent switches so my late night typing doesn't disturb my family.

Once again struggling with motivation for school. Gamifying with Pomodoro has helped, especially with a Discord server I found from Flocus (they make aesthetic Pomodoro sites) where there's a pomo leaderboard. I'm trying to romanticize studying more so that I actually want to do it, including handwriting my notes and putting some effort into making them look nice.
Featuring my Cross Guild coaster and my juice box, no aesthetic drinks here haha

It's been ages since I've posted anything on here since school has been pretty *non committal grunt* but I decided on a whim to make a habit tracker for this month to try to keep a more regular workout schedule.
Totally didn't use a sticker to cover up where I forgot there's only 28 days in February...
what is in your opinion the most important thing when drawing or writing or doing something creativ in general?
“Do you like it? Yes? Good do that.”
Art is an extension of you, you are seeking ways to express you.
If you like what you do, then honestly that’s the top priority.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
28.09.2022 🌦️ finally, a study post after months! i spent about 3h at the library today, preparing for my exam in october and i'd like to say i was semi productive
